Bay Avenue Beachfront House - The only beachfront rental right on our great beach in the Town of Cape Charles. Panoramic water views and the sunsets from our two stories of 70 foot long porches are some of the best on the east coast. A truly unique beach home, it was built in 1915. Originally in the town center, the house was moved to the beachfront, expanded and completely renovated in 2004. The house is all new and upscale with all the amenities of a brand new home, while retaining the charm of a Victorian era beach house. Water views from every window.
General Info - This home is furnished and comfortable. Hardwood floors throughout and ceramic tile in baths. New, two-zone central heat and air conditioning. Formal dining room seats eight. Eat-in kitchen with water-views. The fully outfitted kitchen features microwave, dishwasher, large refrigerator, Jenn-Air gas cook top and real walnut butcher block counter-top. There are two master suites, plus two additional bedrooms. Outdoor shower and foot wash for sandy kids coming back from the beach right out front. You can watch the kids from the porch.
First Floor - Enjoy the large front parlor, family room, kitchen, dining room, 70 feet of waterfront porches and outdoor dining area to watch the kids or enjoy a meal, cocktail or the sunset. Bedroom #1 is on the first floor, and is a Master Suite with King bed, oversized Jacuzzi jetted tub plus shower. Plus a Full futon in TV Room.
Second Floor - The second floor has an additional 70 feet of waterfront porches as well as three more bedrooms; Bedroom # 2 is a second master suite with a Queen bed, Private Bath and three large waterfront windows. Bedroom # 3 has a Queen bed and water views and Bedroom #4 has one Full and one Twin bed. Bedrooms #3 and #4 share a bath. On-street parking is available.
Our Town - The whole town is a Historic District. Walk a few blocks to enjoy restaurants and shops in downtown Cape Charles or the Bay Creek Marina with gourmet restaurants, boutiques, shops and over 200 boat slips. Enjoy walking or biking on the boardwalk and out to the new town pier. Just minutes away is Bay Creek with beautifully landscaped drives, club house, restaurant and pro shop, as well as the incredible Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer signature PGA golf courses.
Our Area - The Eastern Shore of Virginia is a nature lover's paradise! Kayak, swim, sail, hunt for shells and beach glass, and antique shopping are just some activities available for your enjoyment. Surf fish right out front of the house or fish at the new town fishing pier 4 blocks away. If you crave excitement or crowds, Cape Charles is 35 miles from Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Historic Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown are within one and one half hours away. Busch Gardens is also located in Williamsburg.
