Situated in a quiet neighborhood with a large enclosed yard, this home is a great spot for a family vacation.
Three bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, dining room, living room and wrap around deck with BBQ - all on one level, also with a basement-level laundry with washer/dryer.
Bedrooms: master bedroom with queen bed, 2nd bedroom with queen bed, 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds. Master has window AC, 20' TV, 3rd bedroom has window AC.
Kitchen: all updated appliances - dishwasher, microwave, fridge, stove/oven, blender, mixer, TV - center bar with 2 stools.
Dining room: Seating for 6 around dining table, with folding chairs for guests.
Living room: large couch and love seat, computer desk, TV with DVD, VCR, AM/FM stereo with CD changer, telephone , with high speed wireless Internet.
Note: Due to insurance regulations the fireplace is non-functional.

We stayed here for three weeks in Sept 2012. The Shannon house was perfect!!! Comfortable with an excellent house layout, a living room that can comfortably sit six people, updated kitchen, washer/dryer, large backyard for our dog. No car is needed as the house is close to everything and the town has free bus service to take everyone all over Acadia National Park.The house is in a very quiet residential area only a five minute walk from the village square and great restaurants; and another three minute walk down to the harbor. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend the Shannon Cottage to anyone wanting a fine house located close to the heart of the beautiful town of Bar Harbor.Did you find this review helpful? The photos and description do not do justice to this lovely home! Immaculately clean and despite its small size, the floor plan and furnishings made it easy to stow all that four daughters aged 13 to 21 packed for vacation. It is an ideal location in Bar Harbor within a short walk to shopping and dining but situated on a quiet street. The kitchen is very well equipped and convenient and Hannaford's market is just a short walk away. Plenty of videos, games, puzzles and books for rainy days too. We are absolutely delighted that we found Shannon Cottage and recommend it highly!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
