This is an amazing property. 4 adults in a 2 bedroom property, lots of space, fabulous location, couldn't have asked for anything more. This was the first time using VRBO, a very positive experience. Owner was very helpful as well as the staff at Wyndham. Also had a fully equipped kitchen.

At first, I was worried about conducting all communications on-line for the reservation of this room, however, I was not disappointed. The reservation transaction and description of the resort was beyond what I expected! The 2BR room was a dream for a family of five. We brought our three children ages 10, 7, and 5 with us, and had the best experience ever! The room was on the second floor and was so conveniently located, that we couldn't have dreamed of a better room and resort location. The room was clean, fully stocked with clean dishes, towels, etc. The only thing I couldn't understand is why any resort would build a pool with a starting depth of 5 ft! Note that there is also no restaurant in the resort since it is literally in the middle of Waikiki's hottest walking strip with restaurants and shopping galore. My sister lives on the island and was amazed at how large our room was. Her boyfriend, who works at the nearby Taormina Restaurant was also equally shocked. If we ever return to visit (which we will), we will certainly choose going this route again. Great service from beginning to end. Thank you for providing us with a great stay!

We were a group of 8 brothers and sisters, all over 50, who rented two condos. Chris was good to work with--he was very organized and made it easy to get the reservations set up. His information about the hotel and policies were very helpful. The Wyndham people were also very accommodating. We had two units right across from each other. The hotel supplies a lot of items like coffee, dishwasher and laundry soaps etc. You just call whenever you need items or clean towels and they were very prompt. Someone always called to make sure you received the items you requested. We had no problems with any kind of noise or anyone bothering us about timeshares. The location is nice, with many stores and restaurants close by. Access to the beach was a little difficult, but we just walked to Ft DeRussy Park--easier than trying to find public beach access between the hotels. This area is very busy--lots of people all the time. Not unpleasant, but if you are looking for a quieter area--this is not it. We have stayed at the other end of Waikiki near the zoo and Kapiolani Park. It is quieter there, but not as many restaurants and stores either. We used the Ft DeRussy parking lot. We bought passes at the main Hale Koa parking garage. The cost was $16 per day, and it was reasonably convenient. I was a little concerned about the safety at the lot, but we had no problems at all. Since we had 2 rental cars, it did save quite a bit of money. We needed cars because we wanted to tour the island, but if you plan to stay in the general Waikiki area, it is possible to get along without a car. We found a Safeway not too far from the condos, which was convenient since we planned to eat most of our meals in the condos. The units are nicely stocked with dishes, pans and cooking utensils. The only problem we encountered at all was with our entry cards. I mentioned it to the front desk that it was not convenient to keep coming to the desk to get our cards reprogrammed. Fortunately there were enough of us that we were always able to get in when we needed to. These units are really no more expensive than a standard hotel, and it is so nice to have the living room/dining area and kitchen to spread out. A great value!!

Aloha! First off I would like to THANK Chris for allowing us to stay at this wonderful condo/hotel. This place was much more then me and my family have ever expected! =) The location of this hotel was right in the center of Waikiki… beach down the block, International marketplace is about a 10-20 min walk with restaurants surrounding you! It did take us awhile to find the condo due to it being on a street with tons of stores & restaurants and it having a small sign and wasn’t noticeable when driving down Lewers Street… We passed it a few time until I called the hotel and they direct us. Valet parking is $30 a night and is on a different street/walk way but has access from the lobby using the escalators. Upon arrival we check in which was quick and easy and very friendly & helpful staff. We stayed in room 705 which was on the 7th floor right next to the elevators & we didn’t hear any "heavy feet" walking or "loud" voices while others where waiting for the elevators. I was traveling with my family (6 adults and 1 child) which accommodated us well. We had the view of the swimming pool and yes, the room was facing the parking garage but if you look pass it you see the BEAUTIFUL view of diamond head from the master bedroom and second bedroom!!!! =) The master bathroom was spacious with Jacuzzi tube and walk in shower, but the hallway bathroom was very small and narrow. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator & stove with attach washer and dryer which was very useful. The living room/dining room condo was big enough however the sofa sleeper wasn’t all that comfortable! They have a game center next to the front desk with pool table, ping pong table and a room equip with Wii and other gaming consoles and gym. Also in the corner across from the front desk they have a movie rental box where you can rent movies and watch back in your condo/room. They also have activity desk where they help and arrange actives like swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, parasailing etc. They also have a restaurant/sports bar downstairs and if you eat there you get a 10% discount from your order all you have to do is show them your room key. Based on the other reviews, I had prepared myself to say no to "numerous time share calls" but they never bothered us once, via phone or in person. I’m soooo happy that I found this place with and can’t wait till we return and re-book with Chris again! Mahalo, Marissa

