The COWBOY CABIN sits in the heart of the mountains, just 5 miles south of downtown Jackson, and 3 miles back in the foothills.
For the outdoor adventurer wanting to be as close as possible to the mountains, while enjoying the creature comforts of home, the Cowboy Cabin is the perfect western getaway! Cowboy Cabin is a charming log cabin nestled in the foothills, in a neighborhood which has national forest trails nearby for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
It's approx. 30 minutes to the south entrance of Grand Teton National Park and an hour or so to the South Entrance of Yellowstone. Cowboy Cabin is located in the Game Creek area, just 5 miles south of downtown Jackson Hole then 3 miles back in the foothills, 3.5 miles from the Snake River (the South Park bridge put in is nearby for flyfishing, canoeing, rafting, etc). Frequent visitors to the property include moose, elk, deer, fox, coyotes, and an occasional bear. There is a nearby ranch where horseback riding lessons can be taken.
The Cowboy Cabin is styled out as a "Western" retreat and getaway.
The Cowboy Cabin has 3 bedrooms, two luxuriously outfitted with a queen sized bed and a private bathroom (one has a double bed). A fully equipped kitchen & dining room will take care of all your gourmet needs. An outdoor BBQ grill and the wrap around decks help you to enjoy every moment possible outdoors. If you'd like two air mattresses for kids or extra guests, that can be arranged.
The main floor is entered through the front door, up a few steps, onto the wrap around porch. Large windows bring the mountain views indoors. The living room & dining room are immediate as you enter through the front door. The Master bedroom (queen bed) and it's own private bathroom are in the back of the house. Down a short hallway is a the main floor guest suite with a queen sized bed, and an upper loft. The main floor bathroom is there as well. Then off the dining room is large, well equipped kitchen. From the kitchen is a staircase to the lower level. A washer & dryer, another guest room and bathroom, and a family room complete the home. There are two gas fireplaces, one in the living room, one in the family room on the lower level. The garage is locked and not available for use. There is plenty of room for parking outside.
All payments via checks from US Banks, when reservation is confirmed. If you must pay by credit card, credit card fees of approx. $150 will be applied. Refundable $500 security/cleaning deposit within 30 days of check-out.

NO PETS & NO SMOKING or immediate eviction & security deposit will be forfeited. Basic cleaning included. If the home is left in poor shape, any cleaning after 8 hours will be deducted from your security deposit.

Year Purchased: 2004
Rick & Debbie fell in love with the privacy and quiet of this log cabin. We bought it to get out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy relaxing in the mountains. We wanted to spend as much time as we can sharing the outdoors with our kids & grandkids.
Why the Owner Chose Jackson
We bought this cabin as we wanted to be able to horseback ride or hike right onto the national forest. We're just 15 min. to downtown Jackson for shopping, restaurants, and nightlife, yet fully surrounded by national forest lands and wildlife.
