This is one of the best vacation apartments we have ever stayed in, and we would definitely stay there again! The location was ideal - close to all the wonderful sights and tourist areas, but incredibly authentic. You really get a feel for what it would be like living in Rome, and the neighbours are all very friendly! Great cafes on the same block, easy access to many markets, lots of local shopping within a few blocks radius. The apartment had everything we could have wanted and lots of space. It was perfectly clean with all modern updates. We stayed for ten days with an 11-month old and were very comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

The apartment was very much as described--neat, clean and well organized. Perfectly located for restaurants, cafes, shops and sightseeing. Hard to think of a better location. We were able to easily walk almost everywhere. The owners/managers are extremely friendly and Uncle Franco is your perfect "uncle" to greet and guide you around the neighborhood. Hope we can return in the not too distant future!!

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Rome and our stay in this lovely little apartment. In the lead up to our visit, Sonia was very helpful in answering our questions and the process of booking the apartment was professional and prompt. The apartment was comfortable and exceptionally clean. We were met by Uncle Franco, who gave us a warm and memorable welcome. He took us for a walk around the district and it became clear that we were in a very special part of Rome. The location was perfect. Right in the heart of everything, yet we felt safe and private in our inner city oasis. Via del San Pelligrino is a stunning, historic street and we did not have to venture far from the apartment to experience world class cuisine and hospitality. Every alleyway was postcard picture perfect. Right next door to us, was a cosy cafe/bar with comfortable lounges, great food, wine, beer, cocktails and free wifi. Everything we wanted to see in Rome was within walking distance of the apartment. I would thoroughly recommend a stay in this beautiful part of the world with Sonia and Uncle Franco as your hosts!

Campo de'Fiori is a great part of Rome and central to everything! We walked everywhere...Vatican City, The Forum, The Pantheon, The Spanish Steps, etc. Franco, the gentleman who showed me around was delitful and informative! I would highly recommend this apartment!

Pros: Great location in a young, hip neighborhood near a grocery, news stand, laundry mat, and internet points. Very secure with a strong metal door and great deadbolt. Very clean and efficient kitchenette Comfortable bed “Uncle Franco” showed us the location of a grocery store and where to buy a roma pass. Travel guide books on the bookshelf were quite helpful Ample storage in the sitting room Cons: Feels like a basement apartment (it does have a large window in the bedroom and a small window in the bathroom) but still feels like a basement apartment. Smells musty (I smelled this; my partner did not) Can hear upstairs neighbors walking above you, using the toilet, washing dishes, tv, etc Unit does not have internet access (internet access wasn’t promised, but we didn’t realize what a drawback this was until we were staying in Rome) Unit does not have a washer and dryer (wasn’t advertised as having one, but we didn’t realize what a drawback this was until we had to find a lavenderia in Rome) On weekends, there is a distinct thumping bass from surrounding bars. “Uncle Franco” took an hour for the “check in” process, and we both wanted him to just leave We were only given two bath towels, two hand towels, and no wash cloths for two grown adults during a five night stay (see no washer and needing to find a lavenderia) Small TV with no English-speaking stations Shower was very small (one of us is over 6’ tall) The apartment has an odd lay out. One room includes the kitchen, dining table, and bed, while the other area is the sitting room. The “sitting room” was not functional as a “sitting room”. It had no windows, does not have comfortable chairs, and is not a place we’d want to spend any time (see ample storage in the sitting room). There are no available closets, so one must hang their clothes in the sitting area (see odd lay out). Conclusion: Hind sight is 20-20, but we would have paid an additional 10 or 20 euro a night to stay in a better apartment.