That's what my 8-year-old said after a few days of staying in this condo. It was wonderful--clean, comfortable and convenient to the beach (just a block away to Waikiki). We rented a car and parked in the Fort DeRussy lot for $16 a night self park (vs. $30 valet at the hotel) and it was fine. Be sure to go to the Hale Koa hotel to get your pass before you park in the lot; we took the ticket and parked, then asked the next day and had to pay $36 for the previous day...oops. Based on the other reviews, I had steeled myself to say no to numerous time share calls but they never bothered us once, via phone or in person. The kids had a great time playing pool/ping pong or swimming in the pool and the hotel offered shave ice everyday (free on weekends) as well as crafts for the kids, and a movie night in the pool. All in all, it was a terrific vacation and Chris was great to deal with, prompt in answering questions and clear with all communication. Thank you! We will use your company again.

We are a family of 4 adults & stayed in 2bed/2bath on 8th floor overlooking pool. This is the quieter side & Lanais are slightly larger than the other side. You do face the carpark but this is not too distracting. All the room amenties are good, full cooking facilities, washer&drier, sep shower in Master bathroom, shower over bath in 2nd bathroom.Beds are comfortable King in Master,2x Queens in 2 bedroom.Safe deposit in closet. We requested to see rooms on a higher level & were offered a 9th floor on street side.Stayed in 8th floor room for 5 days then changed to 9th floor for balance of our stay to experience it.Personally we all felt the 8th floor on the pool side was better. The lanais on 9th floor street side are smaller. The 10th floor Lanais are bigger,& unfortunatley we could hear the movements of the outdoor chairs in our bedrooms at night. The only advantage the 9th floor room had was a spa in the master ensuite.Initial arrival is a little confusing as the lobby is located above the carpark and main st & you have to use elevators to check-in,this could be difficult if you have a few bags & children, would recommend initially a person goes to front desk & requests a trolley for assistance. We requested hospitality suite on our last day for final showers etc.as our flight didn't leave until 11pm.They allow 15mins per person & calculate the room on this time,it is a fully equiped 1 bedroom suite so is very good if there is a group of you.The front desk was very accomodating & we actually had the room for longer than a hour as there were no other waiting guests. The resort did contact us 3times to attend timeshare seminar, they were persistent, but we made our intentions clear politely & eventually they stopped. We had an unfortunate incident happen when staying in the 9th floor room,we returned 1 evening to find the room above on 10th floor had an overflowing washing machine and it had flooded our bathroom. One of the front desk staff was very helpful, but her counterpart unfortunatley had a little bit of a bad attitude whereby she didn't seem to take it quite so seriously. We did get it sorted with the help from Maintenance men who were excellent.Location is great close to beach, shops, eateries.Buses & trolley's. Overall we highly recommend.Chris was very professional and responded quickly when booking & paperwork.Thank you Chris. We also used Hawaii23 Transport from Airport- Mark is extremely helpful & very reasonable rates 4 adults & suitcases $29.Great vacation:-)

