Our family stayed at this condo for 7 days, it is located just a few minutes from Old Town Lahaina and we could NOT have been more pleased. There is just enough room for the three of us. Our 8 yr old loved it too. Everything you need was provided, the view was just amazing, the location the best. Jan and Art, thank you so very much for the wonderful condo, you certainly had, if not more than what was described. We plan on staying here again on our next visit to Maui!!!

My (2) girlfriends and one teenager and myself spent a week in Paradise at Art and Jan's 2 bedroom condo. The whole property is so much nicer than staying at the "big box" hotels on the island. We loved the privacy of their end unit with windows on the sides and the lanai is so relaxing. Hardly no one in the pool when we used it. The location is what really sells this unit just minutes from Front Street in downtown Lahaina. We definitely would stay there again. Thank you, Jan. You made our vacation a memorable one for years to come!

Great Location and Great Place

We spent 11 nights in January at this wonderful condo. The listing is very accurate and the photos are very accurate. The location of this property is great and the views can not be beat. The property is very well taken care of and the onsite care takers are very friendly and helpful. The pool area is very clean and relaxing. Several good restaurants are within walking distance including Aloha Plate and Old Lahaina Luau. Safeway is also just a few blocks away. There is no air conditioning but it was not an issue. We watched whales and turtles daily and the best sunsets in the world are right in front of you every day. We would highly recommend this property and Jan was great to deal with and gave lots of tips on places to go and things to do. This was our first experience using VRBO, and it will not be the last. We hope to visit the great location again.

Condo was very nice. Jan and Art provided all the information for activities, places to eat, and things to see. We enjoyed watching the Whales and Sea Turtles from the Condo each morning.

Excellent vacation refuge!

Just back from 10 days here and the condo was wonderful! Very clean, up-to-date amenities, comfortable beds, nice furniture and the best view from the lanai - whales in the channel and turtles feeding in the reef just off the shore. Due to unusual weather issues (rain, wind, high surf, the tsunami) we spent more time in the lovely pool than we did in the ocean - while it was disappointing that we did not get as much snorkeling time in as we hoped, at least we were able to spend a lot of time lounging poolside! We did a lot of our own cooking and the kitchen was well-equipped, needing only a bit of stocking (we recommend the Thursday Farmer's Market for fruits and veggies and the Whole Foods near the airport in Kahului for meat and fish, as well as the fish market in Honokowai). The condo location is very good, too, a short walk to to a very good restaurant (Mala) and a longer walk in to Lahaina town proper. It's actually very nice being just outside the noise and crowds of Lahaina. If we go back to West Maui, we would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Ocean View

We stayed 2 weeks at this beautiful condo overlooking the ocean. We found Lahaina was nice and centrally located to many of the islands activities and beaches. The location of this condo was excellent because it was close enough to downtown Front Street entertainment, restaurants and shopping, yet far enough away. We dined oceanside on the lanai and also enjoyed coffee to many beautiful sunrises and wine to many beautiful sunsets. We really enjoyed watching the whales and turtles. The description of this unit describes it perfectly. The unit is very clean and was perfect for our family of 4. The amenities in this condo are of high quality as advertised, even the linens were exceptional. The dishwasher made for quick and easy clean up. The owners have ensured the kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need to create a meal, nice dishes, nice cutlery, containers available for packing picnic lunches, there was even a rice cooker.( couldn't believe it since I cannot make rice without one!) The unit has no air conditioning but with the ceiling fans, shades and ocean breeze flowing through it was okay. The building itself is older, however it is very well maintained, the caretaker is out there washing down the pool area every morning and the grounds are manicured daily. The barbeque area is also very clean. Jan was very friendly and honest on the telephone and prompt at answering any e-mails we had sent. She also has a very effecient system for payment, access and parking information. I also liked their restaurant reviews and activity suggestions. We enjoyed many area restaurants, however for a family with teenagers, we really liked Lahaina Pizza company on Front Street, great deep dish pizza! Also Old Lahaina Luau down the street from the condo is a must, great experience. I would definitley stay again and recommend this unit.

Amazing view

This is a very nice condo. It is set up quite well for a small group. Everything you need for a Hawaiian get-away The surf is right below you, almost feels like it's under you. Great sunsets over Lanai from the lanai. Living area and kitchen overlook the ocean. Owners are very helpful and nice folks. Downtown Lahaina is a nice wandering walk away, passing a buddhist temple, a beautiful beach and a short boardwalk.If you want a west maui experience without the hustle-bustle of a busy resort area, check this place out!

A truly magnificent unit

We absolutely loved this quiet little complex. While not the newest place in Lahania, or at the sandy beach of Kaanapali, it was a great location, nicely updated unit, and breathtaking views. You are literally less than 20 yards from teh ocean, looking directly as the most beautiful sunsets in teh evening, watching sea turtles feeding just 15 - 30 yards off shore every day, sailboats moored in teh distance, palm trees almost within reach of teh lanai - it exceeded every expectation. There's no air condisitioning, but the strong afternoon and evening breeze, along with the window shades and ceiling fans in almost every room keep the temperatures tolerable for sleeping. The pool is small and basic compared to the newer resorts up the road, but the complex has only 40 units or so. Plenty of chase lounges for everyone. We never saw more than 5 or six people maximum at the pool at any given time. We will, without question, make this our first choice for future Maui trips. Walking distance to downtown Lahaina, Safeway, Longs Drug, our new favorite casual restaurant - Aloha Mixed Plate - and a short drive to several wonderful beaches. If you like big resorts, this is not your place, but if you want to feel like you're living on the island, it can't get much better than this. We toured one new resort. Beautiful, but their "ocean front" deluxe unit was about 300 yards in from teh ocean - that's about 280 yards further inland than we were on our lanai. The owners were a pleasure to deal with from the beginning and shared very useful and insightful local knowledge for best beaches, best restauarants and best things to do. This was our first time venturing into the condo rental option and were completely satisfied with the whole experience. We had our 2 young adult sons with us and found it very comfortable and spacious for 4 people. Only 1 bath, but that wasn't as much of an issue as I expected.

