*** 2 BR / 2 BA ***

ALL INCLUSIVE RENT:
$1400 per month High Season
$1250 per month Low Season or LONG TERM
$400 per week (double occupancy/$25 each additional person)

INCLUDES: Maid Service 3x week; electric; propane gas; water; cable tv; DSL internet connection; & local telephone calls.

Well maintained cozy home: 2 bedrooms & 2 baths (1 ensuite downstairs, 1 upstairs); living/dining area; kitchen; laundry room; upstairs airy loft; den with book, CD, and DVD libraries, cable TV, leading to a 600sq foot outdoor patio with lots of plants (patio is partially covered for shady seating); and 2 smaller internal patios. This is a perfect house for a couple, with room for guests. Tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and eclectic art.

Located on a typical Mexican "privada" (narrow, dead end street) in the village, behind Farmacia Guadalajara, you are a short few blocks' walk from everything: the plaza, lake front, shops, restaurants, supermarket, bakery, movie theatres, Wednesday outdoor market, Lake Chapala Society, and much more. A bus stop, 24 hour pharmacy, internet cafe and ATM are just around the corner.

Parking is off-street but a car is NOT NECESSARY given the central location. You enter through the long garage, with my apartment adjacent. Then pass through a door separating the entry patio and house from the garage.

This is a small Mexican neighborhood street where everyone knows everyone else, and they all look out for one another, making it very secure. Inside, you are in your own private hideaway; step outside and you are in a typical local neighborhood.

The village of Ajijic, on Lake Chapala, has been a haven for artists and writers for decades. There are many restaurants from gourmet to taco stands, and everything in-between, as well as a variety of art galleries, antique and gift shops, boutiques and more. The Lake Chapala Society, with it's many activities, classes, library, and lovely gardens, is located one block up from the lake in the center of the village.

Ajijic is located on the northwest side of the lake, 5 miles from the municipal seat of Chapala. The international airport is a 30 minute drive, with Guadalajara about 20 minutes farther north from the airport. The artisan centers of Tlaquepaque and Tonala are part of the metropolitan Guadalajara area.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the property or the area.

Hasta pronto,

Robyn

    • I just spent a month in Ajijic. I rented this wonderful place, it is beautifully decorated if you are an art lover and the furniture is very comfortable if you like to sit and read. The patios are lovely. Its location is very convenient. We always felt very safe here and everyone who lives in the privada are very friendly. We enjoyed this house so much that we will be returning for our next vacation.

    • We love the Chapala area and try to come down at least once or twice a year. After some of the houses we rented in various areas, we settled on this wonderful little gem, close to everything. I don't do cobblestones well and like the fact that I can walk mostly on sidewalks to the plaza and the local restaurants. We have stayed at Robyn's on two separate occasions and will undoubtedly return. Clean is also very important and the place is cozy and spotless. We hope you'll enjoy the place as much as we have.

    • Gosh, so sorry to have forgotten to leave another comment. After our first stay in 07, we booked for another month in 08. The house was so cozy, clean and well appointed as before and we loved it, and the wonderful central location. Robyn is a great landlady and goes out of her way to be helpful.

    • We rented this home for ten days in June and had a wonderful stay. The house is situated in the village so you are withing walking distance to everything. We found the home to be extremely pleasant, as well as being well equiped with anything we might need during our stay. The owner lives in the casita in the front of the property and was a great help with our questions regarding not only the house but also about the village. We would highly recommend this property.

    • We rented this beautiful, centrally-located home for the month of March 2009. It was a perfect location, a short walk to all the major attractions of the town including the town centre and fabulous restaurants. Robyn's house is beautifully appointed, spotless and very comfortable. We felt at home the minute we arrived. Robyn was as accommodating as she was discreet, making us feel well looked after but not intruded upon. We would highly recommend Robyn's beautiful home for anyone wishing to stay in the beautiful town of Ajijic or the Lake Chapala area.
