This cozy, three-bedroom, cottage home has privacy on a quiet lane next to a wildlife conservation area with nature trail. Beautiful Red River Beach on Nantucket Sound is a short .8 mile walk or bike ride. Sitting room has a gas fireplace, TV, and internet access. Bright sunroom makes a play area and possible additional sleeping space. Deck has gas grill, furniture, and a chimenea for chilly nights. Freshly painted bedrooms have queen, double and two twin beds. There are two full baths with showers; washer/dryer combo in laundry alcove. Private outside shower in grassy, shady backyard.

We find this an ideal central location mid-cape, great for kids, near a lovely town beach and within easy driving of ocean surf at Nauset. There are lots of amusement and fun parks, batting cages. kid boating, ralley racing, local antique, and art shops in Harwich and nearby towns, restaurants are plentiful and we're right near the local "Sundae School" ice cream parlor.   • We visited the cottage at the beginning of June and were surprised to find it was still springtime on Cape Cod. The leaves on the trees were still emerging and the number of birds singing was incredible. The weather was beautiful, but still too cool for swimming. There were no crowd of people. We walked down to the beach and took a nice stroll along the water and the beautiful estuary. Also we drove up the coast and walked out to the lighthouse near Chatham and then onto Nauset ocean beach and the Nauset marsh. The town of Harwich is charming. The cottage itself was a lovely place to stay. It is very comfortable, homelike and well supplied. We enjoyed cooking meals there and used the gas grill out on the deck. We enjoyed the deck and ate outside a number of times. The sunroom was a very pleasant place to relax. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it for a family vacation.

  • We spent the last week of August in 2007 at this lovely place! It was our all-time best week on the Cape! The house was perfect for our family of four. It was comfortable, and we had more than enough room. As soon as you walk in, you feel right at home in this charming little summer home! My husband and I spent every morning drinking our coffee on the back deck in the beautiful, quiet back yard. It is minutes from a lovely beach, and close to the town of Chatham for that all-important shopping time! We are looking forward to spending another week there this summer!

  • Our family used the VRBO service for the first time when we found this cottage. With our family of 5 we were a little nervous. The holidays we had were absolutely amazing and the cottage was a perfect fit for our family. The location was great the rooms were perfect, the deck was our main eating area and the clean cottage was the best. We were so happy with our stay here on the Cape that we have booked again for this year. Robert was a delight to deal with and we would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a great stay on the Cape!
