Guffins Baywatch - Secluded, wooded, setting - Chaumont, Thousand Islands, New York Vacation Rental Cottage This beautiful, updated and expanded "fishing camp" is quiet, away from neighbors on a wooded, one-acre lot. Roomy and spacious (1300+ square feet) with new (2006) furnishings and carpeting. Plenty of space for relaxing with extra sleeping spaces in the living room, the game room, and the sun room. The dining area provides fantastic views of Guffins Bay. Watch the most awesome sunsets in North America from the covered front porch or the dock. The cottage sits on the hill above the bay. The driveway from the cottage to the road is 175' and the boat ramp to the waterline is another 75'. The picture of the ramp and dock was taken from about halfway up the driveway. The picture of the cottage was taken from about the same spot. The boat ramp is 15' wide at the bay front. We do charge $700 for Saturday to Saturday rental. We very seldom are able to rent for other periods. We ask for 50% of the rental to hold the date with the balance due not less than 30 days prior to your arrival date. Your dates will be guaranteed when your deposit and signed rental agreement are received. You may cancel with 30-day notice (or more) and receive a refund, less 15% of the reservation deposit, if we are able to re-rent the property for the same period. If we are unable to re-rent, the full amount prepaid will be forfeited. Cancellation with 29-day notice or less will not be eligible for refund. We do collect a $200 damage deposit, due at check-in. The deposit is returned within 2 weeks, if appropriate. We do not charge an additional cleaning fee but may deduct $50 for cleaning if not left as clean as it was at check-in. We clean and inspect the cottage before your arrival and before you leave. We expect the cottage to be left in the same condition as when you arrived. Cleaning supplies are provided. Pillar Point is the peninsula that forms the southern shore of Guffins Bay, which is contiguous to Chaumont Bay and Lake Ontario. About midway out on the peninsula's north shore is the old ferry landing, Adams Cove. We are located 1.4 miles northwest of Adams Cove which appears on almost all maps of New York. Our property manager can take credit card payments, if you are interested. We hope you decide to spend time at Guffins Baywatch.