We were 5 ladies celebrating my 50th for 11 nights at the Wyndham in a 2 bedroom apartment. We had read all the reviews before booking, so we knew what to ask for. We couldn’t fault this resort. Yes, it can be noisy at night but we closed the doors and put the air con on. We had requested a higher floor knowing this. When we arrived we were allocated level two but Charles on reception shuffled some bookings and got us on the 7th floor. The apartment was on the Lewers St side offering a nice outlook. We really felt like we were in Hawaii. It was just a short walk through Don Ho Street to the Sheraton then through to the beach each day. Coffee from ‘Peets’ at the Sheraton was great. The apartment was well appointed with full cooking facilities, two bathrooms (en-suite was huge with a corner spa bath), King Bed in the main, 2 double beds in the 2nd bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. A hair dryer was supplied in both bathrooms. The shower water pressure in both showers is great for water saving but not so great if you have a good mop of hair to wash. There was a laundry cupboard with a large washing machine and dryer. TV’s in both bedrooms and the living room with cable channels. A safe was provided in the main bedroom. The air con was a bit noisy in the living room. There was a small balcony off each bedroom and the living room. One thing to know is that Americans don’t have kettles for making tea. No problem really, we just boiled the water in a pot on the stove. There was a drip coffee maker in the kitchen but we opted for the coffee shop downstairs. All the staff were very pleasant. The pool was not large but perfect as an escape from the beach with sun lounges and umbrellas. The internet was free. The signal at times was weak and after being on for a while it disconnected I guess to stop people doing huge downloads. Decent sized beach towels were supplied and if you needed new ones they were available at the pool. Bathroom towels were a little on the small and thin side from what were used to. The trolley car to Ala Moana Shopping Centre was across the road and down a little running every ½ hour. Cost was $2 per trip. An ABC convenience store was across the road. In summary…we all can’t wait to get back to Hawaii and Wyndham Waikiki Beachwalk.

Everything was as promised. Unit was very nice. However, it needs some minor repairs. I would like to have seen more evidence of attention to detailed maintenance (baseboard was missing, steam clean carpets and upholstery more often, etc.). Housekeeping was helpful & responsive. Front desk was accommodating. Be sure to ask for a room on the highest floor with a street view. Location was great. very close to beach & all the shopping and dining one could want. We took 3 flights from Oahu to other islands and airport was conveniently located but traffic gets heavy so leave early. The annoying part at the timeshare was the sales staff. They try to lure you into their trap with a "welcome packet" and a free breakfast. Avoid it. It's a sales meeting where they use high pressure tactics to get you to buy a timeshare. We declined but they kept after us by calling our room a couple times & trying to catch us as we left the building. Even being firm with them didn't help. Our saving grace was that our husbands weren't with us so we wouldn't have been able to purchase anything. The other issue is the price for parking. My suggestion is to budget for parking at the timeshare's garage. If you can't afford it, don't get a car. We needed a car 'cause we wanted to do our own sightseeing around Oahu. We parked at Ft Derussy, a block away, as suggested by other reviewers, but it was just as expensive as hotel parking unless you are in the armed services. Alternatively, you can get a parking pass for Derussy that's less expensive by walking a couple blocks further away to a public parking garage, however, you have to park in the Derussy lot, walk to the other garage. If your hours don't match the parking garage's hours, & you need to use your car, you are out of luck & you'll pay the full parking fee - about $36.00 per day. That was our dilemma on two occasions because our travel to other islands meant that we turned in our car and re rented again on another day. If any of that makes sense, it was expensive and a hassle. Thus, I've decided that if you can't afford parking at the condo, you can't afford to go to Hawaii.

My yougest daughter was granduating from U of H, so it was a family affair/reunion. Coming from Washington, Missouri, South Dakota and Minnesota. We all had a great time and the condo was very much appreiciated. Walking distance to everything or "The Bus". We all learned how to use the bus. The staff was great. The pool was there but the ocean won! If we return again, I will get a condo from Chris. But on arrival I will insist on a higher floor. We were on the 2nd and the bar that plays music till 4am (YES- 4am) was below us. The master bedroom was the worse but we survived and we all had a GREAT TIME. Mahalo Chris. Connie B.

Our 2 bedroom condo was exactly as described in the listing, very clean, a great location, beach, shopping and restaurants. We watched the NHL playoffs at Giovanni Pastrami's and had a wonderful time there. We had a full house with eight people and we all enjoyed our stay very much. Chris was great to deal with as was all of the staff. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family. Negatives are: Checkout time is 10:00am and I wish we would have been told about the complimentary suite as the eldest of our group was 72 and could have used a quiet place to rest as our flight did not leave until 8:30pm. I'm not sure why we kept being asked to attend a time share meeting, I did not expect that.

