Hale Alealea Beach House, TVNC #1006, is located in the lush green countryside of Kauai's North Shore. Awaken to the peaceful sounds of the country- the birds, the wind, the surf. The house is situated along an unpaved lane in a rural neighborhood made up of unique, well manicured homes. Enormous plumeria trees grace the entrance to the house, and a garden full of flowering tropicals and banana trees border the entire property. Plenty of lawn area surrounds the house as well, perfect for a game of badmitton or croquet. This bright and airy three bedroom house offers two bedrooms with their own private bathrooms, making it a perfect choice for larger families, or a vacation shared by friends. The kitchen is spacious and allows several cooks to collaborate on a meal. The upper level lanai has a gas grill, and provides plenty of room for entertaining or relaxing. It catches the trade breezes very nicely. Branch framed views of the ocean, swaying palms or fragrant plumeria grace every room, and the Shama Thrush and geckos serenade every evening.
Directly across the road you will find beautiful Kepuhi beach. Look to the left and see the kite boarders setting up. You will love watching their colorful kites and daring, acrobatics in the surf. To the right, find a calm lagoon with spectacular snorkeling and shelling. Just a few more steps will find you at the Hanalei Colony Resort for morning coffee, or the terrific Mediterranean Gourmet Restaurant for a sunset cocktail or weekly hula show. A short drive or bike ride will take you to Tunnels Beach, Ke'e Beach, and the famous Na Pali Coastline trailhead. This Haena beach home is the perfect place for your family & friends to create lasting island life memories.
Features of Hale Alealea: Three Bedrooms including guest room with twin beds. Spacious office with desk, sleeper sofa and internet access. Large outdoor Jacuzzi. Spacious living area for relaxing and entertaining. Expansive lanai with gas grill for seamless indoor-outdoor dining and lounging.
Haena is one of Kauai's true tropical treasures. Down the beach is Tunnels where the reefs are home to a variety of tropical fish and green sea turtles. There is seasonal whale watching from shore and great surfing. At Hale Alealea you are a short distance from Ke'e beach and the epic Napali Coast.
You are 10-minutes from historic Hanalei Village where you will find great restaurants and unique boutiques for shopping. You can make plans for any Kauai adventure in Hanalei. Why the Owner Chose Haena
We love the remote, rural beauty of the North Shore. The beaches in front of our home are so quiet and stunning, and we have easy access to Tunnels Beach for the world class surf. The scenery along the winding road out to Haena is breath taking.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Checking the surf each morning with a cup of coffee in hand, followed by a walk around the garden is a great start to a day. There at the house it is so calm and private- yet you feel the rest of island calling with its adventures, whenever you are ready to go!
Owner's Map of Haena
Our family has enjoyed living in Haena for the past five years. We spend the summers in California catching up with family and friends before the Hanalei school year starts up again. Obligations on the mainland keep us away this year and so our house is available for you to enjoy!

Our stay at Hale Alealea this summer was so great. The house was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed cooking and relaxing there in the evenings. Gorgeous beaches were a five minute stroll, so you could easily go back for lunch as opposed to packing a picnic. Sunsets were not to be missed. Hanelei was 10 minutes away for restaurants, shopping etc. We love the north shore as it's so laid back, but for those looking for activities beyond beach activities and hiking; golf, horsebackriding, tennis, miniture golf and helicopter rides are a 15 minute ride away. Arriving back at the house and entering the beautiful garden after a full day of fun in the sun makes you feel very spoilt.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.
