This is a clean place and a good location. You'll find exactly what you see on the photos. So, the place is nice and clean but... I hope you'll be more fortunate than I was.

Owner response: Dear Vivane, I am really sorry if the issue that you are referring to is that the laundry machine broke. These things happen and the only thing that you can do when they ocurr is to have the resources to fix it quickly. That was what I did. Thanks to the maintenance service contract that I have, and because the extra rate I paid, the problem was solved in just 1 labor day. In addition, a partial refund of the rent was made to compensate for the inconvenience you might have by not having the machine in working order. Besides, I want to clarify that the security deposit was refunded although the problem with the machine could have caused due to misuse. I just think that we could not do more for you. At the end I am glad that you and your family found a nice, clean and well located place to stay, as you said in your review. Regards, Lola B.

Apt very nice and clean but if you have kids don't think about it. There is a tenat who doesn't like kids and made my vacation a living nightmare!

Owner response: Dear Alexandra, I am really sorry about the problem you might have with the other tenant. I have had other families as tenants before, but this is the first time I have received complaints. I tried to make to understand to the other tenant that kids are kids, and sometimes are uncontrollable. Just after you, new guests came into the studio for a 10 days stay with a 3 year old baby, and no problem at all. Hopefully this is the first and the last time I receive this kind of comments about this matter. We stayed at the studio for 12 days and I actually dont know where to start from! Everything was perfect! Its exactly how they show in the pictures. Lola was great! Very responsible and took care of us throughout our stay. The studio is very roomy and its perfect for 2 - 3 people! It was super clean and up to date. Lola provided us with all the basic things we needed for our stay - kitchenette, laundry detergent, linens, salt, oil, windex .. you name it. The location was amazing, quiet, secured and only a couple of blocks away from ocean drive and the beach! She even got us parking passes for our car rental and warned us about the traffic in Miami on memorial day weekend. She also gave us good suggestions about things to do in Miami. .. A full mirror in the apartment would help a lot in getting ready, but thats just me and I like my mirrors.. Our stay was a BLAST and we would definitely come back if we ever plan on visiting Miami again and would recommend this place to everyone! To have an amazing vacation you need to have the perfect place to stay and this studio was perfect. My husband and I would like to thank Lola for everything she did for us... She is an amazing person and it was really nice meeting her.. we wish her well!

My husband & I stayed at Lola's studio for three nights. It was in a great location (much quieter than Ocean Drive or Collins Avenue but still close to everything), was very clean, and was exactly as described. We really appreciated the beach towels and the snacks that Lola provided. We would definitely stay again. Lola did forget that we needed a parking permit but remedied the issue very quickly (the parking permit system on Miami Beach seems a little inconvenient) so everything worked out well and we had no problem with parking. Just a couple things to note -- washcloths and a couple of extra bath towels would have been appreciated, as would a short guide to the area (restaurants, etc. . . .) Also, a few of the restaurants (including China Grill & Nemo) listed in the apartment's description are closed.

This is a good studio that is located near the beach and near all the main streets in South Beach. The apartment is very clean and it has all the functioning appliances. It is renovated and everything looks new. This apartment is also located on a quite block and it is pleasant to sleep there. I stayed there with my wife for 4 nights and it was a really great experience! The owner was very helpful and responding, and returned the security deposit on the same day we check out. I would defiantly rent this place again!

Excellent place to stay within a quiet neighborhood

I originally booked only for 2 nights but my wife and I loved the place (room, location, neighborhood) so much that we had to extend 1 more night. The owner was very accommodating. She has a hired help to clean up afterwards and maintain the room very neatly. The place was about two blocks from Ocean drive and the beach is defintely just nearby. No views of the ocean but we liked it that way. Parking is a hit and miss on the streets but I found a garage for overnight parking a few blocks in the neighborhood. We're able to walk to the restaurants and other places by day or by night. We would stay there again!

Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We simply loved our stay in SoBe. The condo is charming, the studio was perfect for us (we were travelling with two kids) and the location was the best (a very quiet residencial area near, I mean walking distance, of everything that matters: Ocean Drive, the best part of Collins, South Pointe, Publix grocery store, Lincoln Mall, Espanola Way, playgrounds, restaurants and the beach, of course). Lola, the owner, was fantastic (very professional and always responding our questions very quickly). We definitely recommend this cozy studio in The Fountain. Hope to come back soon.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This apartment is fantastic. It has everything we needed for a long weekend in Miami. It's just three blocks from the sand and a short walk to great food and fun. The apartment itself is super charming and is exactly as pictured. It's actually quite large for a studio and it accommodated two people very comfortably. In addition, the owners, Lola and her husband, were a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough good things about this apartment.

Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was my first HomeAway experience. Everything went very smoothly and the property is adorable. The short walk to the beach made it even more enjoyable. Very recommended.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Miami. The condo is clean and comfortable. It is located is a quiet neighborhood but close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. Owner is very good with all communication. The parking pass was a real bonus.

