We'd rented the owner's smaller townhouse just two doors down from this one the year before and just loved the location and, well, everything else to do with the rental. The owner is wonderful and responsive, his contacts in Savannah are fantastic, and the location is beyond perfect. Our kids love being so close to Forsythe Park (you can see the famous fountain from the door) and we loved being within walking distance to the whole city. This property was even nicer, though we wouldn't have thought that possible. Highly, highly recommended, and we hope to stay here again during our yearly trip to Savannah.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th Wedding anniversary this year and as a gift to each other we planned a trip including our children and grandchildren. I don't think we could have made a better choice than this amazing home!! It is furnished beautifully and comfortably! Your clothes, cameras and a few groceries are all you will need for the trip as this place has everything else. We enjoyed being able to walk to Forsythe park and spent most of our play time with our six year and 9 month old grandsons there. The courtyard is wonderful and we had lots of family, as well as girl time spent there. I would recommend this home to all my friends and we are already talking about a return trip!!

As promised, this home was perfect for our Christmas in Savannah. We have stayed in several VRBO houses (in other locations) but never had such a great experience as this one. The owners provided every conceivable item one could need (even wine and beer!) and the location was just right for walking or catching the free buses to enjoy Savannah. We loved it! Thank you, Larry and Betsy, for helping to make this a holiday to remember!

My mom, dad and I spent a lovely fall weekend in this historic townhome in celebration of my mom's birthday. It was perfect in every way. The home is beautiful, very spacious and clean, and tremendously comfortable. I agree with previous reviewers that the online pictures do not do it justice - especially the beautiful deck and courtyard in the back, both of which are right off the modern kitchen and totally private. The weather was nice, so one evening we opened the french doors and grilled steaks out back. Another morning we enjoyed brunch out on the deck. This place really does feel like home, and its authentic, historic feel is perfect for experiencing the charm of Savannah with all the modern comforts. It is perfectly suited to parties traveling together who nonetheless value privacy and space. For couples or larger parties, two of the bedrooms can be closed off to create completely private bedroom/bathroom suites. The home is stocked with everything imaginable - no need to bring anything but your robe and slippers! We cooked several meals, and found everything we needed in the well-stocked pantry. When I needed anything - from scissors to matches to the Savannah telephone book - all I had to do was think about where I would store it - and there it was, just like home! The lovely secretary in the living room served as a perfect spot for my laptop computer, which allowed us to conduct necessary business throughout the weekend. The home is in a great location for seeing the beautiful sights of the Historic District. It sits within view of lovely Forsyth Park and its majestic fountain, and is within easy walking distance of everything. On-the-street parking is plentiful and right outside the front door. We felt safe and secure at all times. Though you will be reluctant to leave the house, if you do, we highly recommend nearby Clary's Cafe (of "Midnight" fame) for breakfast or brunch. Larry and Ariel were terrific to work with, and made sure that we were well taken care of throughout our visit. I would highly recommend this lovely home to anyone visiting Savannah. You will not be disappointed. We hope to stay there again soon.

Savannah in Bloom April 2010 This lovely home allowed us to experience historic Savannah as residents and not tourists. The location is an easy walk to everything from all the beautiful squares to the River Front and lots of restaurants (The Old Pink House is a must) and shops along the way. The Forsyth Park Fountain can be seen from the front door. Anyone who loves historic homes will appreciate this property. This delightful townhouse has large rooms, high ceilings, antique furnishings but with all the modern conveniences we are accustom to. The charming private courtyard was the icing on the cake. The owner was very quick to get back to us with answers to our questions and the rental was a very easy transaction. Larry also had a mountain of information on the area for his guests. Pictures do not do this wonderful home justice, no really! We will have Georgia on our Mind for a long time to come!

My parents rented the house for the week of my wedding. The house is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. It was a real treat for them to stay there. The house was also the perfect place for my bridesmaids and me to get ready. The courtyard was the perfect meeting place for the bride and groom to meet to take pictures prior to the wedding. We definitely hope to rent this house again for a special week/weekend in the future.