We enjoyed our recent stay in your apartment. The location is excellent, allowing us to walk everywhere we intended to visit during our time in Rome. The apartment was very clean and we enjoyed having more space than we would have had in a hotel room. Uncle Franco was very helpful, giving us an orientation tour of the area, along with lots of practical information and answering all of our questions. Also, I appreciate your help with coordinating transfer services from the airport to the apartment, as well as to the cruise terminal at the end of our stay. We love Rome and hope to be able to return and would definitely rent the apartment again! Thank you for helping to make our stay so pleasant.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated the location of this apartment along with the help we received from the owners' Uncle Franco. We arrived by rental car which was a mistake because driving in Rome is nerve wracking, parking is not convenient, and because the apartment is so well located that we could walk everywhere. Our GPS led us right into the busy Campo Fiori market where I ended up leaving my wife in the car while I walked one block in the narrow streets to locate the apartment and and to meet Uncle Franco. He was immediately helpful and made us feel like family. He helped us carry all of our bags to the apartment, then suggested that my wife relax while he and I set out to find parking. At first we were planning to park a few blocks away on one of the streets along the Tiber, but soon realized that I would need to feed the parking meter several times a day which would interrupt our touring plans. Franco then helped me find a parking garage, and to negotiate a special rate, which although still expensive, was well worth it to have safe parking and not be worried about the car for the three days we were in Rome. He then accompanied me back to the apartment to make sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. My wife and I are so grateful for Uncle Franco; our trip would not have been the same without his help. The apartment was larger than we expected, and was perfect for the two of us. Overall we enjoyed it very much, and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

Hi Sonia, Thank you so much for renting your flat to me and my husband last week. We were very comfortable there, and wanted to give you some feedback for your website. The flat was very clean and had everything we needed. The location couldn't have been better, and we were able to walk everywhere. The flat was very quiet and peaceful, and was a welcome respite from the hectic city. We really appreciated the excellent hot water and comfortable bed. Overall we would definitely recommend the flat to others!

This is a small but very well organized flat which can host a family with two kids. The flat was clean and well maintained. The location is central and it is easy to access most of the tourist attractions by foot or bus. Franco gave us a very good survey on the flat and on the nieghborhood. Clearly a good choice.

We spent 3 nights in June 2010 in this apartment and highly recommend; you cannot ask for a better location. Clean, very quite and centrally located. We walked to all attractions (longest walk was 20 min to Colosseum). Not the biggest place but clean, affordable and again can't beat the location.

Upon arrival uncle Franco was there to greet us. We didn't know too much about the neighborhood and Franco took the time to show us around, and make us feel comfortable. The apartment is adorable! I was traveling with my sister and it was exactly what we needed. There are lots of cute shops on the street, and an amazing restaurant called Bric enoteca a couple of doors down. The apt is very central to all of the sights in Rome. Overall we had a wonderful experience. I can't wait to come back!!!

This flat made me and my fiance's trip even more memorable than we thought possible (in addition to our engagement!). I always get a little nervous booking on vrbo, but these reviews did not let me down. Sonia's communication was timely and prompt. She was very friendly and communicated everything clearly so there were no surprises. Uncle Franco (as has been written previously) was absolutely charming. He went above and beyond to show us around the area. He took us to a coffee shop because we arrived early, gave us a tour to the local grocery store, and just generally pointed out things in the area. He also helped us figure out what buses we'd need to take to our first destination. He really made us feel like we were staying at a family friend's place - extremely warm and welcoming - a great treat for us since we'd never visited Rome. Uncle Franco also arranged transportation for us to the airport (and twice because we had a cancelled flight) and was more than accomodating and friendly when we had to come back an extra night due to the cancelled flight. Our stay was the second week in December and the weather in Rome was very mild for this time of year - we expected much colder. The street the flat is on is amazing itself - there are all kinds of shops right beside you (several coffee shops - one about 3 or 4 doors down that has free wi-fi). The walks to Piazza Navona and Campo Di Fiori are so much easier/shorter (and prettier) than I ever thought they would be. The flat is in a central location to walk to or catch a bus to anywhere in Rome you'd want to visit. After exploring Rome for the day we would usually take a stroll to Piazza Navona or Campo Di Fiori for dinner or just to people watch. The flat was very clean and spacious. It was very quiet and tucked away - we woke up late several days because we slept so well! Overall I would highly recommend this flat to friends and family and I hope we get the opportunity to stay here again soon! Thanks Sonia & Franco!