April 2011 - My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham at Waikiki. Here's why: * Chris - wonderful to deal with - price was the most competitive - completing the reservation transaction was non-stressful, quick and easy - loved that he got us a unit on an upper floor * Wyndham Waikiki - ideal location - one short Hawai'i block (means not far at all) from the beach - we had two 17 yr old girls with us and felt safe with them venturing out shopping on their own - restaurants and shopping area literally right outside the door - 2 bdrm unit was very spacious and clean - staff was very accommodating and friendly - washer/dryer in unit - trolleys and bus right outside the door

We just returned from Hawaii this week. Staying at the Waikiki Beachwalk. It was fabulous. I have three teenage boys and this was a great place for a family to call home for 10 days. Close to everything most important to us was the beach and it was right around the corner There was entertainment around the pool area. Hawaiian dancing and cuisine, fresh leis given to all guests that came out to enjoy. A games area for the kids, movies by the pool, planned and guided morning powerwalks. The room was exactly as pictured. We rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. Plenty of room, beds were comfortable. Front desk staff were always helpful. Room was clean and nicely equipped. Nothing negative for us to speak about! Thanks Chris for for making the arrangements. We will definitely return.

We rented the 2 bedroom from Chris in March. The rooms was very nice. The location is great for the beach, shops, restaurants etc. It is right in the middle of Waikiki so it is easy to walk to most destinations. We found our room on the 2nd floor to be noisy from the garbage trucks etc that start around 6 am. However we made the choice to stay in the room even though Chris immediately answered our concerns and made another suite available to us. Another plus is having a room to use after check out. Our plane did not leave until late in the evening and we spent our last day on the beach and made use of the complimentary suite to get cleaned up. I would highly recommend booking through Chris and will definetely go back.

This was our second trip to Hawaii and with two adult children in tow it was necessary to have a 2BR/2B unit. The quality was excellent, very large and superbly located. I had read other reviews saying it was noisy from night clubs. Never heard a thing, unlike the previous place we had stayed in Kuhio St, very noisy. You could not want for a better location and you have to try the pasta / pizza from Givanni Pastrami's downstairs. Lots of beers, lots of sport on TV ( 17 TVs) and great food. The unit itself was very large and well appointed. Overlooked the pool, two small but useful balconies. Fabulous kitchen and TVs in every room. No negatives.

I travelled to Honolulu from Feb 5 to Feb 12, 2011 with 7 other family members. We had never booked trough VRBO so were a little hesitant but Chris (the owner) was very prompt with all his answers and provided us with answers to all our questions. We rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on Lewers Ave just a short distance from Waikiki beach. The Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk. Everything in the condo was exactly as described in all the ads and the place was exactly as shown in the pictures. We were up on the 9th floor with a beautiful view. The condo was beautiful with everything that we needed for our stay including coffee, tea, shampoo, laundry detergent, beach towels etc. Because we did not stay for more than 7 days, we did not have housekeepers come in and change our bedding or towels everyday but we could call them for fresh bedding or towels whenever we wanted. They supplied us with what we needed immediately. There is a washer and dryer in the suite which was great and we decided to wash our own towels, etc every day rather than bother the housekeeping staff. The ONLY complaint I would have about this condo is that the dryer does not work very well....took a couple of hours to dry a load of towels. Awesome service from everyone....from the main desk to housekeeping and everyone between! Everyone was very friendly and helpful! The location is perfect for anyone wanting to see the sights in and around Waikiki. We were near everything we needed. Beach was approximately a 2 minute walk, there were many, many restaurants within walking distance and we were near all the best shopping, including the International Market Place. For the tours we booked, we were picked up within a block from our condo. I read quite a few reviews on Trip Advisor before I went so was a little concerned with timeshare people bothering us...but we did not have even 1 person approach us about that! Couldn't have asked for a better condo or location. We were very happy with everything and would recommend this place to anyone. We are definitely going back!!

I have no hesitation in recommending Chris and the Wyndham Waikiki. My family of 5 have recently enjoyed 9 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. The property is very clean and well maintained and the staff extremely obliging. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment roomy. The Wyndham is well positioned in Waikiki with only a 5 min walk to the beach amd the main shopping precinct and restaurants on the doorstep. It was great to be self contained and have kitchen and laundry facilities within our apartment. Self catering breakfasts made for a more leisurely start to each day. The apartments are very well equiped with plenty of towels and everything you need in the kitchen. The pool, gym and organised activities also added to our families overall experience Chris was extremely professional and unlike many other operators in that he responded promptly to my many enquires prior to our stay. We will certainly be back and will not hesitate to contact Chris and request an apartment at the Wyndham

I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Waikiki that wants easy access to the beach, shopping, sightseeing - and who has young kids. The location of the property is so convienent. Chris's information was very accurate and we had a great view of the Beach Walk. The size of the unit was perfect, clean and the staff was very helpful. My girls loved the crafts and the activity desk helped us schedule some great events. We were busy on adventures everyday and walked the beach every evening. Shopping for essentials or gifts for family was easy. If traveling with young kids - I would recommend using the grocery shopping service - very reasonable and great to get in your unit and have food already there. For activities - the aquarium and zoo are wonderful. They have a fantastic Children's Discovery Museum. The Dole Plantation is a must. Enjoy! You will love this place.

