I have stayed in Oahu a couple of times in condo's and they do not come close to the Kihei Resort in Maui. The price was very reasonable, and the condo in itself was very nice and clean. Everything in the condo was in great working condition. We were there 8 beautiful nights, and never needed to talk with Wendy about anything. The managers of the resort was very friendly, and helpful. One day we needed to go to the Kihei library, and could not find it. The manager offered to drive there with us following her, but my son had a gps in his phone, and I told her we could find it with the gps, but thanked her for all her help. The grounds, pool, and BBQ were fantastic. I am certain we will rent this Resort again, and I hope the dates we pick are still open for this same condo. The only thing I hope that might change is a flat screen tv on the wall. One more suggestion: Safeway store is only about 2 miles from the condo, and we found that the food there was almost as cheap as Costco. I am not saying do not shop at Costco, but unless you can eat food in bulk, it is cheaper to shop at Safeway. We had to leave or give away a lot of food.

I can not tell you anything about the condo because we have not arrived yet. We will be there next week, I felt it was necessary to let anyone thinking of booking with wendi know she has gone way beyond our expectations as a person who rents vacation properties.... With what we have been told is at the condo we can probably go with just a carry on.. lol.lol. Although she has already been paid she still answers my sometimes rhidiculous emails on whats there and whats not in a speedy reply. We are sure looking forward to no phone calls and no one knocking on the door... lol. steve in Boise

GREAT CONDO AND FANTASTIC VALUE

We stayed at Kihei Resort with our family and another couple that rented a condo there as well. What a lovely complex, nice and tropical and very quite. The locaiton was nice, close to everything, and we are walkers so we walked Sugar Beach almost every morning ,and went across the street to the beach park at sunset and used the picknick tables and bbqs. The condo itself was very nice, much larger than several we have stayed at in the past. It was very clean and well equipped, everything thing we needed and beach gear as well. We really liked overlooking the pool and spa, which we used frequently. We will definately try to book this condo again.

We just got back from our trip to Maui and wanted to say a great big thank you to Wendi & Sue... we had a great time! Wendi was wonderful-she answered all my emails and questions very promptly and was really helpful. I really appreciated this as I've been involved in the hotel/motel industry (family owned businesses) for quite a number of years and this type of service is what brings people back). This is the first time that I've rented a condo online and want to say that I was a bit sceptical that the condo looked as good in actuality as it did on the website. I was really impressed-it was really clean and spacious-we had 5 adults in our party and we had lots of room and were very comfortable. It was great to have a kitchen so that we could have breakfasts in and the BBQ's were a nice added bonus. The grounds were beautiful and really well manicured, the pool was also very neat and clean. (It was nice to be woken up in the mornings by birds singing instead of an alarm clock) The property was very quiet so had nice peaceful evenings and got caught up on our sleep! Everyone there was really friendly and helpful. Just as we were packing, the zipper on my suitcase blew out, so we had to go and get a new one. We were a bit late getting back for our check-out, but Sue and the lady that does the cleaning were really great. Thank you for all your help! We were close to everything (20 min to airport, 25 min to Lahaina, 15 min to shopping etc) We went whale watching, took the drive to Hana (that was an adventure-be sure to stop and inspect all the sights enroute-wow!) caught a few spectacular sunsets from the park & beach across the street. We found a really great Mexican restaurant (great service and really good food). The only disappointment was that the outing for the zipline was cancelled due to high winds (40 mph) but that just gives us an excuse to come back again! We would certainly book this condo again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family! Once again, a great big thank you to Wendi & Sue-hope that we get to see you again the next time we come.

Paradise Found

I spent a week with my fiance and another couple in the Kihei Resort condo. The location, condo, and owner's were wonderful. Great location across from beach for whale watching! Condo was warm and comfortable with all the comforts of home supplied. We had a problem with a water heater and the owner installed a new one when we were there. I look forward to returning. Very well located for sight seeing and enjoying the beach.

Condo with Aloha

What a sweet deal. My girlfriends and I just needed a quick getaway from CA and was this the deal of the century. Everything from start to finish was perfect. The condo was so clean it looked new and everything you could possibly think of was there, all you needed was a bikini. Its located within walking distance of the beach and right accross the street from a great little Indian restaurant BYOB! It was all so easy from arrival to departure, definately a home away from home

Just got back after a group from Alaska used the condo last. Met owner right away because last renters stole the keys, WiFi and Left drains clogged after dying their hair. Owner fixed everything immediately. Condo was in good condition, Clean and yes a couple of carpet stains (nothing tragic) from spilled coffee. Phone was fine and free. Vacuum worked great and all appliances were in working order. Condo is not "brand new" but certainly functional at this price point. Wendi was SO accomidating and easy to deal with. All issues we had from prior renter were delt with quickly and properly. The cleaner was also friendly and easy to deal with. This was my first condo rental and I was extremely pleased with the owners and the property. The pool was closed for maintenance, but Wendi MADE accomodations that were more than suitable. I Can't imagine any one having an unpleasant stay here so I was suprised to read the other negative review. I would not pay attention to it and go for this property. Bottom line was they made it effortless to deal with and were very responsive to our needs.

The owner let us down

Upon check in and within the first day or two, my husband and I noted numerous items that were out of line with the unit we paid for, both large and small. The owner responded after a few days with the missing items, but the stains, dirtiness, and broken or malfunctioning items, and those in poor condition meant this unit was misrepresented by the pictures on this website and overpriced. Also, I was never able to vacuum the unit well due its shutting down after 5 minutes of usage. It was worked on, but after it was returned, it continued to shut off. The owner must not have checked it out. Furthermore, other additional follow up was lacking: the telephone remained non-functioning for our entire three-week stay, and the promise of a house-cleaner to rectify dirtiness of the unit was not kept. I felt a reduction in the rental price would be a satisfactory resolution, and I tried to reason with the owner, but I was told there was no problem and accused of harassment. On the positive side, the pool and hot tub are very well-maintained,

Owner response:I am sorry that these guests found the need to submit this review. When they were here, we took care of everything that we were made aware of. Small items like a stain on a dishtowel. The vaccum was replaced and the guest simply placed the phone cord back in the wrong jack after they used the internet, even though there is a wireless internet. As owners, we responded to the guests and corrected the minor items they needed, the guests were smiling and happy when we left. We are very responsible condo owners, and try to be very responsive to our guests, so this review I feel is out of place. The main goal was to get a refund. Should they have made us aware of anything else while they were here, we would have gladly helped to esure their comfort. We find it highly suspect that we did not, we did not hear anything else from them until two weeks after check-out when they are asking for a refund.

We loved this condo. It was perfect for a family of 4. Was a little crowded for 5 though. Everything was comfortable. We loved all the toys that Mike provided:snorkel gear, volleyball, and it was right across the street from the park and beach. Kayak and outrigger rentals right downstairs. We could walk to restaurants and shopping. Best of all was the view from the condo. We loved sitting on the balcony and watch the sun come up in the east over the mountains and set over the water. Wow, what beautiful pictures from the balcony. The building was older than I imagined, but once we got over that, everything was perfect. Would rent again without hesitation.