Great Location--Nice Studio!

My wife and I stayed in this studio for 4 nights in March and had a great time. The studio is spacious, clean, has new appliances, and a comfortable bed. The best part is the location--it's on a quiet block, but close to everything and a short walk to the beach. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Lola, the studio's owner, is great to work with and went out of her way to accomodate us. She had to deal with a few bumps along the way with the scheduling our trip and she was patient and did a great job communicating with us. She really went out of her way to make our trip possible and even left a thoughtful welcome basket in the fridge for us.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Great Place to Stay in South Beach!

The condo was exactly as presented by the pictures. We really enjoyed staying there on a long weekend trip. Great location, away from the noise - yet close enough to feel a part of all of the action. Everything was super clean & the building was in a nice location. We felt really safe & comfortable while we were there. We would have preferred the shower to have a curtain or door since water splashed out easily, but it was ok for our time there. A full length mirror would be nice. That being said, we would definitely stay there again & would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel alternative!

My husband and I stayed in this condo for our honeymoon in November. It was excellent! The condo was very clean, the location was great...just two blocks away from Washington Drive. And most importantly...there was parking! It is very large for a studio condo, and we didn't feel cramped at all. Lola was excellent to work with. Very responsive to e-mails and gave us tons of suggestions of things to do in the area. My only complaint is the noise. It seemed like the walls were a little thin, and we could hear people in the condos next to us. Overall, it was a great stay. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay in this condo again.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Lola, You have a fabulous apt.. and we appreciated that it was so clean... My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in April/2010 for 12 nights. Your apt's location is perfect and it has a lot of character. Nice and quiet too yet close to all great restaurants and to Ocean Drive.. We have nothing but great things to say about your place. We just had a girls trip to Miami, 4 of us, and we had such a great stay here. The condo is very modern, clean, and very comfortable. It's also only a few blocks away from the beach and many restaurants. The only downside, was that there was construction going on so one of the mornings you could hear them working, but we were mostly out and about so it wasn't that big a deal, however would have been nice to know about that. My only suggestion would be maybe to add a full length mirror (hard for 4 girls to get ready at once :) ) and maybe some extra beach towels, since it does accomodate 4 people. Other than that, Lola was professional in dealing with and very responsive to all our questions. I would definitely stay there again if I were coming back to Miami. Thanks for everything!!!!

I did not know that it was going on yet. Sorry again! I will definitely take in consideration your comments about extra beach towels and the full length mirror. I used to live on South Beach and this apartment is wonderful. It's perfectly located: 2-3 blocks from the beach, Big Pink, Privé, Shoji and Nemo, Prime 112, Nikki Beach...but so quiet! The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well designed. Lola, the owner, is professional, and responsive to her guests' needs. It's a great choice for a fun but quiet getaway to South Beach!

The apartement was beautiful because the furnishing is lovely and it is very clean. The House is near the ocean drive and not far from the beach. By day and by night it is an quietly area. We would make our holiday there again. It was very very nice!

I cannot express the good choice we made renting this apartment. It is well located; only a couple of blocks away from the beach and walking distance to all kind of stores, including restaurants, discos, drugstores, etc. It is also very comfortable and very well settled. Anything for your normal living you may need, you will find in it. Every detail has been taken care of. The renter showed also as responsible and serious people, and in addition, very kind. I highly recommend it. Definitely we will return if we have the chance.

This was my second time staying at Lola's place and it was just perfect again! The unit was very clean and had everything that we could have needed (extra towels, beach towels, laundry). I would recommend this to anyone who wants to be close to the beach and restaurants, excellent location. I will stay there anytime I am in South Beach!!! Lola is also so nice and accomidating and adds that personal touch that no other condos/hotels can offer.

Comment Text: We highly recommend this rental. My boyfriend and I were down for a week in Miami with our friends.. while our friends spent $400/night at Loew's, we rented from Lola for less than half that price... The place is sitauated in a quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. It made us feel like one of the locals. Beyond that the place was more comfortable, centrally located, peaceful and furnished with everything we needed... Lola was so professional to deal with and she was so sweet to provide a welcoming basket.

The Fountain is the perfect location to spend a vacation on South Beach. Just a few blocks' walk to all the action, yet tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. Lola's unit was so quiet, we never heard a peep from any of our neighbors. The unit was spotless with all new furnishings and appliances. Lola provided all the conveniences of home so we didn't need to bring things like silverware or an iron. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Miami. Thanks Lola!

This place was very clean and had really nice, up-to-date furniture. There was plenty of room to sleep, and a nice-sized kitchen and bathroom. Lola provided us with towels, DVD player and DVD and even a few snacks. I definitly recommend this place!!

My friend and I stayed at a studio condo and were very impressed with everything. The unit was spotless, was very ultra modern and had everything you could possibly think of. Lola who dealt with us was also so sweet and accomidating. A++++++++++ service and excellent price. I would strongly recommend. I have travelled a lot and found this place a gem.
