This condo is just perfect. Having a little apartment of our own for the week was so relaxing. Unlike a hotel, you can go "home" between activities, make something to eat, hang out on the lovely lanai or the living room and head back out again. It was nice not to have to worry about leaving our computers and things in the apartment. The big bed was super comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, and the bathroom had tons of counter space (really helpful). The food store a few blocks away was really cool, and we were able to stock up for ourselves, and enjoy many meals at home when we wanted to. The building is great- we loved the location on the quieter end of Waikiki, and being on the ocean/marina side of the building was really quiet for sleeping at night. No small thing! The views are so pretty from the lanai, I could sit there all day (but didn't). Every day we walked along the beach or the street side through Waikiki and back again, and it was a terrific place to come home to. The apartment is decorated so nicely, many of the other rental apartments are not, and Linda was amazing. From our first email she was over-the-top helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated this because we had never rented from "by owner" before, and so didn't know what to expect. She really took care of us. We don't have a single negative thing to report. Wonderful and Spacious Condo

We truly enjoyed our stay in your condo! The upgrades and decorations were so nice. The bed was very comfortable and the spacious bathroom was a delight. The view was spectacular and the sunsets were amazing! We enjoyed sitting out on the lanai so much. We had a wonderful vacation and would recommend your condo to anyone. We loved having the extra space and storage closets. Thanks so much for taking care of us and providing great information for our stay. We really appreciate it and hope to come back again in the near future.

This condo has an exceptional view. Full straight on view of the harbor, ocean, Ala Moana Beach, and coastline and mountains beyond. And of course the sunset. Plus plenty of city lights at night. The spacious lanai, thoughtfully equipped with the high table and chairs to see unimpeded over the railing, made it easy to enjoy the views day or night. The condo is beautifully remodeled, and well maintained. It felt brand new. For a compact condo (500 s.f. plus lanai) the kitchen and bathroom are surprisingly spacious. Liberal use of mirrors, plus the inviting lanai, make the space seem larger than it is. Nice layout: most condos are long and narrow to get as many units lined up for the view. Not Ilikai. The condos are squarish, so the living room and bedroom are both on the view side, which is completely floor-to ceiling windows. The condo is equipped as well as it could be, including some nice extras like beach chairs, beach bag, boogie boards, etc. The Ilikai is an old (1960's) hotel; however the common areas have, for the most part, been very nicely updated. In particular, the elevators and the tower hallways were just gorgeous! I love staying in older places that have been updated, but that still show the original style, which to me is more fun and "Hawaiian" than the new lodging places. Our only negative is the noise level on the lanai, due to street noise from Ala Moana Blvd. (it is not in front of you, it is to the right) and from the building machinery (maybe a.c. units for the hotel common areas?). But hey, this is Waikiki, not Kauai, and the noise was a minor disturbance that disappeared with the lanai door closed.

Staying in this condo is part of the reason we consider Waikiki to be a slice of Heaven! Absolutely anything needed for a great stay is available in the condo---Linda has thought of everything! The location & condition of the condo are top notch---we are already talking about our "next visit" ! The Ilikai is away from all the hustle & bustle, but a short walk puts you right in the heart of it all. The very best of both worlds. Spend your holiday here and you can't help but have a wonderful time! Mahalo to the owners for sharing their beautiful "home away from home".

Amazing stay

We stayed in Linda's condo for 12 days. Linda was very helpful and responsive from the first time we contacted her. She made our trip to Oahu very enjoyable. The condo is in great shape: very very clean, newly remodeled with incredible views. It really felt like a home away from home. We will come back to Oahu and hopefully stay in the same condo because we enjoyed our time there. We will recommend Linda's property to our friends.

Wonderful Condo

My wife and I enjoyed a glorious week in Hawaii, staying at the condo. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything inside was perfect and Linda could not have been more helpful and communicative. The view was great for breakfast on the balcony, watching the sunset, or just lazing the day away. The complex is close to everything and it is a very short walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Thoroughly recommended.

Great Accommodation With Great View

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your unit, Linda. Everything was clean and stocked with everything we needed including some good books about the island, DVD's etc. Spacious lanai, comfy bed and nice bathroom. Location is very convenient - we could walk to the beach in a couple of minutes and to the Ala Moana Shopping Centre (which has a good food court) and the bus stops directly outside the Hotel, You can jump on the free shuttle down to the main area of Waikiki but we walked it many times. Tourist type shopping is good on Kuhio Ave. The ABC stores (on nearly every corner) have everything you need from food, alchohol, souvenirs. Thanks so much again, Linda for a great base to experience Oahu. We'd love to come back and see more....one day!

One month in Waikiki

I can't begin to express how wonderful it was to stay in your condo in Waikiki. I have rented vacation properties all over the country, and yours was by far the best I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Your helpfulness before we arrived and the upscale amenities you've provided formed the basis for a wonderful stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find Egyptian Cotton towels, a fully equipped kitchen with NICE cookware and servingware - so lacking in many of my past rentals. Then you added icing by supplying basic things like dish and dishwasher soap, salt and pepper, the little things that make a difference. All of that with a wonderfullly large lanai with great sunset views, an owner that goes out of their way to be helpful, communicative and obviously wanting repeat business. I have already recommended your condo to 3 others, and it will certainly be my base when I again visit Waikiki.

We had a great time! We both fell in love with Hawaii and would love to move here some day! We spent a day at Pearl Harbor and a night at Germaine's Luau, but mostly we just relaxed and got into the Hawaiian way of life. Mahalo!

WOW! We had a fabulous 2 weeks in this delightful condo-- Along with our two pre teens, we could not have asked for a better place to hang our hat, and our bathing suit while we explored the gorgeous island and relaxed enjoying the aloha spirit. Wheels are turning to plan our return, and we can't imagine staying anywhere else. The owners have thought of everything-- from convenience to comfort to beauty, you couldn't ask for more! Linda and Dan, We can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed your lovely condo. We expected it would be nice and it was as we expected and more! We were very pleased with everything about it, the decorating, linens, dishes, cookware, etc.! Everything was perfect! We even fixed Thanksgiving dinner at the condo and enjoyed it on the lanai. One of our favorite things to do was to have breakfast on the lanai and happy hour sunset on the lanai! We were sad to pack up and leave. The month went by way too fast.
