This cottage is set on the Pawcatuck River. You can fish, swim, kayak, and canoe right from the yard. There is a large deck on the 1st level and a second deck/balcony from the second level of the house. The lower level has the kitchen, full bathroom with laundry facilities, living room, dining room, bedroom and a 3 season room.
The upper level has a sitting area at the top of the stairs that has the sleeper sofa, and 2 bedrooms and another full bath. The balcony overlooking the river is off the sitting area. The property is well shaded and does not require air-conditioning to stay cool.
Within a 10 minute drive is the Atlantic Ocean and the Misquamicut Beach area. In town there are many excellent restaurants but if you would like to dine in we can provide a catered dinner for an additional fee. Historic Watch Hill is 15 minutes away with beautiful "cottages" and lovely shops.
Travel a little further and you can visit historic Mystic, CT and see the Seaport and the Aquarium. It is only 20-30 minutes to either the Foxwoods Casino or Mohegan Sun Casino for world class gaming and entertainment. Your biggest decision will be whether to just sit and enjoy the river floating by or to take advantage of all the local attractions just a short jaunt away.
