When we walked through the door of this amazing apartment on the Ile St. Louis, we were immediately in awe! The photographs on the listing did not begin to show the beauty and attention to detail that the owners have created in every corner of this apartment! This is clearly their home in Paris, not just a rental property. We spent ten lovely days from July 16 - 26, 2011 here. Even though the weather outside was very atypical Paris in the summer, cold and rainly, this apartment made it our best trip to Paris ever! We are forever spoiled. Our next trip to this gorgeous city will only be planned after we have verified that this apartment is available. Thank you, Richard and Keri, for sharing your lovely Paris home with us.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

And now a word from your British visitors! We found this apartment on the internet and it has been a delight! We swapped the English rain for the sunshine of Paris and took in Disneyland, the Louvre, Tour Eiffel, Montmartre, Moulin Rouge not forgetting more local places such as the local islands and the left bank. Vegetarians can get a great meal at Le Grenier de Notre Dame. Find the "Au Clair la Lune" if you go to Montmartre! Thre French do most things very well, but they do 3 things better than the rest of us imo - *bread - boulangerie on main street *cheese - fromagerie on main street *wine - depot Nicholas All are available within a few paces of this apartmnet so enjoy! We certainly enjoyed staying in your home - it made for a lovely time and the location was superb. We checked out sights, shopping, and cafe and enjoyed our visits to the Louvre, Orsay and Versailles. What a treat! Paris with my daughter was the best and we thank you!

The ambiance of your lovely apartment is warm, cozy and charming. We have spent 10 wonderful days enjoying the city of lights. Being students at the Ritz Escoffier we found the kitchen well equiped. If we come to Paris in the future we hope your home will be available.

Our week in Paris was most enjoyable; "living the life". We visit here often and have never stayed in an apartment until now. The four of us had so much fun going out in the morning to get freshly baked bread and preparing coffee to go with , then enjoying conversation in the privacy of our own little place. We were so convientently located to everything. We walked 5 miles +/- to the Eiffel Tower in the rain! We enjoyed our wine hour every night before heading out to dinner. The apartment is amazing. The decor is over the top! We look forward to coming back for another visit.

This was our first trip to Paris... And it was more wonderful than we could have ever imagined! Your flat is lovely and you provided us with nearly everything that we needed to be comfortable for our weeks stay. We were so close to many key sights, shopping, ice cream, yummy restaurants! Our one week spent in Paris was magnificent, wet, beautiful, cold, filling and exhausting (from shopping). The flat was a great place to end the day - as well as start it with a short walk for the best crossants in Paris! We are sorry to leave!

Seeing the pictures of this apartmet we could only say "Holy Smokes"! We came to call it "Chez Holy Smokes"! We had a wonderul time here. the appointments are comme il faut!
