Casita Felicidad is a brand new 1200 square foot cottage located just 20 minutes north of the San Jose airport and 30 minutes from San Jose. It's the perfect place to start or finish your Costa Rica vacation or base to explore, featuring great views of the central valley with mountains in the distance and the lights of San Jose at night.
Casita Felicidad is safely located within a gated community with 24 hour security at the Vista del Valle Hotel (see their website), just a five minute walk down the private road, with two beautiful restaurants, bars, pool, and hot tub. Thus, this is not just a cottage rental in the central valley, but a rental within a starred hotel facility with all amenities available, including great birding and a butterfly farm and stables on premises!
National Geographic has called the weather in the central valley "one of the three best climates in the world", with low humidity, sunny daily temperatures in the low 80's, and nightly temperatures dropping to 60 degrees (great sleeping weather!) all year. A/C is not necessary, with ceiling fans in every room and sliding glass/screened doors opening from living room and bedroom to a wraparound covered porch with rockers and hammock. Enjoy horseback riding, hike through the beautiful gardens to the 300' waterfall on premise, explore the surrounding sights or take a tour (a driver or rental car can be provided through the hotel), or just relax on the porch and enjoy the view and birdsong!
