We were a group of 8 brothers and sisters, all over 50, who rented two condos. Chris was good to work with--he was very organized and made it easy to get the reservations set up. His information about the hotel and policies were very helpful. The Wyndham people were also very accommodating. We had two units right across from each other. The hotel supplies a lot of items like coffee, dishwasher and laundry soaps etc. You just call whenever you need items or clean towels and they were very prompt. Someone always called to make sure you received the items you requested. We had no problems with any kind of noise or anyone bothering us about timeshares. The location is nice, with many stores and restaurants close by. Access to the beach was a little difficult, but we just walked to Ft DeRussy Park--easier than trying to find public beach access between the hotels. This area is very busy--lots of people all the time. Not unpleasant, but if you are looking for a quieter area--this is not it. We have stayed at the other end of Waikiki near the zoo and Kapiolani Park. It is quieter there, but not as many restaurants and stores either. We used the Ft DeRussy parking lot. We bought passes at the main Hale Koa parking garage. The cost was $16 per day, and it was reasonably convenient. I was a little concerned about the safety at the lot, but we had no problems at all. Since we had 2 rental cars, it did save quite a bit of money. We needed cars because we wanted to tour the island, but if you plan to stay in the general Waikiki area, it is possible to get along without a car. We found a Safeway not too far from the condos, which was convenient since we planned to eat most of our meals in the condos. The units are nicely stocked with dishes, pans and cooking utensils. The only problem we encountered at all was with our entry cards. I mentioned it to the front desk that it was not convenient to keep coming to the desk to get our cards reprogrammed. Fortunately there were enough of us that we were always able to get in when we needed to. These units are really no more expensive than a standard hotel, and it is so nice to have the living room/dining area and kitchen to spread out. A great value!!

We are a family of 4 adults & stayed in 2bed/2bath on 8th floor overlooking pool. This is the quieter side & Lanais are slightly larger than the other side. You do face the carpark but this is not too distracting. All the room amenties are good, full cooking facilities, washer&drier, sep shower in Master bathroom, shower over bath in 2nd bathroom.Beds are comfortable King in Master,2x Queens in 2 bedroom.Safe deposit in closet. We requested to see rooms on a higher level & were offered a 9th floor on street side.Stayed in 8th floor room for 5 days then changed to 9th floor for balance of our stay to experience it.Personally we all felt the 8th floor on the pool side was better. The lanais on 9th floor street side are smaller. The 10th floor Lanais are bigger,& unfortunatley we could hear the movements of the outdoor chairs in our bedrooms at night. The only advantage the 9th floor room had was a spa in the master ensuite.Initial arrival is a little confusing as the lobby is located above the carpark and main st & you have to use elevators to check-in,this could be difficult if you have a few bags & children, would recommend initially a person goes to front desk & requests a trolley for assistance. We requested hospitality suite on our last day for final showers etc.as our flight didn't leave until 11pm.They allow 15mins per person & calculate the room on this time,it is a fully equiped 1 bedroom suite so is very good if there is a group of you.The front desk was very accomodating & we actually had the room for longer than a hour as there were no other waiting guests. The resort did contact us 3times to attend timeshare seminar, they were persistent, but we made our intentions clear politely & eventually they stopped. We had an unfortunate incident happen when staying in the 9th floor room,we returned 1 evening to find the room above on 10th floor had an overflowing washing machine and it had flooded our bathroom. One of the front desk staff was very helpful, but her counterpart unfortunatley had a little bit of a bad attitude whereby she didn't seem to take it quite so seriously. We did get it sorted with the help from Maintenance men who were excellent.Location is great close to beach, shops, eateries.Buses & trolley's. Overall we highly recommend.Chris was very professional and responded quickly when booking & paperwork.Thank you Chris. We also used Hawaii23 Transport from Airport- Mark is extremely helpful & very reasonable rates 4 adults & suitcases $29.Great vacation:-)

Aloha! First off I would like to THANK Chris for allowing us to stay at this wonderful condo/hotel. This place was much more then me and my family have ever expected! =) The location of this hotel was right in the center of Waikiki… beach down the block, International marketplace is about a 10-20 min walk with restaurants surrounding you! It did take us awhile to find the condo due to it being on a street with tons of stores & restaurants and it having a small sign and wasn’t noticeable when driving down Lewers Street… We passed it a few time until I called the hotel and they direct us. Valet parking is $30 a night and is on a different street/walk way but has access from the lobby using the escalators. Upon arrival we check in which was quick and easy and very friendly & helpful staff. We stayed in room 705 which was on the 7th floor right next to the elevators & we didn’t hear any "heavy feet" walking or "loud" voices while others where waiting for the elevators. I was traveling with my family (6 adults and 1 child) which accommodated us well. We had the view of the swimming pool and yes, the room was facing the parking garage but if you look pass it you see the BEAUTIFUL view of diamond head from the master bedroom and second bedroom!!!! =) The master bathroom was spacious with Jacuzzi tube and walk in shower, but the hallway bathroom was very small and narrow. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator & stove with attach washer and dryer which was very useful. The living room/dining room condo was big enough however the sofa sleeper wasn’t all that comfortable! They have a game center next to the front desk with pool table, ping pong table and a room equip with Wii and other gaming consoles and gym. Also in the corner across from the front desk they have a movie rental box where you can rent movies and watch back in your condo/room. They also have activity desk where they help and arrange actives like swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, parasailing etc. They also have a restaurant/sports bar downstairs and if you eat there you get a 10% discount from your order all you have to do is show them your room key. Based on the other reviews, I had prepared myself to say no to "numerous time share calls" but they never bothered us once, via phone or in person. I’m soooo happy that I found this place with and can’t wait till we return and re-book with Chris again! Mahalo, Marissa

