Great place- more than enough room for 4 adults and 2 kids. Very comfy - kitchen has lots of dishes to cook with - huge tv in living room which kids loved. Kids had great time in back yard - gorgeous views, neighborhood was fun for walks and is close to all restaurants and stores.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Great summer getaway!

We stayed at this house for a month this summer with our two dogs. It was a great getaway! The house is in a perfect location ... Close to City Market and the brewery but across the street from a great trail and an easy bike route up North Pagosa. The yard was fenced so the dogs did not have to be on leash the entire time. The house was very comfortable. The master bedroom is large with a king size bed. The kitchen has everything you need to cook great dinners and updated appliances. The tv in the great room in huge! Our deposit check was returned within 1 week. The owners were always available to answer our questions. We hope to stay here again next summer! Highly recommend this property!

Very Comfortable Home in Great Location

The two of us (and our two dogs) stayed in this home for 10 days over Christmas & New Years. The house is very comfortable and has been nicely updated. The kitchen is laid out very efficiently and was a pleasure to work in for two or more. It also came well equipped - something I've found a lot of rentals lacking in. The living room was roomy and had a great entertainment system (once you wrap you mind around it). We didn't even miss a "real" wood fireplace! The fireplace is gas, and puts out a lot of heat -much preferred to wandering outside to restock from a wood pile! The Master Bedroom was very comfortable, had lots of storage, blackout drapes and it's own bathroom. The other two bedrooms where fine for additional guests. There was also an Aero bed if you needed sleeping areas for more than 5-6 people. The backyard was great for letting the dogs out without having to leash them. Although, I will warn that with the tons of snow we received, the snow coming from the roof builds a bridge of sorts to the front yard, so you have to watch them closely!! It was also great to be able to pull the car into a garage at night (another thing a lot of rentals overlook). Plus, someone plowed our driveway after a massive snow! What a life/back saver!!! The house is in a great location. By car: 15 minutes to groomed XC skiing/snowshoeing trails; 5 minutes to Brewery, Grocery, etc.; 15 minutes to "downtown" shopping & springs; 35 minutes to Wolf Creek. Plus, there's a nice network of trails just across the street (via an empty lot) that was great for short snowshoeing and dog walks. All-in-all a fabulous trip and place to call Home temporarily. We would highly recommend this home, and plan to return.

We really enjoyed staying at this beautful home for Memorial Day weekend! The location and the amenities were awesome! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone with higher standards.

Thsis was our first time using VRBO and found the experience to go very smoothly. We used this home during spring break for our annual ski trip. The McNown's home was great and was represented accurately on the website. It also included a fenced yard and a glassed-in porch off the patio. They included a folder of information about the area, listing restaurants and attractions. They offered some personal preferences and suggestions as well, which we appreciated. We can confidently recommend this property. It was a great week for us.

Great place. The pictures don't do it justice. The main living area has a gorgeous vaulted pine ceiling, and the kitchen is much bigger than it appears in the pictures. The location is perfect, with stores & restaurants just a couple miles up the road, and just 30 minutes to the slopes. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Wolf Creek area.
