This beautiful home is newly constructed with three bedrooms, three baths, four decks, and a three stall garage. This home is custom built, featuring a full kitchen with natural maple woodwork and an island/snack bar area. The master suite has douglas fir woodwork, spiral staircase to a loft with a lake view, upper deck accessed by atrium doors from two bedrooms, full bath with whirlpool, and a walk-in closet.
Newly furnished, this home features contemporary appliances and furniture. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and the dining area has a beautiful view of the lake. There are two queen-size beds, one double bed, a bunk bed, and a convertible full-size futon. In addition, there is a comfortable living room area with television for indoor games and movies.
This home is situated on Sybil Lake, the clearest lake in Ottertail County. There is 150 feet of shoreline on this property, and the lake is easy to access. The lake has a hard sand bottom, boasts two natural beaches, and is excellent for swimming, boating, and fishing. In addition, there is a large grassy lawn with mature trees and a fire pit. Also, Maplewood State Park is a short fifteen minute drive, where there is access to hiking trails.
This rental is located several minutes from Vergas, Minnesota. Vergas is a small, rural town with several restaurants and antique shops. There are also numerous local festivals throughout the year.

Steve and Jackie Eichmiller were drawn to Vergas, Minnesota by family history. August Eichmiller, Steve's grandfather, was one of the original settlers of the town. Having vacationed every year in the area, they grew to love its serene beauty. This is where they established their business "August Retreats" to offer you the same experience.

Our family of seven truly enjoyed our carefree week at the lake. The hosts are very helpful and accomodating, the home is incredibly clean and spacious, and the lake is refreshing, clear and quiet. We feel fortunate to have found the perfect "August Retreat."

House was great! I've been renting cabins all over the state for about 10 years and was very impressed with the property. The owners had taken care of many details that you won't normally find in other rentals. There were two huge decks on the cabin along with a dock that should be considered a third deck with it's naturaly setting and bar stools on the way to the water. The lake was warm, clear and gorgeuos with fantastic views from the house. Everything was very clean and organized. Thanks to the Eichmillers for making our stay great!
