Used this cabin as a home base for a wedding weekend in the Clemson area this past March. Was a great place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the weekend activities as it is in a very quiet area. The cabin was cozy and well equipped for our needs. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would say the cabin is rustic, so if you require a six-diamond setting this is not for you-if you like simplicity, coziness and quiet it is!! We were early in the rental season, so the cabin still needed a good spring cleaning inside and out. The dock was very nice as were all outside areas and decks. This would be ideal for a family get-a-way-I would return in an instant!

PERFECT LAKE GETAWAY!

My husband and I rented the property for my birthday weekend. We have several friends on Hartwell and have stayed at a variety of properties. This by far has been our favorite! Perfect set up for a vacation on the water for just the two of us and I am even looking to rent it in the future for a stay with my nieces and nephews. Everything is provided and easy to find and Lauren is absolutely wonderful to work with. She answered emails and phone calls promptly, anytime I needed to ask a question. My husband enjoyed fishing off the dock and there was plenty of room to tie up our boat. Small beach area was also wonderful and an easy way for our Golden Retriever to go down and swim (he will not jump off a dock!) My only regret is that I did not find this place soner! We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Lauren!!

Great Getaway

We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights in August of 2011. It was clean, comfortable, and very convenient to the interstate and restaurants in Anderson. The lake access is ideal...great dock and smooth walkway down to the lake. We hope to be back in the near future!

My family stayed here at the end of June and had a fabulous time. The cabin was cozy and very clean and was a great place to spend quality time with our sons. We brought our own boat and the dock was nice and big and perfect for swimming, boating, and enjoying the nice view. Easy walk from house to dock. Nice porch for eating meals. Great location coming from Greenville - easy to get to off of I-85. We are looking forward to returning in September!

Ecclectic and beautiful

My wife(RN-56) and I(MD-66) enjoy ecclectic experiences. We camp, hike, fish, cycle and dine. We have done one-star to four-star. We liked the quaintness and simple natural beauty of the lake house. It was clean and interesting. The lake is gorgeous and the dock is positioned perfectly for swimming and sunsets. Next time we will rent a pontoon boat to add more options.

Cozy cabin on Lake Hartwell

Spent a long weekend with a few girlfriends. It was quiet and very relaxing. We loved sitting on their dock and was so peaceful. Also great to have coffee in the morning on the deck and enjoying the sunset from the deck or the dock. So easy to get to the dock, close and no climbing. So we could come and go to the house as needed. Looking forward to going back in the summer with my husband and 2 grandchildren. Listing descrip. was very accurate. We had such a lovely time - my husband said it was like a 2nd honeymoon.....Nature, beauty, weather and a lovely home to cuddle in. For awhile We forgot the world and were just so close. WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS CABIN NUMEROUS TIMES OVER THE YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN EAGER FOR OUR NEXT TIME THERE, THE OWNERS ARE ACCOMMODATING, FRIENDLY AND WILLING TO DO ALMOST ANYTHING TO MAKE YOUR STAY A PLEASANT EXPIERIENCE. THERE ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH LINENS, CLEAN POTS, PANS AND COOKING UTENSILES. THEY EVEN GO SO FAR AS TO KEEP CONDIMENTS AND COFFEE MAKING SUPPLIES READILY AVAILABLE FOR THIER GUEST, INCLUDING THE COFFEE !!!! WE HAVE ENJOYED MANY GREAT TIMES THERE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS, AND LOOK FORWARD TO MANY MORE. False Advertising

The listing description is not accurate. There is no working wood burning fireplace as promised. The owner misrepresented the property and would not consider a partial refund when I requested it due to their false advertising and verbal claims about the cabin. I would not recommend this property. There were not pillowcases for the pillows, as promised. The cookware is in poor shape. The stairs leading to the lower level are a hazard, my husband split his head open on the way down.

Owner response:Unfortunately, this guest fails to mention the conversation we had PRIOR to their rental that the indoor fireplace was NOT functional but that we have a lovely wood burning chiminea on our upper deck. I would have gladly issued a full refund at this point if requested. I had several telephone conversations with this guest during their stay (how to work TV remote control) and there was no mention of dissatisfaction. It was not until their stay was completed and they returned home that I was notified of a problem. Several sets of fresh clean linens are provided and stored in well labeled dresser drawers.

My family and I have come here 3 out the past four years and have recommended this great little getaway to several of out friends. We will definitely return. The house has a nice setup with a bedroom in the front and a bedroom downstairs leaving a nice size family room for watching tv and playing games. The boat dock is nicely lit, close to the house and just down a gentle path to the lake. The dock itself is big enough to accommodate my 23 foot cruiser and 2 jet skis and still leave room for swimming. The owner has always been very accommodating and easy to work with, even letting us show up a little early if the situation allowed. I highly recommend this as a great getaway for the family or friends.

Great cabin on beautiful Lake Hartwell

We have stayed at the cabin 4 times in the last 2 years! My family and I absolutely love the cabin, location and the amenities. The lake is gorgeous with great swimming, fishing and boating. The cabin is decorated very nice and is very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped; there is a washing machine and dryer, nice furniture and bedding. We love that the cabin is dog friendly. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing get away! I would recommend this cabin to anyone. We have young children 5 and 8 and they love vacationing here. The owners are very nice and willing to answer any questions. We cannot wait for our next vacation here!
