You work hard but you want to play hard. Our villa is perfect because it offers the best of all worlds. Luxury linens, comfortable private home décor with amenities like local art, maid service, all kitchen gadgets, etc. Each room is a master suite with access to deck.
We have never found a place quite like Hope Town. The village is quaint with winding paths by picket fenced pastel homes. Locals are blonde haired blue eyed descendants of British colonists. The lighthouse is one of the last handwound in the world. The beaches are plentiful and pristine with snorkeling right off the beach to outstanding live reefs and lots of sealife. The best part is the boating. In 10 minutes you can be at another island for sightseeing, lunch, etc. It is a safe inland sea full of little islands, some uninhabited--yours for the day! Others with fun restaurants and beach bars. We will help you with boats/golf carts, scuba trips, fishing guides, groceries, etc. Come and see it for yourself.
Perfect for family reunions or meeting friends in their boats as 12-slip marina adjacent. This island is crime-free and relaxed but with six restaurants, four fish markets, three bakeries, sailing club, scuba boat, ice cream shop, liquor stores, clinic, three waterfront bars as well as restaurant lounges some with entertainment, games, karaoke. Enjoy the gourmet coffee shop, museum, library, gift shops, protected underwater parks, playground, etc. It truly is stepping back in time to a relaxed, simpler lifestyle... Swinging in a hammock under the coconut trees, catching lots of fish, snorkeling with turtles, dolphins, rays. It looks and feels like a tropical Norman Rockwell painting. Truly a best kept secret--once pirates hid here now who's who in entertainment world, CEOs, pro athletes, etc. Leave your briefcase and bring your flip flops. Truly relax and we really have thought of everything so you will enjoy this fabulous island lost in time... Smell the coconut pie on the window sill? Here the gullys call and the dolphins splash. You will love it here and come back again and again.
Abaco is not just a place but a state of mind. Guests tell us it reminds them of the Florida Keys 20 years ago and Abaconians did settle in the keys in the 1920s, so architecturally there are similarities. Our five-mile island is lined with powder sand beaches. The folks are friendly, the weather good, the history is all around you from pirate caves to candy-stripped lighthouses. Come visit us and you will see just how clear our water is... You can watch the fish biting your bait in 60-foot of water. The village life allows your children the freedom to run through the pedestrian only lanes and get an ice cream cone or penny candy. There are local festivals, fairs, sports and visitors are always welcome. Bring a group down and we can help you find more homes nearby. You will live like a local, buying local fare and cooking in your own home. Reconnect with your spouse and children.
This is one destination that is fun for all ages. The best part is we are only one hour from Florida and 25 minutes by air from Nassau or Freeport. We can also arrange extended stays (sometimes mom comes with the children and dad flies back and forth as work allows) or we can help make the most memorable island wedding or landmark birthday--did someone say 50? Corporate retreats--we won't tell you went fishing instead of crunching those numbers and as always, the islands are romantic and perfect for honeymoons! |
