Forget the commercialism and congestion of Southern Maine, the Cape or Martha's Vineyard. This home is located in Mid-Coast Maine, right on the Ocean, exactly one hour north-east of Portland and perfectly situated along the middle of the coast, between Portland and Bar Harbor. This is an area of rocky unspoiled shoreline, gentle inlets, charming fishing villages and a relaxed lifestyle. Return to a simpler life of breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, the freshest and most delicious seafood in the world, spectacular coastal scenery and the scent of sea salt in the air.

This very unique property consists of a newly built 1900 square foot cape (1998) house, with a crisp, bright and open post and beam layout, a modern island kitchen, and 3 bedrooms directly on top of the Ocean situated on over 2.5 acres of land with 400 feet of saltwater frontage. Enjoy gorgeous ocean views from the home's two spacious decks and large bright windows throughout the house. The property comes equipped with a 40 foot deep water dock and two boats-a single kayak and a three-person canoe-kayak hybrid, along with life jackets and paddles ready for your enjoyment. The kayaking in this area is world famous, and you can explore dozens of pristine islands right from off of the dock.

A local lobster pound is within walking distance to the property (about four hundred yards), and the Muscongous Bay Lobster Pound, consistently ranked as among the best and most beautiful lobster pounds in the State, is approximately three miles up the road in Round Pond. Damariscotta, with its famous harbor, restaurants and a Hannaford's shopping center, is only 10 minutes from the house. Pemaquid Point Beach, one of Maine's most gorgeous sandy beaches and home to the most photographed lighthouse in the world, Pemaquid Point Light, is about 20-25 minutes from the house. Everything you could ever need for your stay is provided, including a fully stocked kitchen, brand new linens, wireless internet, outdoor furniture and grill, a DVD player with dozens of DVDs, Direct TV, a bose IPOD docking stereo station and a brand new 42-inch LCD HD TV.

  • What a great time we had at your house! The 4 older kids enjoyed there own little retreat in the guest house away from the parents. You can't ask for a better time in Maine. We enjoyed the canoe & Kayak and made it out to the small islands nearby exploring; walked to the lobster pound down the street almost every day and we were well located to other towns and beaches. I hope to come again soon.
