Clean, well equiped, affordable, all main surf beaches are very close, 2 bikes available, housekeeper very friendly and efficient. The inside of the house is dark, but not a problem as we were usually outside during the day. The Kamehameha highway in front of the house is very crowded and noisy, but as anywhere along this road.

I thought your unit was great. Right across the street from the beach and close to a grocery store. Everything we needed was there. I would recommend this to any of my friends. There was some noise from the upstairs neighbors but nothing we couldn't live with.

Shark's Cove Hideaway was perfect for me and my wife. It has all the amenities to cook (when you wanted to cook) and catering trucks just up the road (for when you don't). By the way, the food from the trucks ranged from good to very good. We enjoyed the convenience of the grocery store & Starbucks one block away. Every night we walked to Shark's Cove to watch the sunset. We even spotted whales swimming by in the distance. Sunset Beach is about 1.5 mile up the road (or bike path) where they had a Junior Pro surfing competition that we watched while getting a little sun. This is the perfect location to stay on Oahu's Northshore!

We had a wonderful time at sharks Cove! Very clean and nice. Everything you could want is available for your convenience. Then across the street is Sharks Cove for excellent snorkeling. By the way snorkeling gear is provided with the rental and bikes. There is a great bike trail across the street to enjoy for miles along the beach and nice houses to look at along the way too. Mostly flat riding. So nice to have free wireless. BIG plus! Can't beat it for the price. We have stayed at the Hilton and received much less and were charged far more. Thanks for everything! We loved it. Recommended to any one who wants a laid back get away.

The Shark's Cove Hideaway is directly across the street from the ocean...step out your door and watch the sunset! It is in the middle of all the great surf breaks on the north shore and right on the bike path so you can ride to all the different beaches. The bikes provided are in good shape - they also provide beach towels and everything you need (even a washer/dryer). Jack, the caretaker, was a funny guy who lives in the tree house out back but we didn't see him much. We got there, let ourselves in - all the information was provided beforehand with where we were going and how to get in that it made it very easy. The unit is kind of underneath the main house in the back so it is a bit dark back there. Bed was pretty comfortable, living room decor was suitable for a beach house, shower was small but all in all, it was all we needed. After all, we were there to surf and be outside, not hanging out in the room.

Shark's Cove Hideaway is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the experience of Hawaii. I highly recommend it for getting away from the traffic of the city. People were surfing all up and down the North Shore which made for fun watching. The best food we tried was the shaved ice. I could eat those things everyday!! Next time I think we will rent the top portion of the house for the deck view. Loved Loved Loved this place!

I loved the cottage. I hope you will put in a bar by the stool as I had problems getting up off the stool. I had taken a severe fall the week before we arrived. My husband and I are anxious to return to stay in your home and further explore your islands. I had many wonderful Hawaiians help me while visiting the North Shore and Oahu.

The Shark's Cove Hideaway in Pupukea provided everything we were looking for in a home away from home. We were far enough from the hustle and bustle to enjoy a relaxing vacation and close enough to Haleiwa (even closer to Foodland!) to experience the conveniences we needed whenever we wanted them. The unit is charming and well-appointed. Ted's Bakery is a bike ride away for delicious chocolate haupia cream pie and lunch. Any beach you happen upon within a 5 mile radius is stunning beyond belief. As a mainlander with Oahu roots, I wanted a non-Honolulu getaway. This is the place. I am already looking at booking my return. Mahalo nui loa to Jack, Michelle and David for this beautiful opportunity.

Our stay here was absolutely amazing! A stones throw from the ocean on the North Shore, the waves and whitewall were stunning (20 - 40ft). A short jaunt up the road the the famous Ted's Bakery (yummmmm!). My wife and I have made a pact to come back every couple of years.... everything about this place said: "tropical getaway". Next time, though, we will try to get the treehouse for the view. Overall, excellent place to stay! Tip to first time islanders: travel up to Turtle Bay Resort and rent a couple of scooters for few days, you'll definitely enjoy it!

I had a wonderful time at this Shark's Cove Cottage. It was tucked away under the main entrance to the house so had tons of privacy. The North Shore of Oahu is much quieter than the commonly visited Waikiki but was a great start to my stay. There are many beaches to access with the provided bike however I found myself walking quite a bit (Shark's Cove literally across the street). The beaches were very accessible and being there in the winter months were also very exciting with the waves. There is one grocery store, Starbucks, and several food trucks in walking distance so I felt like I had all I need. The unit was comfortable with a seperate living area and full kitchen to prepare meals. I will stay here again in my next visit. Mahalo!

I stayed at this property in December during the banzai pipemasters surf competition (aka. the busiest time to visit the north shore). Overall experience was very good. You will not find a better location. It is directly across the street from sharks cove, which is an enormous wading pool loaded with tropical fish. Perfect for snorkling, children/infants, or just wading around in the water without the fear of the rough ocean. Even on the huge surf days where the waves were monsters on the north shore, Sharks Cove is well guarded by rocks and was quite peaceful and calm. Walking distance to Foodland and a few places to eat. The downstairs portion of the house is small and dark. It has windows but not much light makes it in since it sits below the deck to the upper residence. It's cozy and perfect for 2 adults, but probably not recommended if you have children or infants since there is no highchair, stroller or enough room for kids to play indoors. We had an issue with ants on the counter tops, and the house is in desperate need of a remodel, it is showing its age everywhere. Shower goes from hot/cold and back nonstop, which is annoying. Some of the fixtures are falling off the walls. Nonetheless it was comfortable and by far the cheapest place you will find on the north shore with this great of a location. It is situated between Waimea bay and some of the other beaches (sunset, bonzai pipeline etc). They have new beach cruiser bikes too which were really nice to ride to the store or on the long bike path through the town. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for an amazing location for a bargain.

