This is a new (2007) 2 BR/BA penthouse level condo in the Opal, which is one block from the McKinley Street Beach and 15 minute walk to the Rehoboth boardwalk. Stay in this professional interior decorated condominium, with NEW furniture, 2 queen beds, and a queen pull out sofa that sleeps 6. This is a immaculate, non-smoking beach condo. Enjoy the open layout with french door views of the Atlantic Ocean, Rehoboth Bay, and the building's private pool with gas grill. Kids will enjoy the John Waples Playground only a half block away.
Also, take advantage of the magnificent kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances including coffee pot, toaster, and blender. Martha Stewart sheets/towels and a washer/dryer are provided at no extra charge. The 42 inch HDTV with Comcast HD, wireless high-speed internet, and ipod speakers allows for every technology of home. Two covered parking spots are provided for guests usage.

Why the Owner Chose Dewey Beach
Why We Prefer Not To Have Rentals Start/end on a Saturday:
We rent both by weekends and weekly and both are popular. However, if we have a rental end on a Saturday, it makes that Saturday difficult to rent by the weekend. So to try to prevent vacant Saturday nights, we try to accept weekly rentals starting on any other day of the week besides Saturday. To complicate matters further, our cleaning service is usually booked with another customer on Saturdays. We know our cleaning service is great since we also use our condo and we really like having the piece of mind to know our condo will always be clean for both us and our guests.

We are DC based professionals who love Dewey Beach, however did not like staying in dirty, cheap Dewey rental properties/hotels. We both rent our condo on VRBO and use it personally. It is perfect for families/groups of up to six people who enjoy Dewey Beach.

Perfect condo in the middle of everything!

This condo is absolutely fabulous! It is literally in the middle of town, and that's what's so great about Dewey -- you can walk to everything, including the beach. There were 5 of us in the condo -- two couples and one 7 month old baby -- and had plenty of room. It was great being able to have the kitchen to save money on meals when we felt like cooking, and the pool access was a total bonus. There's nothing like coming back from the beach and jumping in a pool (where the water was sooo warm and clean). Want to go to Rehoboth? There are two Jolly Trolley stops a block away. What I was impressed with was the fact that they provided just about anything you would need -- linens, bath towels, trash bags, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, tissues, toilet paper, etc. I have been renting houses with my husband's family in NJ for the past 7 years and we always have to bring every little thing you can think of. No need here -- it's pretty much all provided for you and that's fabulous! We definitely had a great time and staying in such a nice condo (with TWO queen beds so couples aren't stuck on singles or in bunks) made it that much better. We will definitely be keeping this condo on our list for when we come back next year. The owner was great and easy to communicate with and we send him a big thank you from us!! (Just one funny tidbit of warning for future renters -- Watch out for those fast-moving elevator doors! They'll close on you before you can blink!)
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
