Carolina King Retreat and Marina is a beautiful waterfront haven located on Lake Marion. We have 15 acres and 1500 feet of shoreline. The landing has two launching ramps, seven piers to fish from or dock at, as well as a fish cleaning facility for your convenience. The full service marina is open 7 days a week at 6 am. The marina carries groceries, ice, beer, bait, tackle, fuel, and fishing/hunting licenses. Our cabin comes with a large screened in porch and deck which overlooks Lake Marion. The cabin is complete with central heat and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and satellite tv. The cabin has one bedroom with twin beds and two sleeping lofts with queen size air mattresses, as well as a sleeper sofa in the living room. This cabin sleeps a maximum of six people. No pets allowed. You will also have the use of a boat slip on the dock in front of your cabin.
The Santee Cooper lake system consists of two lakes. Lake Marion has 110,600 acres, and Lake Moultrie, 60,400 acres. Because of our warm winters, these lakes never will freeze over, you an fish year round. At the present time these lakes hold a world record Channel Catfish (58 pounds) and a Warmouth weighing 2.2 pounds. The lakes held the record for Black Crappie (5 pounds), Chain (Jack) (6.4 pounds), Channel Catfish (58 pounds), and a Arkansas Blue (109.4 pounds). Great Fishing!
For those of you who love to spend your time golfing, there are 17 golf courses within a short distance of the Lake Marion cabin.
For you hunters, there is plenty of game. As an example; turkey, deer, wild boar, quail, and dove. Enjoy your hunting experience.
Boat rentals and fishing guides are also available.
Our cabin is located only a short distance from historical Charleston, the gateway to the south.