Great Place, Great Location, Great View!

We stayed from 8 August to 12 August 2010; one of the best condos we have ever stayed in. Everything worked out great for a family of 4 with two teenagers. Location is ideal; can walk to grocery store and to the town of Lahaina, and central location to go north or south. The condo was well equipped, everything we needed - and the VIEW was incredible...should be called sunsets galore! Will not hesitate to stay right here again, next trip to Maui.

Enjoyable stay

We stayed in this condo at the end of June-July 2010. Upon arrival, the cleaning staff was still there bc they thought we were arriving the next day (mix up with the cleaning staff). After an 11 hour ordeal in getting to Maui, we were tired and ready to get settled. Fortunately, my family & I are flexible travelers so it wasn't a big deal. We were able to go have lunch and return to a clean condo. Jan was readily available via phone and the issues were resolved. The condo is beautiful and we would recommend others to stay here. The only downfall is that there is no air conditioning. It was quite warm and though the ocean breezes were nice, it was still quite hot (mostly in the bedrooms bc they are furthest away from the patio). However, we did go in the middle of the summer, so we knew the weather would be warm. We did not spend a tremendous amount of time in the condo though. If you enjoy the warm ocean breeze and fans, then this is definitely the place to stay, If you need cool air with air conditioning, then this is not the place to stay. It is clean, beautifully decorated with a gorgeous view of Lanai, and great owners who obviously take good care of this place. The property manager is also very helpful and keeps a good watch on things. It was nice to have a 2 bedroom condo since we were traveling with a child, but this place would also be great for couples, a friends' getaway, etc.

The condo was everything that was described and more. It was beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable and relaxed. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai each day watching the sea turtles. When the tide goes out, I went out and waded in the water and saw lots of fascinating things. The condo is located within walking distance of so many things. This was the perfect place and we will stay again.

Jan and Art- Thank you for a great first time to Maui. Your condo was everything that you advertised. The updates that you have made to the condo make it a home away from home. I can not think of one thing a family would need that was left out. The turtles and whales that we viewed from the pool and balcony were amazing. We walked to Lahaina and ate and shoppped several times and it was very nice to be able to walk and not to have to worry about parking. We stayed in Jan's and Art's condo from Dec 29th to Jan 26th 2009. We have been to Hawaii 3 times, however first time Maui, and always seek out owner condos for the place to stay. This was one of the best condo units and places we have ever stayed at. It was clean, very well funished and up dated. The location was excellent-a balance between private sun bathing around the pool, always against the ocean wether in the condo or at the pool to view beautiful sunsets, the whales and just the power of the ocean. It is also on the edge of Lahania therefore quiet (exception New years eve when the locals carry on a very good fireworks display), but within walking distance of groceries, other emenities, the Lahania town centre and many restaurants. To summarize, we had a very positive experience in Maui, enhanced significantly by arriving to a place that was everything it advertised itself to be on the VRBO website. This was a great condo, beautifully decorated and remodeled! We also loved the location - very centrally located! The weather was sunny & perfect! We enjoyed snorkeling in Napili, Kaleakala, Luau at the Hyatt, and swimming and riding the waves. The weather was sunny and perfect and we loved watching the sea turtles from our balcony. The manager took good care of us and it was great falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Mahalo!

This Condo is AMAZING! It was very modern, yet very cozy too. We felt so comfortable and at home in it. The view from the balcony was to die for. We ate all of our meals on the balcony while we watched lots of turtles below us. Everything about this condo was wonderful. I can't say enough about how wonderful this condo was. It was a very good experience working with the owners of this condo too. They were very nice and helpful. Trust me you won't be sorry if you choose to stay here.

The condo was great! We had a wonderful time. It was a great place to stay with the kids. The swimming pool was refreshing after spending a day at the beach. We had such a fantastic time we don't want to leave! We saw turtles every morning and lots of whales went by today. At sunset a lovely man blows his conch shell and my 8 year old daughter loved it so much that we bought her one and tonight she joined in! Our children (8 & 5) enjoyed Baby Beach, the Reef Dancer and even a hike in Iao Valley - also, Maui Ocean Center is spectacular. Mahalo!

This condo was a beautiful place to stay and the oceanfront view was amazing day after day. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here being 4 adults. We are all nurses, just wanting to get away from the stressful work and busy city. This condo definately met our requirements and more. Perfect location on Front St. and beaches just a couple minutes away at Kanaapali. We all had such an amazing time that we want to come back as travel nurses!! P.S. Our family has thoroughly enjoyed a week in your condo. You did a great job with the remodel. We love everything - comfortable beds, nice linens, fantastic view (the turtles! We are "in-love" wityh your condo! It is everything that we were hoping for--and more!! Everything was in perfect order when we arrived. Your kitchen has more to offer than mine does at home. The view out the balcony has to be the best on the Island. We toured many of the large resorts while we were here, and each time came back VERY HAPPY that we were in "our" condo. This place was so pretty. The furniture was cute, modern and up-to-date. We have learned that it is rare to have a beach right outside our window. This condo was affordable and we appreciated the free DSL. We would come back here without a doubt. WE LOVED IT!
