Enjoy this beautiful lakefront setting in a charming log cabin with your own private, sand beach and large deck overlooking Lake Tahoe.
This family-friendly home sleeps 14 and is fully equipped for your vacation. The dining table has removable leaves that expand to easily accommodate 12 and there is room for four additional people at the kitchen counter and 6 more at the patio table on the deck.
There are three king size beds, five twins and a twin/twin bunk bed. Four of the six bedrooms have unobstructed lake views. Each of the three floors of the cabin have a bathroom.
Tennis courts are down the block, and a heated pool and more tennis courts are a short way up the hill at the homeowner center, which also has ping pong, play area, group BBQ and picnic area, horseshoes and volleyball. The homeowners' pier is at the end of the block along with the homeowner beach, designated swimming areas, sand volleyball court, barbecue area, and picnic tables. Set up a tennis lesson with the pro or swim camp for your kids through the homeowners' rec. center.
Bring your own boat or rent locally. We have a buoy in front of our beach for mooring your boat. Bring your kayaks, sailboats, windsurfers and paddleboards right up onto the sandy beach. Local companies will deliver kayaks to your door or beach.
All Tahoe activities are close by including boating, skiing, hiking, cross country, mountain biking, golf, fishing and anything else you can imagine! Or you can simply relax on the deck or the private beach and marvel at the views.
Love snow sports? Twenty minutes to world class skiing -- Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Homewood Mountain or Northstar. Groomed and ungroomed cross country skiing is just up the hill. Make your own sled path or head out for tubing at the local ski resorts.
Foodies will love the restaurant options in Tahoe City, West Shore, Squaw Valley and Truckee. Nightlife with music performances and gambling is just 30 minutes away at Stateline Nevada.

-Such an amazing weekend with a group of friends (youngish couples). This place had enough bedrooms for everyone, a ridiculously beautiful view of the lake, a grill for us to make steaks on. Basically, it was awesome. We'd go back for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The Big Stuff: Charming log cabin right on the lake. Breathtaking views of the lake from the living/dining room, 4 bed rooms. Cozy. Set up so that several families can be comfortable. We spent a stormy Christmas week there with 6-13 people (ages 10-86) as folks came and went during the week. Very comfortable for cooking, eating and hanging out. When we called or emailed about minor issues the property manager showed up with in 10 minutes to address the issues. The washer dryer is placed near the living room so that it is really easy to do laundry in the evening, don't have to bring so much stuff. Plenty of hot water for everyone to shower and to do the laundry and dishes. Beds and bedding very comfortable. The owner was responsive and generous and lovely to deal with. The small stuff: When we arrived the cabin was warm. The kitchen was stocked with somewhat dated pots and pans but there was everything we needed for lots of cooking big meals and it was all clean. There was plenty of soap, tp, paper towels, wood, other necessities for the whole week. TV and internet worked nicely. Lovely dishes but there weren't enough cups for everyone, we bought some disposable hot cups so everyone could have a hot drink. The downstairs rooms were a bit chilly, the heaters didn't seem to work very well down there but it wasn't too bad and the property manager brought a portable heater over. There is a rather steep staircase from the street to the house, not a good place for someone with mobility issues. There is no mud room or good place to keep skis, sleds or boards except outside or to dry them off and bring them in. The Dollar Pt. roads were plowed nicely (however we got stuck in 4x4 trying to get onto the highway from Dollar Pt.... just bad luck) We felt lucky to have such a great place for our vacation. Grab it if you can!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We stayed at this Old Tahoe log cabin for a week this summer and had everything you could want right outside the door. The private, sandy beach and huge deck are fantastic. We swam and kayaked off the beach and played tennis just down the street and also up by the beautiful homeowner's pool. Our friends stopped by with their motor boat and met us at the homeowner's pier to go wake boarding. It was so convenient! The house has a buoy renters can use (maybe next year we'll bring the boat!). The house has everything we needed-- the dining table that seats 13 -- the high efficiency washing machine for all the beach towels--we put most of the kids downstairs so they had their own space. Tahoe city is about a 5 minute drive with nice restaurants and plenty of shopping. We rented bikes and rode on the many miles of bike paths. Rafting down the Truckee from Tahoe City to River Ranch was a blast! Just bring plenty of sun screen. We want to try this place in the winter too since it is close to Squaw, Northstar, Alpine and Homewood. It was so great to sit in front of the fireplace in the evening and play games with the family. And check out the stars at night! We had a wonderful time and plan to come back again! This home was perfect for our growing family. We could all stay in ONE home and still talk to each other after the vacation! Amazing! This home really is set up for 13 comfortably.
