We had a wonderful stay at this home. We had 7 adults and 3 children and the home provided a lot of space for everyone. The game room was a real hit. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The home is very convenient to many activities. Carol, the owner is very easy to work with and provided all the information needed to make our stay very enjoyable. We would definitely consider staying at this home again.

We had 4 adults and two young children stay at this place this winter, and it was perfect in every way! So close to town, to great resorts, and many activities outside! The rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space for everyone to retreat to, while maintaining its cozy feel. The open plan kitchen and living room is excellent for those with children. The pull-in garage is convenient for those snowy days. And I can't say enough about the hot tub! It was heaven after a day on the slopes! Thanks again for a great trip! It was one of the best!

We spent Thanksgiving week with 3 adults, 2 small kids and 2 small dogs, and the house was perfect for our needs! It has an unobstructed, panoramic view of the lake from the large living room windows and the front porch, and the layout of the bedrooms/bathrooms was great for kids and adults to have their own spaces. The hot tub in the evenings was great, and the location was close to everything we needed... grocery store, hiking trails, beaches, playgrounds, etc. The house was very clean and in excellent condition, and the owners were very helpful in their communication with us. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Had a fantastic time at this property AGAIN! You will love this house. Very cozy and clean with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds super comfortable, the decor is stylish but maintains the cabin feel. I've been to Tahoe many times and this is by far my favorite place to stay.

This was a gorgeous property. Carol had the best and most informative directions/guide to the house. The hot tub was amazing and it was great to see the lake from it. There is great afternoon sun on both of the front porches and they were perfect for eating lunch and lounging. We also appreciated being able to park our car in the garage. Overall, this was perfect and the best place I have rented in Tahoe.

Amazing. Your home felt like our home. A great place to stay. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home. We hope you allow us back. We didn't see the bears, but we figured that was a good thing for the bears. Thank you so very much. ***ML (from FL)*** The lake views, the hot tub, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, laundry room, steps down to the beach. I could go on & on about your wonderful vacation home. You've truly made it a home away from home for your guests. Living in two different states, I cherish the time spent with my best friends & this was the most comfortable vacation home yet. Thank you for sharing & also for allowing dogs. That makes a big difference. Carol was very helpful, answering all e-mails & questions promptly, giving excellent directions and house instructions. The property is clean & well-maintained. The listing & photos are accurate. We would absolutely stay here again. ***BM (from AZ)*** Wow-walked in the front door & felt that I was home, the most welcoming thus far of all the homes we have rented for girls week. Thanks for making this trip so relaxing & fun for my very best friends and I. I am truly blessed. I enjoyed making my friends dinner in your well stocked kitchen. Lake views - stunning. Hot Tub! Hikes! Hope you allow us to come back in the near future. Thanks so much. ***SK (from FL)*** Sniff sniff sniff. Wag Wag Wag. Chipmunks. Squirrels. Birds. SWIMMING! Brrrr...cold. Yawn. Sleep. This house is absolutely beautiful! It was my 1st time in Lake Tahoe and I can’t wait to come back. My friends had me book the house and after spending a couple of hours looking online, I decided. The whole group fell in love with this place. We had everything we needed and the owner was very nice.

My family and I recently stayed at this great lakeside house on North Shore, Tahoe. We have stayed at several Tahoe rentals previously but this was by far the all round best. The four factors that are always high on our list when we rent a vacation home are: Location, quality, cleanliness and comfortable beds - this house exceeded expectation on all counts. We stayed there for 8 days in the middle of our 2wk vacation and we loved it. My wife and two teenage daughters did not want to leave. There was enough space for everybody to relax and the view from all rooms is wonderful, especially the lounge and master. We even loved the 'tahoe hillside' rear garden that has great privacy and a quality hot tub. Access to all Tahoe ski resorts was great as well lots of local restaurants - our favourite was Garwoods - less than 5 mins away; right on the lake, happy hours, casual or formal dining - brilliant. Carol was also most efficient and approachable throughout the booking process and answered all our queries promptly. When ever we return to Tahoe this will be our spot, maybe for a summer vacation next time so we can take advantage of the private beach. Anyone considering renting this place - stop hesitating and get involved, you won't be disappointed.

We just got home from a wonderful vacation at Lakeside at Agate Bay! Everything was perfect! The house was comfortable and everything was easy to find and use. Location was also a plus because we were so close to everything that we wanted to do while there. Spent most of one day just relaxing and hanging out at the house and it was very nice. LOVED having the hot tub! Our timing was also perfect because we got up there just after a little storm and everything was snowy then by the time we left most of the snow had melted. We don't get to go on vacation very often so this was a real treat!