Just wanted to say thanks. We had a great time at the Wyndham. Check in and check out were a breeze and the staff at the resort were very helpful with our needs as we were travelling with an infant. The unit was great for our family – very spacious and had everything we needed – they even provided us with a highchair and a pack and play at no extra charge. The lanai's are very small, but it was easy enough to just leave the door open to make the living area feel like outside space. We had a room on the street side and it was not at all noisy and it was quite nice to view some of the nightly entertainment from our suite. The pool at the Wyndham was lovely – my only comment would be that it is very deep, so it can be awkward to “play” when the shallow end is 5ft. All in all we had a great vacation and this was in large part due to the great accommodations you set us up in.

I chose this place after hours of searching through reviews of many hotels and vacation rentals for our party of 4. My 81 year old mother and my two sisters enjoyed 9 nights at this centrally located hotel. Not on the beach but only about 4 min. walk down the street. All the new shops and restaurants of Lewers street right outside your door. If you want quiet hawaii, waikiki may not be the place for you.. if you want beach, shopping, night life, activites, this is the one. We had one housekeeping day during our stay but didn't even use it. We were able to change towels mid week with just a call and everything from dish washing detergent to washing machine detergent is there for you. All dishes, towels ect.. just like a personal apartment. With the Aloha festival going on, they even lent me a new wheel chair for use to take my mom out to enjoy the street fair. Rent this place, but if it's your first time in Hawaii, take a tour to the other side of the island to see the natural beauty as well. Parking is 25 dollars but for the convenience of the valet, well worth it if you are traveling with older people. We booked a paddle canoe on the beach with Keki the activities director.. Check out the men of Hawaii 2010 calendar and get a sneak peak at your guide :-) Everyone at the hotel was accommodating, friendly and helpful... Truly and nice rental and we would book again for sure! Thanks Chris~~

Myself and three friends stayed at the Wyndham at Waikiki Beachwalk for two weeks in September. We had rented a two bedroom, two bathroom condo from Chris. Everything went very smooth when we contacted Chris, we can not thank him enough. The condo itself was fantastic, everything that you could possibly need was right there. The washer and dryer came in very handy. The three flat screen tv's were an added bonus. The location of the condo was great, easy walking distance to everything, beach, shopping and restaurants. You have so many restaurants to choose from, We especially liked the Cheesecake Factory, Giovanni's and Moose McGillycuddy's. We loved the pool and hot tub area, very relaxing. The staff at Wyndham, very friendly and very helpful. We would all recommend this property to anyone who is thinking of travelling to Waikiki, Hawaii. We hope to return to Hawaii in the not to distant future, and will definitely stay at the Wyndham at Waikiki Beachwalk. Aloha!!

First of all this was the first time I ever rented a timeshare ,, I was very reluctant to hand over money to someone that I had no idea who or what I was doing.. Chris thank you..you were such a great help and it all went so very smooth, especially in such a short time.. He set me up with the greatest place we could of asked for,, the place was big enough for 6 of us, (one baby) to fit very comfortably in..It had everything I could of asked for and more,, the view was beautiful at night, we stayed on the street side, had no trouble with noise.. ,, the ti ki torches were lit all along the street and it was just beautiful in the evening,, . Very lovely place at a great price!! Centrally located to the beach and all the shopping, within walking distance ,, or buses were available a block down,, easy to get around.. Thank you it was more than we expected!! you will love it here!! I hope to return some day to paradise!! Thanks again!! Jan

This was my second trip to Hawaii and was looking for a larger apartment as my daughter her husband and 17th month old twins were with my husband and I. From the time I made the booking with Chris everything flowed extremely well. We were delighted with the apartment when we arrived and the facilities which were included. We weren't on the street side and faced the car park but otherwise the apartment was great. Whilst the parking is expensive it is so convenient. The attnedants are all great guys.We go to the beach every day and find Waikiki too busy so we drive down Kalakau to Sans Souci, so much quieter and easy to park, maybe I should keep that secret! It's only a five minute drive, you can also walk there, just past the aquarium. The restaurants around the Wyndham are fantastic, so much too choose from. We also did a big 'shop' at Costco and saved a lot by eating in. I can't say enough about the Wyndham, we were there in August 2010 and have just booked two weeks in August 2011. Well done Chris, you have made our plans so easy to manage.! We live in Queensland Australia but just love Hawaii!

