My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this condo. The view was incredible, the furnishings quite comfortable and location ideal! We enjoyed riding bikes, shelling, walking along the beach and dinner at the Thistle! I would highly recommend this condo for your beach vacation!

The two of us and our chihuahua spent one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations at #12281 Loggerhead Cay the week of Thanksgiving. The condo was comfortable, roomy-with a very nice large lanai overlooking the pool area and a bit further-the Gulf. Both bedrooms were well-appointed with their own flat screens and the beds were very cozy/comfortable. I LOVED the king size bed. Code entry to the condo was easy & there is an elevator a few feet away. We rented bikes off Periwinkle and had such a ball riding around the island, exploring the paths over by the lighthouse, stopping for lunch at the Island Cow and making it all the way down to Bailey's Store(sky-hi prices, btw). The condo provided us with a much-needed get-away from our hectic/stressful life in Atlanta. Be sure to hop off the isle, head down Summerlin to Fowler, then to Edison to enjoy some of the most mouth-watering Southern food on the planet at Farmers Market Restaurant. YUM! We will be back :) We would love to return.

3rd trip to Sanibel

This was our 3rd trip to Sanibel and also to this Condo. WE love it here. WE cannot find a single flaw in the accomodations nor the location. The restaurants are all excellent. My husband loves the conch chowder at Doc Ford's and the entrees at the Green Flash in Captiva. WE come to Sanibel for relaxing and this means I do not cook any meals. WE have tried most of the restaurants on Sanibel and Captiva and have never had a bad meal. This Condo just feels like home. When I opened the door on this trip I just felt like I was finally home again.

We had a wonderful family vacation in mid March. The views from the condo are beautiful and the space was great for the five of us. The owner was very helpful and responsive in answering all of our questions. The beach was beautiful and the weather perfect!

Our family had a great time in Sanibel Island and the condo! The condo is easy to get to and close enough to walk or bike to anything. My wife and daughter played tennis every morning while my other daughter and I biked to get breakfast. The beach and pool area are close and not too crowded. The condo itself is nice, but needs updates (counters, paint) and some of the shared items such as beach chairs and towels are in rough shape. These are all things that can be easily addressed which the owner indicated they are planning to do. The owner was very responsive and helpful in making our stay as good as possible!
Owner response:Hello, this is Michael the owner. I just had the the bathrooms and the guest bedroom repainted the week of April 30th through May 7th. The entire unit has now been repainted since December. My wife Diane & I buy new beach towels, beach recliners, and children's toys every time we go down. Also, we have a caretaker that replaces these items should they go missing. There are many shops close to the condo. I will reimburse any renter who feels they need new towels or beach chairs during their stay. I am available 7 days a week on my mobile phone and Blackberry and will respond to any need or concern.

This is a good condo with a nice ocean view. The owner has plans for some significant upgrades this year and I expect the the rating will be Excellent for the 2012 season. The condo is comfortable and well equipped. The complex has a very nice pool and tennis courts and is located straight across the island from the causeway. The beach front is active but not overly crowded. A 20-30 minute walk from the complex gets you to the lighthouse, fishing pier and the best breakfast cafe on the island. We rented bikes for the week and the bike trails are excellent. You can be at the opposite corner of town in 30 minutes. My wife rode out to the Starbucks on Captiva for coffee one morning (about a 3 hour ride round trip). Lots of good restaurants on Sanibel and Captiva. A couple are within a 15 minute walk from the condo Overall this was a very enjoyable vacation. The owner and local agent were very responsive and easy to work with. I expect that we will be back next year.

I have been going to Sanibel Island for years and I can honestly say, that the condo is the perfect location on the Island. The beach is beautiful and it is close to everything (restaurants, pool bars, stores, shopping). The condo is a nice place and the owner has recently done a lot of work on the unit. The views from the lanai and the kitchen are nice as well. The beach is about 30 seconds from the front door of the condo -- which is key. Long story short, you won't be sorry if you stay here.

The owners we're very responsive to my emails which made selecting the rental very easy. I've been traveling to Sanibel for the past 20 years, and would say that Loggerhead is in a great location. The complex is in fair condition, I was hoping for a Grill but couldn't find one. I hate to do this but I feel it's my duty to educate others as to the condition of this rental. This will be an honest review as I have photos to prove all my comments. The following is what we found wrong with the apartment: The wall paper was falling off the guest bedroom, along with dust everywhere. One of the closest doors was falling off and few of the closets were full of old items which looked to be broken. In the master bedroom the over flow spout had mold growing out of it and the bed spread had a few small blood stains. I sent an email to the owners, as it looked like the cleaners were taking advantage and they seemed genuinely upset to hear of our remarks. They offered a reduction in rent if we wanted to stay there again. It was a nice offer but I would have to decline…. I hope the owners have addressed these items and if not be warned..
Owner response:My name is Michael, and I am the owner of this unit. I traveled to the Unit immediately after this renter posted this review. There are 2 nice large gas grills next to the tennis courts. They are well maintained and may be used by any renter. The entire unit has been repainted. The bedrooms do not have wallpaper. The closet doors are on. The guest bedroom closet has a step stool, an ironing board, and it had a portable crib at the time, none of which are broken. The master bathroom sink has a small hole for overflow which has adhesive from the installation, not mold! Both bedrooms have brand new Egyptian cotton sheets. The duvet covers gets dry cleaned regularly. Again, I flew down after this review because I was so disturbed by it. I found it to be baseless. I think the renter was looking for a free week. The photos posted are from February 2011, and I hope they speak for themselves. My wife Diane and I go down 4 times a year and we spend thousands per year on the upkeep of our unit. Please call if you have any other questions

Beverly: .... had a terrific time...... was our best vacation in a long time. I just loved the way you have decorated your condo, especially the lanai. It was lovely and just perfect..... and your "Beverly's Best" made the trip even better too. We enjoyed the 'Bubble Room'.... I had the orange crunch cake you reccommended, and it was a "10"! Thanks for sharing your condo with us. We definitely want to rent it again nex summer.

Beverly, your place was great. It was everything you said it would be and more. Our whole family had a great time. We parents got a true respite and the kids had a blast as well (we parents did too). Just to give you an idea of what we saw/did: dolphins followed us in our boats wake while we went on a cruise, we saw a 7 foot alligator sitting on the side of the road as we drove through the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, collected unbelievably beautiful shells within the first 20 feet of simply strolling on the beach, remarkable sunsets, and we achieved a state akin to nirvana by being just amidst beautiful environs. (Almost forgot the swimming pool). We really did have a great time. Thanks for letting us use your space. We will cross paths again. All the best, John :-), Kathy :-), Kalina :-), and Zoe ;-)
