Overall this place was awesome. The location was great, and also the ability to visit the lighthouse for free was definitely a big perk. It was also right near the St Augustine Yacht Club, a great place for launching boats. The biggest concern is if you are subject to allergies, the mustiness of the accommodations may be a deterrent. A new floor would probably do wonders. Also to be noted, this is a lower level duplex with the other half above, so sometimes the neighbors can be heard. Overall a great place though!

Two friends and I stayed at the cottage and enjoyed ourselves very much. The location was great - just across the Bridge of Lions from downtown St. Augustine - and very close to a favorite restaurant, The Conch House. There were plenty of pans and dishes to cook a meal though there is not a dishwasher. Luckily we all shared the dish washing responsibility. All in all it was a wonderful stay!

My husband, myself and our daughter decided to stay here to celebrate Christmas. Growing up in Jacksonville, we always love to come to St. Augustine - it's a wonderful little town. We have rented through VRBO many times before and have never had any problems. The pictures are very true but I just want to make others aware of the term "cottage." I envisioned a cute little stand alone cottage like I have been used to when I hear the term "old Florida." This is actually a two story house with this rental on the bottom floor. When we arrived the first night, the renters children upstaris literally ran the entire night until 1:45 in the morning. When I e-mailed the owners, she did contact the renter and they promised to be quieter. The second night, the noise finally stopped at 12:30. The 3rd night, they were a little quieter and calmed down at midnight but then one of the kids started crying about 2 in the morning and they let them cry for 45 minutes. We didn't get any restful sleep the entire 3 nights we were there. While it isn't the owners fault the upstairs renters were noisy, it would have been nice for the owners to contact us again to see if things were better. This is a wonderful little place to stay but if there are people renting above you, be prepared for not getting much sleep because you can hear them walking, talking, playing music, etc. Despite our lack of sleep, we did have a wonderful vacation because we love St. Augustine and wasn't going to let this spoil our vacation!

We arrived around 4:30 p.m. (local time), and were just charmed by this neatness of this little cottage as soon as we walked in. It's very private, cozy, and everything was neat as a pin. We had absolutely everything we needed at our fingertips. And Wi-Fi was a snap there - no problems with getting on the internet at all. The yard was landscaped so nicely - the lemon & orange tree loaded with fruit - and all the tropical foliage made us feel like we were in a well-kept rain forest. We spent a lot of time out there sitting in the adirondak chairs. We walked around the neighborhood on two separate evenings after dinner, and were just amazed at how quiet it was out there. It's centrally located to the main part of town, but a quick trip in the other direction takes you to the beaches. PERFECT locale. We totally enjoyed our stay, and extend our warmest appreciation to Emili and Jill for making our stay so nice and allowing us to stay in this adorable cottage. We will most definitely stay there again and will recommend it to our friends and family when they head that way for a visit. FABULOUS vacation!! Thank you, Emili and Jill, so so much. :-)

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in October to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We've rented through VRBO before and have also visited St. Augustine previously. St. Augustine was wonderful as usual and this cottage was a great location, very close to the Lighthouse and the State Park. We walked and rode our bikes all over, but drove into town most nights for dinner. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed in this cottage. The furnishings and decor were a bit out-of-date and looking rather shabby, but the biggest concern was that it was not clean. There were cobwebs in the doorways, on the door frames, in the corners and on the lamps. There was black dirt on the floor in the kitchen and on the bathroom countertop and dead bugs and debris on the living room windowsill. I'm not sure whether the air conditioner unit was working correctly, but it was difficult to get any air movement or cooling into the bedrooms or bathroom. In my opinion, a little updating and a very good cleaning would make this a beautiful little place to stay.

We spent nearly a week at this cottage and found it to be incredibly spacious, clean, well stocked. The private front yard is lovely. It was a lovely neighborhood to walk our dogs! Thank you. We enjoyed the restaurant (Cab) very much and everything about St. Augustine. The pics were realistic. Very comfortable accommodations. Easy location to get around the area.

This cozy cottage was a great refuge when visiting friends for the holiday. I was able to bring my pets with me and enjoy the quiet setting while my pets had a safe, fenced in area to play. The cottage was clean and well kept. I enjoyed walking my pets in the neighborhood. My friends were very impressed by the location and the accommodations.