We visit the Islands every year but this was the first time we stayed at the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk. We chose this location for two reasons. The first was that both our children (ages 20,21) decided they wanted to come with us so we needed a larger unit, and the second was the location. The Beach Walk area has everything! Great restaurants, beaches, and is in the heart of Waikiki. Our 2 bedroom unit was GREAT! Plenty of room, clean and comfortable. The staff was top notch and we enjoyed our morning chats with the valet who shared his favorite places to eat with us. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay. I don't understand why anyone would stay at a hotel when places like this are so easily available. Our unit was 1200 sq ft with a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms/2 baths. It was perfect.

We stayed in a 7th floor, 2Br, 2Ba unit at the Wyndham, and the unit was very nice and met our expectations. However, we had to be moved from our initial 6th floor unit as it reeked badly of cigarette smoke, but they readily accommodated our request to move units. Parking is very high at $25/day but somewhat typical for Waikiki. Location is great (central Waikiki) unless you want easy access to Waikiki Beach, which the Wyndham is a 3-5 minute walk to. We were pleased with the accommodations, but be sure that you are aware that no services are provided to renters (vs. owners)--no maid service, no 'extras' like nonrequested towel exchanges, newspapers, etc. Chris was accommodating at time of booking, but my last two emails prior to departure re: questions that we had went unanswered (not trying to knock Chris, but just stating a fact). I would stay here again but not worth more than $200/nite. This was my 6th trip to Hawaii and I intend to return many more times......
Owner response:Thanks for your response. Smoking is not allowed in any of units and I reported the situation to management. Towel exchange is provided upon request. There is nothing in Waikiki that compares to the price for this resort, it is the best value for a quality Resort condo in all of Waikiki Beach. I try to respond within 3 hours to all e-mail inquires.

The Wyndham Waikiki exceeded our expectations! And was more than we expected and the location couldn't be better. The listing information of the property was very accurate and thorough. This property was not only clean, well maintained, and centrally located to everything. I would definitely recommend this property and we plan to return again in the future. The unit was equipped with all the necessities and I really liked the fact that we had the washer and dryer. My family and I had a wonderful time and look forward to returning. Working with Chris was great; he was very professional and was very prompt with his responses. As far as negatives I can’t think of one.

The owner provided prompt, courteous, and excellent customer service. Chris answered every question and responded promptly. I would definately recommend this property to friends and family and we plan to return again in the future. The unit we stayed in was on a lower floor, which is what I was hoping for, and all of the resort staff were very helpful and friendly. The unit was equiped with all the necessities and I really liked the fact that we had the washer and dryer. Since we were visiting our son, who is in the military, it was especially nice to be able to cook for him. My family and I had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

We chose to stay at the Wyndham Beach Walk because we really wanted a two bedroom condo for my family. Great location, short walk to beach and in walking distance to all kinds of shops and restaurants. The condo itself was great, the two bedrooms and two baths were very spacious. Having a washer and dryer was a big plus. Working with Chris was great, he was very professional and was very prompt with his responses.

We stayed with our family (7 in total) from Jan.7th to 14th, 2010. Our condo was on the 7th floor. We found it fairly spacious and was clean, needed some paint touch-ups in places. The master bedroom was large with a very nice ensuite. While this condo is in a great location, we were on the Lewers St. side and found the bar across the street very noisy at night. It was very handy to the beach, shops and restaurants though. The balconies(lanais) are very tiny, only have enough room for 1 person to sit and the sun only lasted about 10 minutes on this side. The sofa bed or 'rack' as we called it was very uncomfortable and the beds in the second bedroom were really only big enough to allow one adult to sleep comfortably. We think this place would be better suited to a family of 4 who didn't need the sofa bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had no problem getting extra items like bedding, etc. All in all, a nice and well run property.