My work group had a conference in Savannah and we found this place last minute. I WILL NEVER STAY IN A HOTEL AGAIN!! The rental of this fabulous home was less then 2 small stuffy hotel rooms at the Hyatt. It was perfect. Our group of 4 had a wonderful time we were right in the heart of the historic district. The courtyard area is fabulous. We felt so at home, relaxed. It truly was NIRVANA. Our colleagues were all jealous. This home is beautifully decorated but not stuffy and has a fabulous kitchen, The bedrooms and baths are all great. nicely decorated comfortable. Plus the owners have furnished everything one could need or forget. THe owner and his representative were readily available to answer questions, I highly recommend this place, It was clean, well maintained and beautriful. The pictures are an accurate represenatation of this property except the court yard is even more fabulous than it looks in the pics. THANKS SO MUCH I hope to come back and stay again.

What a terrific home! Six ladies met up for our annual trip and this did not disappoint! The kitchen is a great place to gather & chat, the deck & courtyard are a terrific feature, there are bikes to ride, and plenty of room in the home. The washer & dryer came in handy. The young man that met us with the keys had a wealth of information for us & was very helpful with getting the lay of the land. Close to the grocery store--just across the park--, and an easy walk to all the squares and the river. A city like Savannah is great to explore by foot and this townhouse is close to all of it. We did enjoy the pedicabs in the evening. The rooms are spacious, the location is great, and you have everything you could possibly need. Close to the interstate & the airport, it is conveinent no matter which way you travel to Savannah. There is a great notebook with helpful hints from previous renters. You can tell this home is loved by the owners & visitors alike! Getting answers to our questions was a quick email away before arrival & just a phone call once we were there. Terrific place! Thank you so much. It exceeded our expectations & was really pefect for our group.

What a beautiful home!! All the comforts plus. A very quiet neighborhood. Three sisters and two daughters came to Savannah to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday and we were not disappointed. We saw everything and did everything we could in the week we were there. We had wonderful food and the people were very friendly and helpful. If you are a walker you'll get your miles...if you have a car everything is within two minutes. The best dinner was at the Old Pink House...five star. The best lunch we had was at Cafe 37...WOW. Breakfast at Clary's was great. We would stay again at this property without hesitation.

My family and I rented this house for 5 days recently, and absolutely loved it. The pictures really don't do it justice. It was EXTREMELY well-maintained, it was in a great location (near Forsyth park) and it was well-appointed with nice furnishings/linens/dishes/etc. The owner could not have been nicer, and the entire rental went as smoothly as one could have possibly asked. We've all decided we want to return, and definitely plan on staying again at this home!

My friends and I were pleasently surprised with the beautiful accomodations when we arrived. The location was great, not a far walk to the river. Each morning we sat out on the patio and talked. We even enjoyed dinner in one evening. I have recommeded this home to many friends and will definately stay here again.

It was a pleasure to stay here! The house was beautiful and offered every comfort and accommodation imaginable. Even beach chairs for our day trip to Tybee Island! Located steps from the park, it was a great location!! Parking was easy and it was a short walk to river street. The house was clean and immaculate and very comfortable. We loved the kitchen and having our morning coffee and a glass of evening wine in the courtyard. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants to experience a beautiful getaway in Savannah!!

We just spent five days at this beautiful townhome. The interior is more beautiful than described, the furnishings are primarily antiques (or close). Great internet service. Nice TV (also in two bedrooms). The entire place was very clean and well-maintained. The courtyard is beautiful. We were met by the property manager who gave us the keys and left us alone. We had no problems and will definitely stay here again. Our Yorkie loved the place also.

We stayed in this home last August. We had 5 adults and 2 children. There are 3 bedroom & 2 full baths upstairs, with a living room, dining room, 1/2 bath, and full kitchen with laundry below. The courtyard and deck were new and it was a pleasure to spend time outside. You are steps away from Forsyth Park and will not reguire a car to get around town if you like walking. They supply maps for restuarants and stores which are numerous and wonderful. On the opposite side of the park there is a full size grocery store for you home cooked meals and a liquor store. Everything in the house is clean and well stocked from spices to laundry detergent. Be sure to take advantage to visit all the town squares and the cemetary. We paid for a tour of Savannah to obtain all the details that only a local can provide. Paula Deen's restaurant was wonderful but you must prearrange reservations early in the morning. I will come back to Savannah again and you will enjoy all dealings with the owners of this property.
