Lovely cabin, right on the river. We will be back again and again! Kitchen was fully stocked, wood stove was very nice. So nice that they allowed our dogs! Cable TV, but nice to be away from the internet and cell service! Even though the main house is close, we felt like we were all alone!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners.

This is a cozy cabin which has a great view of the river. The owner has taken care of this property and is concerned about your comfort during the stay. We have been going to this area for several years searching for the righ accomodations and now we have found it. We will be back.

Despite my desire to keep this place my own little secret, I like the owners so much that I'm compelled to write this review. My partner and I have been coming to this little private beach house for six years running now. We discovered it by chance, planning it as a stop-over on the way north, but we just stayed once we got there. It's a piece of secluded heaven, with fishing, walks, kayaking and canoeing (rentals) and sunning on the beach (yes, it's very private). There are resident deer and an occasional otter, beaver or bear, and plenty of bird life. Though we vow to do more while we're there every year, we tend to stay and loaf, watching the water and reading and cooking in the well appointed kitchen. This year the re-model took the cabin from cozy-funky to updated and more spacious. A very romantic place, with "historic Weaverville" and all the essential shopping 15 minutes away. The owners live right next door, but are supremely considerate of one's privacy and give you sole access to the beach when renting. Well, now I've done it. So while I couldn't recommend this place more highly, please stay away. I don't want to find out you've rented it when I want to be there.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.