Great location and great owners. We loved this apartment and the best part of it is that it is in the historical center of Rome and you can, indeed, go walking everywhere (it is half a block from Campo dei Fiori and 2 or 3 short blocks from Piazza Navona). We even went walking to St. Peters and Tastevere from the apartment. We stayed there with our two kids (a toddler and a baby)and my sister. The apartment was big enough for all of us. It's completely renovated and decorated with lively colors. The kitchinette is not huge but it was enough for us -we had dinner in the apartment a couple of nights but you will honestly go out as much as you can when you are in Rome. One of the bedrooms (the one with the sofa) has less natural light than the other but, again, since you will be out most of the day, this was not an issue for us (and this is how apartments are in the historic center of Rome). Sonia, Alex and Franco helped us in all respects -from finding a parking space along the Tiber, to e-mailing us an itenerary to drive through Rome (which I actually wouldn't recommend -it's hard to drive in Rome when you don't know the city) to be able to return the rental car in Termini. Sonia booked the van for us to go to the airport. Everything went perfectly well. If we get back to Rome, we will stay at this apartment again. I strongly recommend it!!

Our stay in Rome was 100% enhanced by this apartment nestled in the historic center. The location could not have been better. It was extremely quiet which, from what I hear, is usually not the case in Rome. Franco was wonderful - he took the time to take us to the bank and walked us through the neighborhood. He went above and beyond. Although the apartment has very little natural light, it was still pleasant and in a phenomenal location - very safe and just minutes from everything. When I asked my husband if he would stay there again - it was a resounding YES!

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our 4 short days in Rome. The flat was perfect for us to be able to walk everywhere we wanted to see. With easy access to a grocery store a few blocks away and a hundred restaurants within easy walking distance, we were never far from a good meal. With such an excellent location, we covered just about everything from the Vatican to the Colosseum, from Trastevere to the Spanish Steps. Four days is too short but we were able to absorb much of the atmosphere that is Rome. The flat was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a long day visiting the sites of Rome. It was nice and quiet and comfortable. We both enjoyed meeting Sonia and we were particularly pleased to meet Uncle Franco - he is a real gem! He was so helpful and we enjoyed our short time with him immensely. We felt so welcome and highly recommend your flat to others as well! Thank you again for helping make our visit a most enjoyable one! We hope to be back soon!

We rented the studio for a week early June 08. We concur with all the enthusiastic comments made by other guests this year. It's worth reading a good number of them to learn about all the practical and pleasant features the owners have put in place to make our sojourn in Rome exceptional. Our contribution to these comments: DVDs on Rome history , availability of a very good public transport map (although almost all of Rome great sights are at a walking distance) Best wishes for your trip

Dearest Sonia: Once again I would like to express my gratitude for your warm hospitality. Greeting us at the apartment, getting us some refreshments, and showing us all of the local area was very sweet. My family and I appreciated your thoughtfulness. We stayed in the flat for only three nights, however, we were wishing that we would have been there longer. The location was ideal for anyone who wants to emerse into the Roman life. We were keeping Roman hours- taking strolls each evening to sight see and to of course get some gelatos! We don't know how we will live without them! We may have to be the ones to bring gelatos to the deep south. We were a family of four-my husband, me and two daughters aged 12 and 9. The accomodations were perfecto! The girls had the front room and me and my husband had the bedroom. Plenty of space for us all.I would wholeheartly recommend this flat to anyone who comes to visit the Eternal City. Ciao, Ciao! Hoping to return in the near future!Sincerely, Jennifer Horne McKinney

Ciao Sonia and Franco,Thank you for your wonderful apartment in Rome. We were delighted to find this comfortably equipped and quiet apartments so close to Campo de’ Fiori and Piazza Navona. We loved the City and walked everywhere. It is very conveniently located within walking distance to virtually everything in the historic part of Rome. We could walk to the colosseum, Vatican, Spanish Steps, Forum, you name it, within 30 minutes. We enjoyed strolling the back streets and bumping into the hidden piazzas throughout Rome most. It's a very easy city to get around in. We felt safe anytime of day or night . Thanks to Franco For the airport service and final good-bye tour. Tips for future guests? There is no problem getting tickets but for Borghese galleria ...you have to buy ticket few days ahead and make reservations online for a two hour time -slot or you will not get in. Secondly, don't eat in tratorias, restaurants, etc that are located directly in the main piazzas. They are there mainly for the tourist industry and therefore a little on the pricey side. It's best to venture off the piazzas down one of the many smaller streets. Be prepared for the euro to dollar shock. We controlled them impact by having a nice breakfast in the apartment and snacking during the day before a nice meal in the evening. Irena.

