Our newly remodeled home offers a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 37"big screen TV,cable, 3 bedrooms that comfortably sleep 6,convertible sofa, 2 rollaway beds, and a relaxing screened in porch where you can take in the quiet sounds of nature while enjoying your favorite book. Our golf cart will take you to any part of the island within 5 minutes as we are centrally located by the marsh behind the firehouse. Fripp Island Resort offers many camp activities for children as well as excursions for fishing, exploration and wildlife education. OR you can just relax at the beach. Why the Owner Chose Sawgrass
Quiet, safe, away from the "touristy" part of the island which tends to be quite noisy, we enjoy seeing the deer in our backyard and hearing the frogs at night.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Peaceful, relaxing, close to pool, safe for small children. A five minute golf cart ride to golf, tennis, beach club, internet cafe. A great walk over the marsh via boardwalk to the beach (10minutes). House is very child/pet friendly.

Quite, secluded area, but everything within a short golf cart ride

Being from a hectic city with lots of traffic, what a wonderful treat to spend Thanksgiving there at such a laid back place and cooking our Thanksgiving Turkey. The house was just as described, with everything spotless. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Looked forward to going to bed with it's cozy Down Comforter. The whole island lost power for a few hours because of a car running into a power pole off the island. We made the best of it with picking up enough wood from the yard and starting a cozy fire in the fireplace. We had also brought some logs with us. Our little Sheltie quickly felt at home and enjoyed watching the neighborhood dogs during our walk, and was facinated with the deer. I will say, that the neighbors do need to do a better job of picking up after their dogs though, We found evidence in our yard several times. Where we live, there is a strict rule about picking up and we always carry a doggy bag. We used the golf cart a couple times to go to the beach. It is a very short drive, and one evening we were driving back at dusk and we saw about 30 deer, many bucks. They would just come right over to the golf cart, as if they wanted to be fed. and you really need to be careful while driving as they will just stroll across the roads, not afraid of people at all. We did not use the amenity cards, but played golf over at Cat Island at the Sanctuary, which is a third of the cost of Fripp's courses. Don't miss dining at Johnson Creek Tavern, right off the island. Interesting place, great food with a kind of Jimmy Buffet theme. We also went into Beaufort one day, charming town, and don't miss out on the buggy ride learning some of the history of the area.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

The house was beautiful and there were ample supplies, well-equipped kitchen, porch seating for watching deer, large TV for the football games. The golf cart rides to the beach, marina, and all points on the island was a real treat for everyone. The sections of the island had very different views of the ocean, some with very wide beaches, some with rocks and beautiful views of other islands. We enjoyed the entertainment at the Adult pool two evenings. That was our favorite beach access point since there was a restroom nearby when we stayed for several hours. My only caution is that we spent extra money for the amenity cards, and in October, all the pools were too cold for any swimming. We tried the Cabana pool since it gets lots of sun, but it too was freezing. Also, almost all the restaurants, snack bars, and the food court were closed, so don't bother with amenity cards during off-season. There are steps at every entry to the house, which wasn't a big problem, even though we had a senior who recently had surgery. Be sure and bring repellent or clip-ons for the mosquitos. Owner was prompt in returning my security deposit.