This house was perfect for a weekend away. Sadly, the snow wasn't so great, but it was Superbowl weekend, so we had plenty of fun hanging out by the gas fireplace and gazing out across the lake. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus which really sealed the deal for us. I'm sure in the summer, this is a great spot too, since it is literally directly across the street from the lake, with a small pier and boaty thing for your use. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the house was clean and very well appointed with everything you'd need in the kitchen, a dishwasher, washer & dryer, plenty of games, cable tv, and a convenient location. Also loved that it was dog friendly so we could bring our pup up to see the snow for the first time. The only drawbacks for me were the rest of the backyard - there isn't much of one, it's basically a hillside; and the nearness to a very busy road (hwy 267). There aren't any sidewalks, and as cars fly by while you're trying to walk an exuberant pup without slipping on ice, it's a little bit daunting. I can imagine it might be nerve wracking for families as well. We would certainly recommend this spot for a winter weekend away, and probably for a summer retreat as well. Our contact for renting the property, Carol, was quick to respond, flexible, and easy to work with. We'd love to come back again!

We just stayed 3 nights at Lakeside at Agathe Bay. Perfect location and views, this place is just across the street from the Lake. Very conveniant as it is just a few minutes from grocery stores, little town and casinos and less than 20 minutes to Squaw valley! The house is really well maintained and spacious: 6 adults, a baby and a frenchie were totally confortable. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen is stock well. Carol, the owner, was also quick to answer our questions and we really appreciate our complemantary bottle of wine when we arrived. This rental is just great and we would definitely come back.

We stayed here in January with our 3 young adult children. I cannot say enough good things about it. It was clean, large, with very comfortable beds and a very well stocked kitchen. You feel right at home the minute you walk in. This is not a rental, but truly a home. You have a great view of the lake from both the master bedroom and the living room/kitchen area. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. The location is convenient to shopping, restaurants, ski resorts, etc. The owner was wonderful to work with and always gave us a quick response. The kitchen is filled with tons of dishes, pots and pans, electric mixer, blender, etc. Everything you could ever need to make yourself at home. I would recommend staying here very highly and hope to come back some day.

We spent several fall days at Lakeside before my son deployed overseas, it was perfect fall weather and a wonderful location!. It is a beautiful cabin with the feel of home. We had an early thanksgiving and I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchen having 2 ovens and all the required pans, griddles and other supplies! We all enjoyed the hot tub and views of Lake Tahoe. Being able to spend quality family time with all three of the kids doesn't happen often and EVERY one of us had a great time at Lakeside! Thanks to our hosts for this wonderful, cozy, beautifully decorated get away!

We loved our stay in this comfortable home with outdoor decks, BBQ, and private yard with hot tube. Fully equipped modern kitchen with lots of windows with forest views. The front views of the mountains and lake are fantastic. The owner Carol is very informative, friendly and easy to work with. The property is clean, well maintained and lives up to the listing description regarding location and amenities. I can't wait to go back. Part of me hesitates to recommend to friends and family because I'm afraid they will fill the calendar and there won't be space for my return.

From the moment we walked in..I felt right at home!! I celebrated my 50th b-day with my close friends and we had a amazing time. When we rent places in Tahoe we want a nice comfortable home since we plan on cooking and just hanging out there together the whole time. The location is perfect for runs to the grocery store and for a couple folks who wanted to do a little gambling. I really loved the open floor plan since so much of our time is spent preparing meals and socializing. We relaxed in the hot tub and my fur child enjoyed the outdoors. I loved the master bedroom (which was for me) the birthday girl...loved having my own space..the room is very cozy. I will be back soon! Carol the owner also was so friendly to work with and since the place was available...we got to check in a earlier.

We spent Christmas/New Year at Lakeside. My three boys had never seen snow before and they loved it. From the moment we walked in we felt we were in a well loved home. There was everything we needed. The kitchen was a joy to cook in with everything you needed provided. Fresh muffins every day become the norm. The views were breathtaking. The boys loved sledding down the driveway and the close proximity to the ski fields was an added bonus. We were snowed in a couple of times and lost power and Carol was fantastic in helping us sort through those problems. We would highly recommend this home to any one. We can't wait to come back.

This is the second year we have rented "Our Home Away From Home" as we call it, aka Lakeside at Agate Bay. We loved our two week stay so much last year, that we rented it for a month this year, and again were never disappointed. The house is well equipped and comfortable, feels like home. The views are beautiful from every room and the house has many amenities such as the fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, and gas fireplace. Our favorite part of Lakeside at Agate Bay is the private beach and Float. Wow do we love that float! Every afternoon, we would get our suits on, pile onto the float and paddle it out to the buoy where we would tie up. Talk about relaxation!!! And how many people in Tahoe can say they have their own private beach! A few times we went out on the private beach at night and roasted marshmellows and made s'mores in the firepit that is there, incredible! We are already planning our next summer vacation there again and we can't wait. Obviously, I highly recommend Lakeside at Agate Bay. If you are bringing children, the beach is a rock beach, so make sure they have water shoes. :) Lakeside at Agate bay is also centrally located...so getting around is fairly easy. A few places I would recommend for dining are CB's Pizza in Carnelian Bay and Front Street Station Pizza Co. located in Tahoe city...Both of these places serve a lot more than just pizza, and the prices are reasonable.

