Visit lovely Dauphin Island. The beaches are not crowded. No bright lights here, no fast food places, all are mom and pop type of restaurants. The Ship and Shore grocery/hardware/liquer store will have everything you need. Skinners seafood will have fresh seafood for you to prepare your favorite dish. Try Flamnigo Fayes for breakfast or the Bakery for fabulous coffee and pastries. If you are interested in an evening cocktail try the Oar House. You don't want to miss the Sea lab and gift shop (great gifts) Don't forget to visit the bird sanctuary, (free) paths that lead to private beach area. (Beautiful)

Year Purchased: 2004
Bruce and Doretha Holbert married with 2 teenagers. We own a small business. We live in Powder Springs, Georgia. I am orginally from Kentucky. Bruce and I met in Kentucky. When we are not working, I enjoy painting, gardening and decorating and Bruce enjoys golf, surfing and wakeboarding.
Why the Owner Chose Dauphin Island
We bought the cottage in 2004. My husband was vacationing there with his parents. He fell in love with the place. We love the laid back atmosphere of Dauphin Island. It is like going to the country with a beach. The local fulltime islanders are very nice and we have made some good friends.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Our cottage is in a very good location. I short walk to the beach. We can fish from the dock. We walk to the bay, and enjoy wonderful sunsets from the crows nest. We like hanging out under the house on a hot day and relaxing and hanging out with friends.