Chris is on the inside track as far as Wyndham Timeshare rental is concerned. He knows the Wyndham Waikiki system well, and even KNOWS the front desk people to talk to when a special request is concerned. This condo/timeshare rental referral agency is top-notch, and can work the system to your immediate advantage, and at a very reasonable price. Business is handled immediately by email and completely professionally, even for "Last-Minute" requests. Don't waste your time talking to the Wyndham folks. This is the place for authoritative action and results. The Wyndham Waikiki BeachWalk itself is a very nice condo, clean, and very well attended-to, with excellent beds and pillows. Ask for a higher-level floor to insulate yourself from the street noise below. While not directly on the beach, it is a block away from Waikiki's sparkling blue waters. Parking is best done at a public parking facility (Army Museum/Ft. DeRussy) nearby in the next street west for $16/day, or $8/day if you are retired military with ID. Don't be suckered by the ridiculous $25/day valet parking; just don't use it. Also if dining is something secondary to your adventure, go to Denny's down the street 1/2 block (ask for server "Andy"). It is the only place that gives you french fries (or a side) with your order, and at very good prices compared to the prevailing "confiscatory" rates charged by almost all the other surrounding area restaurants. Also, no charge for drink refills, in contrast to the local "practice." The service from "Andy" is outstanding. Dining should be secondary, as most of the corporate and local joints are very expensive, and a lot less than delightful. While here, you must go to Hanauma Bay (east past Diamond Head) with goggles for the best shallow water snorkeling you will find anywhere. You'll see, CLOSE-UP, tons of colorful, interesting fish and even sea turtles! Also a "must-do" is the Banzai Pipeline beach (not marked, but you WILL see the waves as you drive past it) on the North Shore. Do an immediate U-Turn! Fabulously blue, and white frothy waves pound the shoreline; and free "extreme sports" from daring, surfing, local youth. Don't miss either of these two super locations, or you will lose a valuable vacation highlight! Don't fret about extra days...Chris can take care of you if you need to extend your stay. Positively the best "chance" hook-up for vacation rentals you will ever come across, by accident, on any of the websites out there.

The Wyndham Waikiki was more than we expected and the location couldn't be better. While it was not right on the beach, it was in the middle of the newly renovated Waikiki Beach Walk and was only a very short walk to the beach. We were surronded with all of the coffee shops, stores, restaurants, etc that you could possibly want. The entire area was quite impressive at night with all the streets lined with tiki torches and the hustle & bustle of activity. This was our first time to Hawaii and we had all we could do to see everything in a weeks time. We visited Pearl Harbor and the flea market at Aloa Stadium which you can get to by bus. We rented a car for 2 days to visit Diamond Head, the Punch Bowl Cemetery, the Pali Highway, Hanaunma Bay and the North Shore. There is plenty to see and do. We definetly will go back to waikiki and would stay at the Wyndham again. The room was clean, well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were on the ninth floor overlooking the Beach Walk street and the view was wonderful.

We rented this property through Homeaway.com and had no problems with reservations except we were told it was requested for a 2 bedroom unit between the 6th and 9th floors. We were told at check in that we should not have been told that - specific units were not requestable...you take what you get. Of course we received a unit on the 2nd floor above the night club on the lower floor...it closes at 4:00AM nightly. Also The Yardhouse Nightclub is almost directly across the street...closes about the same time. We only had trouble sleeping on the Saturday night(the night of our arrival)...VERY LOUD. We requested a room change on Sunday and nothing was available, we requested again on Monday and they did have a different room but still on the 2nd floor..we stayed where we were. The units are very nicely redone units, new furnishings, beds were medium soft and in good shape. We were to receive towel and garbage service after 3 or 4 days and did not. We phoned and requested new towels and this was done immediately. Balconys are very small..enough room for 1 chair and 1 small round table. Our units living room was tiny..love seat and 3 person couch in a L shape...could touch the couch and tv by spreading your arms. Other units are configured differently and have larger living area. The unit we were in had a beautiful main bathroom with seperate shower and corner jet tub (3 person??), king size bed, closet, safe, chest of drawers and TV. 2nd bedroom had 2 double beds, dresser, TV and closet. All TV's were flat screen but no Hi-Def programming???? The kitchen was very adequate with everything you need. The washer is a portable sized washer...adequate, the dryer is a portable 110 volt dryer...not adequate. If you are doing laundry expect to take about 2 - 2 1/2 hours to dry a load. Location is great, close to the beach and shopping. International Market Place is a little bit of a hike for 50+ out of shape people like us...although we did walk there 4 times in a week! Denny's is in the next building and there are 2 ABC stores within a block! If you are cooking for yourself get a cab to the Safeway store. It is a little bit of a drive but the closest grocery to walk to is expensive,,,spend a little on the cab! Used the facilities very little...pool and hot tub area is small but usuable. Nice exercise facility but also fairly small.
Owner response:Thanks for your review. Although the resort does not allow specific unit requests they did allow a floor range (such as the 6-9 requested here). They had put a stop to that around the first of the year that I was not aware of until after you had checked in. I hope you will return next year and would be willing to offer you 20% off your return visit for any inconvenience this has caused you. I would like everyone to rate this resort a 5 out of 5 and will do my part to try to make this happen.

