The Boathouse at Turtle Cove is a unique property with 250 feet of frontage on a pristine, five mile long lake in the western foothills of Maine. It is a peaceful retreat whether you are rocking on the front porch or overlooking the scenic view from your private dock.

The boathouse was originally constructed in the early 1890s as a place for a launch to the island across the lake as well as a location for a carriage and horses. Over the years many changes have been made to the structure. It now is a romantic retreat or cozy family getaway. The main structure is the great room which houses a fully applianced kitchen and central living room area with TV, DVD, stereo, fireplace, game table and daybed with pop-up trundle. A spiral staircase leads to a loft with twin beds and skylights. Down the hall is the romantic master bedroom with gas fireplace and french doors to a private patio. A bath with 4 foot sit-down shower completes the cottage. Off the french doors in the living area is an extensive, multi-level docking system.

Early morning coffee suspended over the lake watching the loons is a fabulous start to the day! Roasting marshmallows over the fire pit and making S'Mores is a fitting end. Young families can enjoy splashing in the shallow beach area. Boating, kayaking and canoeing are other great pursuits!
