This exceptionally beautiful, Gulf-view condominium features a wonderful view of the Gulf from every room, and of the swimming pool, to the left, in the lovely landscaped courtyard, below. ( 3rd floor unit)

The condominium is located in the choice LOGGERHEAD CAY complex, DIRECTLY ON THE GULF, and just five minutes after crossing the causeway onto the island. My unit is in GULF-FRONT building #5. (2nd unit back from oceanfront) It features a GREAT VIEW of the GULF from every window in unit, and sSSSScreened lanai. Enjoy morning coffee on the lanai while watching the avid shell collectors on the beach. The ocean surf can be heard, day and night, just by leaving sliding doors slightly ajar (great for lulling yourself to sleep!).

The condominium is only a few minutes from Sanibel Marina (where the popular restaurant, 'Gramma Dots,' is located). It is also just minutes from famous Sanibel Lighthouse where the famous breakfast restaurant, 'Lighthouse Cafe', and the fishing pier are located.

There are 27 miles of bike trails throughout the island..NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON ISLAND.... and 'BILLY'S BIKE RENTALS' will deliver/pick up bikes right to your door! Over 200 bird species have been spotted in the 'DING DARLING BIRD SANCTUARY' (you will marvel at the flamboyance of a flock of roseate spoonbills), where you can bike, walk, drive, or even canoe/kayak through the mangrove trails while frolicking porpoises keep you company. The island of Sanibel is a NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, offering endless hrs. of wildlife viewing.... it is a PHOTOGRAPHER'S DREAM !

There is a choice of nearby award-winning restaurants, such as the five-star 'Bubble Room' on adjoining Captiva Island. There are also casual, fun places to eat such as 'The Lazy Flamingo' on Sanibel - where the locals congregate. There are NO 'chain' restaurants - only distinctive, 'one-of-a-kind' restaurants with indescribable menus.

If you prefer, you can spend the day at the fishing pier, and catch your own dinner of snook, snapper, or flounder! Fishing charters with knowledgeable guides abound!

The shopping is so-o-o much fun! Throughout the island there are unique shops with creative items you will not find anywhere else - many of which are made by local island residents. Do not even venture into 'Pandora's Box' at Periwinkle Place, unless you have unlimited shopping time!

Each evening, a walk on the beach is "a must," as island sunsets are incredible. If you are lucky, you may even get a glimpse of the loggerhead turtles ambling out of the ocean to lay their eggs in the protected areas in the sand.

There is so much here - the ocean, sunsets, palms, shells, sand dollars, starfish, porpoises, birds, raccoons, alligators, fishing, snorkeling, windsailing, swimming, sunning, biking, canoeing, kayaking, relaxing, and g-r-e-a-t f-o-o-d! Come to Sanibel - and wake up each day in Paradise!

    Beverly, your place was great. It was everything you said it would be and more. Our whole family had a great time. We parents got a true respite and the kids had a blast as well (we parents did too). Just to give you an idea of what we saw/did: dolphins followed us in our boats wake while we went on a cruise, we saw a 7 foot alligator sitting on the side of the road as we drove through the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, collected unbelievably beautiful shells within the first 20 feet of simply strolling on the beach, remarkable sunsets, and we achieved a state akin to nirvana by being just amidst beautiful environs. (Almost forgot the swimming pool). We really did have a great time. Thanks for letting us use your space. We will cross paths again. All the best, John :-), Kathy :-), Kalina :-), and Zoe ;-)
