I am Brent Kerger from Tallahassee, Florida. I am a research scientist for my regular job, but my wife and I invested in rental properties in Florida plus this one in the mountains of South Carolina. We manage and maintain all of our properties personally, and have been doing this successfully for about 15 years in total.
Why the Owner Chose Table Rock
We bought a lot and built this rental property at The Rock at Jocassee because we fell in love with the beautiful area and the fantastic access to waterfalls, lakes, state parks, mountain vistas and wildlife that our family has enjoyed every year. Scenic Highway 11 has more than a dozen state parks including Table Rock State Park which is just a few miles east of our property. Great sites to visit in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee are within an hour's drive. This is really a great location for natural family fun at a very low cost.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We built the house with families in mind. The upstairs has the master bedroom and bath, plus a kitchen, great room and sun room with treetop views in back and foothill/mountain vistas off the front covered porch. There is lots of seating upstairs for feeding a large group and just relaxing in the peaceful mountain environment. The downstairs has three more bedrooms and a game room for the kids, plus a nice deck and BBQ grill out the back door. This is one of only two homes that were built so far in a quiet subdivision off the golf course development. The clubhouse is a mile away and has golf pro shop, restaurant/bar, swimming pool, tennis, and other amenities.

The home was clean and comfortable, the owners are very accomadating. The details of the property are right on. Our family of 8 and stayed in the fall of 2011 and cant say enough about the area at that time of year, absolutely beautiful, returning to the home after "waterfall hunting" made it all the more enjoyable. We hope to return now that we know of a great place to stay.

Met with my cousins for our annual hiking trip and we had a great time. The listing was accurate and the owners very accommodating. The kitchen was clean and fully stocked with quality pots and pans. Very private lot sitting high on a hill. It is located close to several state parks with so many hikes, we will likely rent this house again next year!

I cannot say enough about our stay and our experience! This property was absolutely breathtaking, the photos do not do it the justice it deserves. We had a wonderful experience from the inquiry, to the booking, to the stay and post check out. Brent and Brenda were absolutely amazing to work with and we cannot wait to stay again. This property has so much to offer and it certainly kept our children entertained. It was in a pristine location for us to view amazing sites close by and our drive to GA was about 30 minutes. It was perfect. Everything was provided for us and it was so clean! There is plenty of room to beable to visit comfortably while still having privacy too. Our entire trip was exactly what our family needed and we were so sad to leave. We will definitely be back!

The pictures don't do this home justice. It's a lovely place to stay! Could have used a few more cooking pans, and the grill didn't work, but other than that we were very comfortable. The home is very clean and in a scenic spot. If we need to stay in this area again we will be trying to use this home!

We had a great week at Christmas with our extended family. The house is in a wonderful spot; quiet and secluded without any close neighbors. Convenient location to get to all that Upstate SC and the mountains of NC.

The house was wonderful-- clean, spacious, and comfortable. The leaves were still beautiful in mid-November, and the big windows brought the outdoors in. My husband and I came up with my parents, our two kids, and a few of their friends to hike Table Rock for my daughter's 11th birthday. It was wonderful being able to come back to the house after the hike, make dinner, and relax. The lay-out is great for families with kids, too-- the kids loved hanging out downstairs and playing air hockey and foosball, while the adults were able to have some peace upstairs. The kids found the waterfall and "cave" in the woods up the road, too, and had so much fun playing there, imagining they were the first to discover them! Thanks so much-- we really enjoyed our weekend! We will recommend the house to others, and we will be back!

The house is great. A super location for hiking, antique shopping, access to many area Falls and gorgeous scenery. The children enjoyed the Game Rm while the adults enjoyed the many offered amenities. I would strongly reccommend this rental to anyone who enjoys life activities or just plain chilling out. The aesthetic value is priceless and the rental is more than reasonnable. If you want fun,rest,pleasant setting and access to anything great around Table Rock,this is THE PLACE. The location is all that it is put out to be on the web site. My family enjoyed it alot and look forward to come back again. It was a great get away and had everything you would need available to use. The kids love the games system and the beds slept great, even the couch. Very clean home and not hard to find. Perfect for big or small family rentals.