That's what my 8-year-old said after a few days of staying in this condo. It was wonderful--clean, comfortable and convenient to the beach (just a block away to Waikiki). We rented a car and parked in the Fort DeRussy lot for $16 a night self park (vs. $30 valet at the hotel) and it was fine. Be sure to go to the Hale Koa hotel to get your pass before you park in the lot; we took the ticket and parked, then asked the next day and had to pay $36 for the previous day...oops. Based on the other reviews, I had steeled myself to say no to numerous time share calls but they never bothered us once, via phone or in person. The kids had a great time playing pool/ping pong or swimming in the pool and the hotel offered shave ice everyday (free on weekends) as well as crafts for the kids, and a movie night in the pool. All in all, it was a terrific vacation and Chris was great to deal with, prompt in answering questions and clear with all communication. Thank you! We will use your company again.

We had such a great time and this place is centrally located and close to the beach. All the staff were friendly, the place was clean, the facility well looked after and the condo was clean. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. This place exceeded my expectations. Thanks Chris, you are true to your words on your property that you rent. I appreciate it. We were 5 ladies celebrating my 50th for 11 nights at the Wyndham in a 2 bedroom apartment. We had read all the reviews before booking, so we knew what to ask for. We couldn’t fault this resort. Yes, it can be noisy at night but we closed the doors and put the air con on. We had requested a higher floor knowing this. When we arrived we were allocated level two but Charles on reception shuffled some bookings and got us on the 7th floor. The apartment was on the Lewers St side offering a nice outlook. We really felt like we were in Hawaii. It was just a short walk through Don Ho Street to the Sheraton then through to the beach each day. Coffee from ‘Peets’ at the Sheraton was great. The apartment was well appointed with full cooking facilities, two bathrooms (en-suite was huge with a corner spa bath), King Bed in the main, 2 double beds in the 2nd bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. A hair dryer was supplied in both bathrooms. The shower water pressure in both showers is great for water saving but not so great if you have a good mop of hair to wash. There was a laundry cupboard with a large washing machine and dryer. TV’s in both bedrooms and the living room with cable channels. A safe was provided in the main bedroom. The air con was a bit noisy in the living room. There was a small balcony off each bedroom and the living room. One thing to know is that Americans don’t have kettles for making tea. No problem really, we just boiled the water in a pot on the stove. There was a drip coffee maker in the kitchen but we opted for the coffee shop downstairs. All the staff were very pleasant. The pool was not large but perfect as an escape from the beach with sun lounges and umbrellas. The internet was free. The signal at times was weak and after being on for a while it disconnected I guess to stop people doing huge downloads. Decent sized beach towels were supplied and if you needed new ones they were available at the pool. Bathroom towels were a little on the small and thin side from what were used to. The trolley car to Ala Moana Shopping Centre was across the road and down a little running every ½ hour. Cost was $2 per trip. An ABC convenience store was across the road. In summary…we all can’t wait to get back to Hawaii and Wyndham Waikiki Beachwalk.

My yougest daughter was granduating from U of H, so it was a family affair/reunion. Coming from Washington, Missouri, South Dakota and Minnesota. We all had a great time and the condo was very much appreiciated. Walking distance to everything or "The Bus". We all learned how to use the bus. The staff was great. The pool was there but the ocean won! If we return again, I will get a condo from Chris. But on arrival I will insist on a higher floor. We were on the 2nd and the bar that plays music till 4am (YES- 4am) was below us. The master bedroom was the worse but we survived and we all had a GREAT TIME. Mahalo Chris. Connie B.

Everything was as promised. Unit was very nice. However, it needs some minor repairs. I would like to have seen more evidence of attention to detailed maintenance (baseboard was missing, steam clean carpets and upholstery more often, etc.). Housekeeping was helpful & responsive. Front desk was accommodating. Be sure to ask for a room on the highest floor with a street view. Location was great. very close to beach & all the shopping and dining one could want. We took 3 flights from Oahu to other islands and airport was conveniently located but traffic gets heavy so leave early. The annoying part at the timeshare was the sales staff. They try to lure you into their trap with a "welcome packet" and a free breakfast. Avoid it. It's a sales meeting where they use high pressure tactics to get you to buy a timeshare. We declined but they kept after us by calling our room a couple times & trying to catch us as we left the building. Even being firm with them didn't help. Our saving grace was that our husbands weren't with us so we wouldn't have been able to purchase anything. The other issue is the price for parking. My suggestion is to budget for parking at the timeshare's garage. If you can't afford it, don't get a car. We needed a car 'cause we wanted to do our own sightseeing around Oahu. We parked at Ft Derussy, a block away, as suggested by other reviewers, but it was just as expensive as hotel parking unless you are in the armed services. Alternatively, you can get a parking pass for Derussy that's less expensive by walking a couple blocks further away to a public parking garage, however, you have to park in the Derussy lot, walk to the other garage. If your hours don't match the parking garage's hours, & you need to use your car, you are out of luck & you'll pay the full parking fee - about $36.00 per day. That was our dilemma on two occasions because our travel to other islands meant that we turned in our car and re rented again on another day. If any of that makes sense, it was expensive and a hassle. Thus, I've decided that if you can't afford parking at the condo, you can't afford to go to Hawaii.
