This lovely studio is located in a quiet neighborhood with a private covered lanai where you can sit out and enjoy this incredibly peaceful place, relax, sip Kona coffee, listen to the birds and gaze at the incredible coastline views.
The studio is in a great location, just a quick trip (20 minutes) to downtown Kailua-Kona, or just a 10 minute drive down to Kealakekua Bay or the City of Refuge National Park. Tucked into the mountainside this studio is at a perfect elevation. With hardwood floors, high ceilings, a king size bed with quality bedding, custom travertine shower and a wet bar, the studio is spacious and comfortable. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker as well as an iron and ironing board, so the room is well equipped. There is a sitting area with television, cable and dvd player as well as a library of movies to choose from.
We are located just a couple minutes from a grocery store, several great places to eat, coffee farms, small towns with galleries, and shopping, and kayak and dive shops. A popular attraction is to kayak across Kealakekua Bay (a 10 minute drive) to the Cook Monument, where there is exceptional snorkeling, and dolphins and whales are often seen.

  • Meghan & Rick were great! They were very helpful in the local things to do. They helped us find nearby attractions and restaurants to eat at. They showed us great hospitality. We were surprised by a big bowl of fresh & local fruit waiting for us. The studio was great! Very clean and private. It has a very nice view of the bay below and is in a great location. Highly recommend.

  • Thanks for just the best "home away from home". We are sorry to have missed Rick and Meghan but Judy was a dream. So nice and helpful. We loved the accommodations, amenities (fruit,coffee, etc.)and was centrally located so we saw the entire Island. And the "vog" didn't stop us...the views were stunning and we loved everything about our stay. So Aloha and Mahalo to you both as well as Rajah and Boris and Hennessey the next door neighbor!

  • We LOVED staying at Meghan and Ricks! The view was nice, the weather was awesome, and they are very hospitable. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at their vacation rental. It's the perfect place! It's very close to everything you'd need. I would definitely come back and stay again!

  • The view is fantastic!!! Every morning, we woke up to the rolling mountains, the sunshine, and the ocean breeze. It really lightens up our spirit! Megan and Rick are great people, very warm-hearted and friendly. If we visit Captain Cook again, we will definitely stay with this rental again!

  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Both the room and view far exceeded our expectations. We would stay here there again even if it were priced at a higher rate (as it stands, this is a great value).