Place is clean, quiet, well shaded from sun for late morning wake ups, and has all the cooking utensils we need. Love being close enough to walk to a large supermarket, but not being right next door. Bicycles are very useful with the beach trail right across the street. This was our second stay. We will always stay here when coming to North Shore.

My daughter and I had the best vacation. So glad we stayed on the North Shore my daughter didn't care for the big city, so I'm glad we did'nt stay there. But had alot of fun on the $20 caterman ride out of Duke's. 9 days is to short to see and do every thing. Next time hope to stay longer.

We had a wonderful time on the North Shore of Oahu. The location of the property is hard to beat. We chose this part of the island because we wanted to relax and enjoy the beaches and quiet relaxed vibe that goes along with the North Shore. If you want to get away from the traffic and actually feel like you are on a tropical island go here! Shark's Cove is the best snorkeling I have ever experienced and it was great to have the snorkeling gear provided with the rental. Actually the snorkel gear was only the tip of the iceberg of beach must haves provided-Ice chests, beach towels, beach chairs and mats, umbrellas, beach cruiser bikes (the best way to get around) and it really makes a difference having those things provided for you rather than renting/buying them yourself. I would recommend the rental for couples. It was just the right size for the two of us.

Shark's Cove Hideaway was the perfect place to spend a nice quiet week away from the hustle and bustle of the City for the two of us. We loved the location since it was a short walk to both Sunset Beach to the north and Three Tables to the south, not to mention Shark's Cove right across the street. We can't wait to schedule another trip to the North Shore.

Couldn't have been more perfecter: a cozy, clean and cute place to call home; bike rides up the trail to Sunset Beach and garlic shrimp at Ted's Bakery; snorkeling across the street in the fish-full tide pools; sunsets over the Pacific; the constant scent of plumeria wafting through the front yard; good-luck geckos greeting us at the door; smiles and kindness wherever we wandered. We felt like locals.

What a great place to stay! The location could not have been better for our 10 year anniversary Hawaii getaway. The Hideaway was clean and nice and had everything we needed with extras including the snorkeling gear and bicycles. The kitchen is fully equiped and we saved $$ by making our food. We LOVED snorkeling at Shark's Cove right across the street, bicycle rides in the morning on the path along the ocean, Garlic Schrimp at Ted's Bakery, and all the North Shore beaches. Mahalo!

If you want to visit the North Shore... this is the place!! I stayed with my three daughters for 9 nights and they loved it. Walking distance to beautiful Waimea Bay, perfect for swimming in the summer. Shark´s Cove, just across the street, has excellent snorkeling. Foodland... also within walking distance. The house is cosy, clean and quiet. I recommend it! I hope we´ll be back to Oahu and then we definitely want to stay here.

My husband and I took our 8 year old grandson to Hawaii for a summer vacation. We could not have picked a more perfect place than Shark's Cove Hideaway for him to know the meaning of Aloha. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The beaches are beautiful and scenic. We enjoyed riding the bicycles along the lovely bike trails to and from the beaches. My grandson enjoyed snorkling everyday. Shark's Cove Hideaway was clean and comfortable and met our every need. It was the best! We hope to return someday. Mary and Zeke Guzman Porter,Texas

I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. This place is very reasonably priced with a great location. The bikes, snorkeling gear, and the kitchen sure did save us money, and it was an extra bonus to have the beach chairs, towels, umbrella and coolers on hand to take to the beach. We loved the laid back North Shore areas and the accommodations truly made us feel like we were on vacation with the conveniences of home. Oh, and the snorkeling at Sharks Cove was the best!!! We were able to go out on a small day and snorkel with a sea turtle!! That was really awesome!! I would recommend Ted’s Bakery and Matsumotos Shaved Ice in Haleiwa any day. I can’t wait to come back!!

We loved the Hideaway. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy the North Shore. Ted's Bakery and the Banzai pipeline are only a 10-15 minute bike ride. You can walk to the grocery store and to Shark's Cove. The exterior of the unit is rustic like most of the North Shore. The interior of the unit is clean and well maintained. Fairly new kitchen and bathroom. Perfect for a couple. It would be a little tight for more than two people. The cleaning woman who looks after the place is lovely and friendly. Michelle followed through on returning the security deposit in a timely manner. We will definitely stay at the Hideaway again on a future trip to the North Shore.

What a find! We loved this little place tucked away just across from Shark's Cove. We watched an amazing sunset and enjoyed riding the bikes up the North Shore for lunch and to starbucks in the morning for coffee. It's all the extras that make this place so great -- stuff for the beach, fully stocked kitchen, internet, etc.! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place.

Location Location Location! This lovely hideaway is situated in the perfect area to get the best out of the north shore. The bikes provided are new and the perfect way to investigate the shore path that leads you to some of the finest beaches on the island. The hideaway is perfectly clean and "homey" The living room is quite spacious and the perfect place to plan your island adventures. Save your money and take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. Foodland is just up the street and open until 11pm. The owner is even thoughtful enough to leave a Foodland discount card. Every detail has been taken care of to make your vacation a success: snorkel equipment, large and thirsty beach towels, a comfy bed and free laundry. This place definitely felt like a home away from home. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to friends. Oh, and no need to worry about the deposit, mine was returned promptly.

Our recent stay at Sharks Cove was absolutely delightful! The facility is well equipped, clean and centrally located to major beaches on the North Shore. The use of the bike/walking trail provides a nice way to see the beaches between Waimea and Sunset Beach. We are already planning to return next year. The North Shore is a nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, or in our case, a nice addition. We spent time in both areas and enjoyed the the peaceful North Shore, not to mention the exquisite snorkeling in Sharks Cove. Mahalo for such a delightful vacation home! Gena and Larry