My family had a stay at this property in January 09. First off if was a pleasure dealing with the owner, Chris. Very professional and very responsive. We were unable to get continuous dates at the original property we were looking at, the Hiton Hawaiian Village. Chris set us up in the Wyndham for the balance of our trip. While we enjoyed the HHV it was our stay at the Wyndham that was the highlight. The location at the Waikiki Beach Walk offered an abundance of shopping, dining and anything else you want just outside the doorstep. HHV was also nice but it was a bit further down the road from the action. The room itself was roomy enough for our large family (wife and 4 kids) and offered all the convenience of home (full kitchen, dishwasher, in-suite laundry). Some had complained about the washer/dryer not being effective, we were on the 3rd floor and had no problems with ours. The condo has everything you could ask for (pool/hot tub/games room/onsite activities/concierge, etc.). Having the valet service for parking was a big saviour. At the HHV sometimes it felt like we had to walk a mile to get to the car. As far as negatives there wasn't too much. Being on the 3rd floor we did notice that the weekend nights did bring a bit of noise from the bars across the street. It was only a couple of nights really and it wasn't too hard to sleep through since we were pretty wiped. The one other thing I can think of that was also previously mentioned was the noise from the a/c unit. If there was a way to turn it off we could not figure it out. If you are going to be in the room at night trying to watch tv it may be a bit of a nuissance sometimes. We didn't find it hard to live with as we weren't watching too much tv anyways. I'm sure the front desk could have helped us turn it down or off.

My wife and I stayed in a 2 bedroom "presidential" condo at the Wyndham with our toddler, and it was beyond our expectations. The unit itself was beautiful inside, brand new with comfortable furniture, new appliances, and a fully equipped kitchen. There are two full bathrooms, one of which has an enormous whirlpool bath (and the other of which has a regular shower/bath). There is really nice entertainment equipment like a stereo and flat-panel televisions in each room, and all rooms have ceiling fans which along with the A/C helps keep everything nice and cool. The unit itself has a huge lanai with access from each room, large glass doors that let in plenty of light, and the lanai overlooks the beachwalk mall. There is not much of an ocean view from there, but the sliver you can see is exactly where the sun sets (at least in October). The in-unit kitchen and laundry were really convenient for long stays, especially with kids. In addition to the in-unit ammenities, there is a front-desk, concierge, valet, and bellman just like at a hotel, and they are all friendly and professional. The front desk offers free beach towels, which is really nice so that you don't have to spend time washing towels. It is easy to get maintenance or housekeeping to come by if necessary. Also, there is free wi-fi available in the building. The entire package is easily as nice as any hotel I've been at. The location is very convenient, right in the heart of Waikiki on the Beach Walk mall, close to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. I made heavy use of the coffee shop right next door to the Wyndham. We could walk to the Royal Hawaiian mall, and the Aquarium and Zoo are a pleasant walk down Kalakaua road. Bus service is easily accessible within a few blocks to any destination. Chris is very professional and responsive, and it was extremely easy to reserve the unit, get confirmations, and ask questions if necessary. Everything went very smoothly from reservation to checkin to checkout. I would absolutely recommend to anyone to stay here, and my family would love to stay here again.

Great resort -- you could not ask for better quality or service. Chris (the owner) was great to work with. The trip prior to this my we stayed across the street in a 2 bedroom unit at the Embassy Suites. The Wyndham is far superior in size and has a full kitchen + the overall quality and service is just outstanding at the Wyndham. We were thinking about Maui next year but we had so much non stop fun at this resort & Waikiki in general we will be back next year to the Wyndham - Brian in Cincinnati
