My husband & I rented this house along with 2 other couples. We stayed for a week. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us. THE COMMUNITY: The property is located in a nice area which is very quiet & very safe. The speed limit in the entire area is 25 mph. There is a police station alomst directly across the street & the police are driving around constantly. The people in the area are very friendly. We went for a walk every morning & everyone you saw they said hi. They have a walking lane on the side of the street with 10th of mile markers so you know how far you have walked. There is a park in the community for residents which is very nice to watch the sun set from. There is also a post office, liquor store, gift shop, boutique, coffee house & a few restaurants in the community within walking distance. THE PROPERTY: The house is located on the main street as you enter Key Colony Beach but you would never know it. It is very quiet. We stayed in the master bedroom which is on the street side but never heard anything going by at night to wake us up. The beds were very comfortable. The house is very well maintained & was very clean when we arrived. We did have a couple of mminor maintanace problems while we stayted. I called the rental company before hours & as soon as they opened they called & the maintanance person "Mark" was there by 9:30. He is a very nice, friendly,& professional person. He fixed our few minor problems very quickly. The pool was perfect size for the 6 of us. The pool people came while they were there to check the water & refill the pool. They also were very nice. The kitchen was well stocked & the grill was clean & worked well. THE AREA: Key Colony Beach is located right off of RT 1. There is a Winn Dixie & Publics for food stores, a couple of banks, a Kmart, CVS, Walgreens within driving distance as well as a bunch of boutiques, boat rental & bait shops. Just to name a few. The house is located about an hours drive from Key West & a 2 hour drive from Miami. I would recommed this house as a rental. I would also rent this house again. We enjoyed our stay!

We are return visitors to Marathon and have previously stayed in high quality accomodation but this house was the best ever! The property was spacious, beautifully decorated, well equipped and the location fanastic. My family loved the swimming pool and the fact that we were able to dock the boat that we hired without any problems. Key Colony beach is a beautiful area to stay and sitting on the dock at night as the sun went down was perfect! We are very much a fishing and boating family and we loved the fact that the house accomodated this with a bait freezer and cleaning station on the dock! Marathon sells itself as a place to spend holidays but this property made our stay extra special! We would not hesitate to recommend the property to other people. Six people can stay here very comfortably. We hope to return in the near future and would love to stay in this property again.
