The Unique Benefits at this Cottage

We really enjoy living in the shadow of the Lighthouse. The list of activities going on there is endless. Everything from Dark of the Moon tours to Stanley Steamer gatherings. We are Founding Light Members of the Lighthouse and Museum and our guests at the cottage are provided a free passes to enjoy the Lighthouse and Museum as our guest. We also enjoy and really take advantage of the Anastasia State Park with the Salt Run Lagoon, and the new Amphitheater. Our favorite beach is just a short walk along the Lagoon to the end where the sand dunes lead to the beach. The scenery, and bird life is world class, and the fishing is good too! We also enjoy a a walk to the Ancient City over the Bridge of Lions in the evenings. All in all the living is easy and good in St Augustine.

Owner's Map of St. Augustine

Peter and I discovered this cottage nestled in the woods in 2002. We learned that it was built by the last Lightkeeper ever stationed at the St Augustine Lighthouse. We loved the end of the road privacy and living in the shadow of the Lighthouse seems unbelievably romatic. Absolutely convinced that if peace on earth could be found we had found it. We bought it up and moved across the country to restore her and settle down to quiet small town living. We still enjoy many months of the year in St Augustine but also spend part of the year in California - earning a living. So until we retire once and for all we are happy to share our special cottage with visitors from all walks of life and from all over the world. The experience has been wonderful and we hope to share it with you! Peace on earth!

    • We had a wonderful 1st wedding anniversary at Emili's cottage in St. Augustine! The cottage was charming and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with all the different plants & flowers. We loved staying within view of the lighthouse. It was so nice to be within walking distance of it and the pier. St. Augustine has a lot of things to do, and we did a lot! The cottage was equipped with all the amenities and it was nice to have some snacks & fresh flowers when we arrived! I wish we were there now! Jill is wonderful and available whenever you need her! We will definitely go back one day! We really did enjoy the week we spent there. If you want peace & quiet, yet be close to everything, this is the place for you! We can't wait to visit again! Thank you for all your hospitality, you really have a beautiful place!

    • We were so pleased with Junie's cottage. Staying so close to the lighthouse and being able to have some of our meals on the lovely patio. My husband of course loved being able to fish so close by. The peacefulness of our time there was meaningful. While we use to go to Daytona for our get aways, now it will be back to Junie's cottage. Everything was so neat and clean. See you again soon.