This place will always be part of my memories. The cottage is so nicely decorated and furnished to make guests very comfortable. My boyfriend rented this for our vacation because I love lighthouses and have never been to the top of one. On my first trip to the top he proposed. For this and many other reasons I will cherish my stay at the cottage. You could come in after a long day sightseeing and sink into the comfy couch or one of the chairs. It was very close to everything that we wanted to see and easy to get to and from. Great memories to be made here.

Thank you for such an awesome stay at Junie's Cottage! The cottage was cuter than even the pictures depicted, clean and cozy, but spacious as well. We love the wall of windows overlooking the private backyard from the living area. In the sunroom under the ceiling fan was the perfect place for eating lunch during the heat of the day, but dinner always took place al fresco on the patio overlooking the tropical paradise in the backyard. We had the pleasure of meeting Emili, the owner, who catered to our every need, including restaurant recommendations, although we decided to cook our own seafood in the well furnished cottage kitchen. The history surrounding St. Augustine is incredible and there is so much to see and do. Sights not to miss - St. Augustine Lighthouse, Castillo de San Marcos, the shops, waterfront and historical buildings and sites of Old Town St. Augustine. Another must do are the beaches of Mantanzas State Park. If you like to fish, try the pier at the marina across from the lighthouse, and the bridge spanning the inlet at the end of Mantanzas State Park (we got that information from a local fisherman)! We can't wait to visit again.

MY WIFE AND I STAYED AT JUNIES LIGHTHOUSE COTTAGE JUNE 11TH . IT WAS A GREAT CLEAN PLACE TO SET UP FOR THE WEEK. CLOSE TO EVERYTHING IN ST AUGUSTINE AND JUST A DAY TRIP TO SPACE COAST AND DAYTONA BEACH . FISHING I WALKED TO EACH MORNING AND WATCHED THE SUN COME UP OVER THE OCEAN AND OBSERVE THE LIGHTHOUSE LIGHT EARLY MORNING. I CAUGHT AND RELEASED SEVERAL FISH. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A COZY COOL PLACE THIS IS IT

My family and i spent a wonderful week in Junie's Light Keeper's cottage Aprils 17th to 24th. The place was complete and had everything in place to make us comfortable. (The hammock was a great touch!) My children (15 & 16) rented bikes across from Ripley's for the week for $40 and they went everywhere they wanted with them. The nearby skate park (we got skateboarders) was free and really nice. I love to fish and greeted the sunrise daily on the lighthouse pier (free) and caught my share of bluefish, whiting, ocean catfish, spots and croakers. Air conditioned comfort made sleeping nice on the hot nights, and the breeze in the Florida room was well enjoyed. We were across the street from the Alligator farm, 2 miles from the public beach, and 10 miles from the National Seashore beaches at Matazanas, which became ourt favorite place to go, walk the beach, collect shells and surf fish the inlet at the south end of the park by the bridge. The kitchen was complete, with everything needed to cook in and save a few dollars. A short drive to the Super Walmart took care of our food needs. St. Augustine has so much to offer, things to do places to explore. I would recommend this vacation get-away to everyyone. I have rented several cottages in many locations (1000 Islands, Lake Ontario, Cape Cod) Beyond a doubt this was the best place we have ever been! Thank You Emily for everything! We hope to come back again someday!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Our stay in Junie's cottage was so wonderful (in spite of the cooler than usual weather) it was so cozy and clean. The location convenient and quiet, we come to St. Augustine every year and have stayed on the beach side and in the historic city, but this is by far the best spot in St. Augustine. I guess thats why they built the beautiful lighthouse there. We will be back.

We had a wonderful 1st wedding anniversary at Emili's cottage in St. Augustine! The cottage was charming and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with all the different plants & flowers. We loved staying within view of the lighthouse. It was so nice to be within walking distance of it and the pier. St. Augustine has a lot of things to do, and we did a lot! The cottage was equipped with all the amenities and it was nice to have some snacks & fresh flowers when we arrived! I wish we were there now! Jill is wonderful and available whenever you need her! We will definitely go back one day! We really did enjoy the week we spent there. If you want peace & quiet, yet be close to everything, this is the place for you! We can't wait to visit again! Thank you for all your hospitality, you really have a beautiful place!

We were so pleased with Junie's cottage. Staying so close to the lighthouse and being able to have some of our meals on the lovely patio. My husband of course loved being able to fish so close by. The peacefulness of our time there was meaningful. While we use to go to Daytona for our get aways, now it will be back to Junie's cottage. Everything was so neat and clean. See you again soon.