Hi Sonia and Franco, Thanks so much for welcoming us to your apartment in Rome. It was very comfortable for our family of 4 (2 daughters aged 15 & 18). We loved the location near Campo de' Fiori and quickly felt we were part of Rome's culture, if only for 3 nights. It was the end of our 16 night trip including Venice, Florence & Sorrento and it was everyone's favorite experience. We could walk everywhere we wanted. And Franco helped make the transition into the apt. seemless, showing us where to food shop and even taking time with us to find an Ipod adapter for our girls at a nearby hardware store. And it was a comfort to know that he'd be there to pick us up and take us to the airport on the final morning. He's a gem. All went well and we'd love to visit Rome and use your place again. Ciao, Peter

My husband and I spent 4 nights in the apartment in early March, after which I was joined by two friends and stayed an additional 2 nights. It was perfection! In all I stayed 34 days in Italy, and this was the best apartment in many ways: the location is ideal ~ the Campo di Fiori Market a few steps away; Piazza Navona a 5 minute walk; and Vatican City a brief 15 minute stroll. This is to name just a few of the sites within easy walking distance. The apartment itself has everything one could ask for. It is bright and extremely quiet. The owners have thought of everything, from more than ample clothes hangers and hooks and dressers, to comfortable bedding, great reading lights, wonderful spacious shower and top quality towels. I cooked some wonderful meals there and found all the utensils, pots, dishes, etc. needed to prepare and serve the food. Uncle Franco was a gem ~ dependable, eager to give us information, and a terrific help in getting to the airport, etc. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit Rome. It was a joy to be there and I will definitely stay there again whenever I return to that city. Thank you Sonia and Uncle Franco! Lois Farina Reilly Keyport, NJ USA

Perfect location, a pretty and very quiet, comfy apt, easy to walk (or bus) anywhere. Uncle Franco met us and walked us to the nearby markets so we would be at ease. Campo di Fiori (just down the street) is terrific! Piazza Navonna is a few streets away. We have stayed in many apts in Rome thru the years and would happily stay here again. Warm in Dec with plenty of hot water. We enjoyed lots of 'home' cooked meals prepared in the small kitchen. You can comfortably stay here without any hesitation. Enjoy!

We just wanted to thank you for the awesome time we had staying at your flat in Campo Di Fiori. Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights in the heat of July, and the flat was very cool and quiet, as promised. The location was simply outstanding! 1 mintue walk to Campo Di Fioro, which had a fruit/veggie market every morning and a flower market every night! 3-4 minute walk to Piazza Navona, 10 minutes to the Pantheon or Trestevere, and 15 minute walk to the Vatican. Everything from U. Franco picking us up at the airport to the excellent shower pressure and plenty of hot water made for a very easy transition to our Italy vacation. Thanks again and I will definitely recommend your flat to others.

One of our highlights was "Uncle Franco" who greeted us when we arrived and took us to the airport in his car so we didn't have to get a taxi. Hope you and baby are doing fine, Sonia.

Our weekend visit from 5/11 - 5/14 was great! We loved the apartment and it's proximity to Campo di Fiori, Piazza Navona, and the bus system. Sonia and Franco were both very accomodating, and even helped us get from the apartment to Termini for our departure. The apartment was very cute, clean, and quiet. Not to mention new appliances and updated bathroom. It was perfect for us!

We would like to thank Franco, Alessandro and Sonia so much for all thier help in making our stay in Rome the best! The apartment was so comfortable and so cool. We loved the decor and the great use of space. It was so clean and we especially loved the colors! It went perfect with the flowers we bought outside our door just a few steps away at Campo de fiori! And the apartment was so amazingly quiet even though we were literaly minutes from so much stuff! We would stay their anytime we were in Rome and would recommend it highly to anyone. Thanks again and hope we see you again soon. Ciao Bellas!