This is an area of country that our family had not visited. We really enjoyed being on the north side of the lake, we felt we had more privacy. The home was very comfortable and relaxing, it met all of our needs. The boys enjoyed fires by the lake and in the backyard. The lake was still too cold for swimming but the boys took the large raft out on the lake one day. We also rented a boat one afternoon, the lake was much bigger than we thought. One of our best vacations!

We recently returned from our wonderful stay at "Lakeside at Agate Bay". I cannot say enough about the fantastic views we had of Lake Tahoe and the snow-capped mountains. It was beautiful! The house was just as nice as the pictures online indicated, and very comfortable for our family of 5 adults. Each of the bedrooms and the living area had large windows (french doors in master) that opened to these spectacular views! We also enjoyed having a cup of coffee in the mornings on the front deck before taking our day trips. While it was too cold to swim, the temperature (60-70's) was perfect for our hikes and picnics! The back yard was very nice and private. Each day, when we returned from our outings, we would sit on the back patio, drink a glass of wine and watch the tiny ground squirrels scamper around while my husband grilled our dinner. This was a perfect location for the relaxing vacation we were hoping to have!

We stayed at the house in March 2010 and had an amazing time. There was a rather large snow storm while we were there and it was really helpful that the house has someone who comes by to snow plow the driveway. Everything is very modern, the hot tub is great and the wireless internet worked perfectly. Really close to Northstar and our young kids loved the sledding at the park that is just about five minutes from the house. The Safeway is really close as well.

My husband and I are just back from our second winter's visit. Our party consisted of son and his wife, our adult daughter and the family dog. There was plenty of room to be extremely comfortable (the rooms are bigger than they appear in the photos) and the decor and furnishings are so attractive. It felt just like "home", or actually better! Apart from my husband, we all skied at a different resort each day and looked forward to the hot tub in the evening. My husband was more than content to stay home with his computer(perfect wireless connection) and walk the dog right across the road by the lake. We all left making plans to try to get together for a family trip again in the summer, if possible.

My wife, 16 month old daughter and I spent just after Christmas through New Years in Lakeside at Agate Bay and loved every second of it. No amount of praise can do this house justice, it must be experienced to fully appreciate it. The open living area with fully equipped kitchen is a joy to cook in, and when you are in there you are never away from the action of the house. The decorating is warm and inviting making you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. The usable garage is a perfect touch for the frequent winter snow...it snowed almost every day we were there and I never had to dust the car off. We could also leave our skis on the car overnight making life very easy. We have been back from our vacation for almost two months, and I am trying to figure a way to get back to this wonderful location soon.

We spent a long weekend at this property, and this place is adorable!!! All rooms are tastefully decorated and feel much roomier than it looks on the website pictures. This includes the open kitchen, which by the way is one of the most well equipped we've ever seen on a rental - from small appliances to bowls for preparation and serving plates. The fridge is great size, a little "pantry" in the hallway has space for storing dry foods and the laundry room leaves space for the extra stuff you don't want to leave in the garage but also want out of your way. The place was super clean when we arrived and everything in this house worked: showers, heating, fireplace, garage door, hot tub... We didn't have a chance to visit/use the property's private beach area across the road but we are looking forward to coming back in the summer for that!

I stay there for a weekend in Jan,2010 with some friends. The landlord(owner) is so friendly. She stock the house with all the things that you could think of. Even flash light and battery and ziplog bags. It is just like I am living in my own house. Upscale kitchen utensils and nice appliance. It is a very upscale house (nice thick bathroom towel) with good rental price. Master bedroom is very spacious with french door, wonderful view of lake tahoe. That house is very cutely decorate. I will definitely go back and stay there again. The view is very nice and convenience location. Like the jacuzzi a lot.

My family and I traveled from the east coast to spend Christmas at Lakeside. The location and accomodations were everything we had hoped for when we booked over the internet. My personal favorite was the kitchen, but the rest of the family enjoyed the hot tub after spending the days on near by slopes. We are now dreaming of a summer visit in the future.

Even after being back for over a week, I still do not know where to start in describing this wonderful property. From the moment you walk in the house surrounds you in an upscale and cozy environment that makes you feel right at home. Lake Tahoe can be seen through all front windows, and I loved drinking my coffee looking at the beautiful scenery. The kitchen is a fully stocked joy to cook in, and we hardly ate out because of this. The garage is such a huge bonus because it snowed almost every night we were there, but I never had to clean the car off. It also let us leave our skis on the car overnight without worry. The location on the north side of the lake is perfect for a quiet vacation, and even the hustle and bustle of South Lake Tahoe is only a pleasant 45 min drive. There are just not enough good things to say about Lakeside at Agate Bay, and I hope I get another chance to spend a fantastic vacation at this amazing home.
