This rental was clean and comfortable. It's location is central. The owner was accommodating and easy to work with. Overall an excellent experience and a great value.

I stayed in the guest house for two and a half months in early 2011, from February to mid-April. I loved the safety and security of the property. Of note was the nice washing machine and dryer in the laundry downstairs. Coronado is a gorgeous little enclave and I enjoyed buying a bike from Hollands and was able to safely store it in the flats enclosed pathway before the front door. I sometimes worked from the flat and appreciated wireless internet ... I also liked the ambience at nice from the lamps scattered around. There were lots of towels and sheets which was nice.

Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This was my first experience with Vacation Rental By Owner, and I was in a unique situation as a single gal looking for a place to stay on Coronado Island. This rental could not have been more perfect! As I searched around for places to stay, many of the reviews of the hotels that were located on the main strip (Orange St.) mentioned how busy and noisy it was. Not the case with this apartment. Situated on a neighborhood street, it was quiet, peaceful, and serene - perfect for a girl retreat. For a weekly rental it was cheaper than a similar room with a kitchenette in the cheapest hotel, and it had a "home-away-from-home" feeling besides. The island was fabulous; perfect for bike riding or walking everywhere. The island had such a low-key, laid-back, small-town feel - it was wonderful! Also located so close to San Diego and its attractions made for an easy rental car drive. I would highly recommend this rental to any single individual, couple, or small group of ladies who are looking for a superb place to stay on an island that is an absolute gem!

We stayed here with our toddler and it was the perfect location! We loved the feel of the neighborhood and its proximity to the beach and restaurants. We'd recommend it and would love to return!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood is a nice, quiet residential area within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. The apartment had many features of home, allowing for a comfortable stay. Coronado was the perfect location with the vacation feel of an island and easy accessibility to the city of San Diego. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Casandra, thank you for a wonderful little place in a select piece of paradise! Comfortable, clean & close to the beach. San Diego has lots to see 7 do...the Zoo, Balboa Park, Gaslamp District, & Seaport Village to name a few but none is as special as the Coronado beach and the people of the community. We will be back again...

Our first time using vrbo, so a little nervous about how everything would turn out since we were relying on photos. A fantastic vacation apartment, pleasantly surprised. Stayed 3 days--too short. Perfect for us: a couple w/22-month old boy (bring a child gate). Thoughtfully decorated/designed, clean, great light, airy with ceiling fans in each room and good cross current. Private, quiet, relaxing. Owners very accessible and gracious, yet unobtrusive. Gorgeous & huge beach 4 blocks away. Centrally located to so many SD attractions, i.e. downtown, zoo, Balboa Park, Wild Animal Park, etc. Great value. Highly recommended. (Apartment is located behind house in a nice residential neighborhood).

My husband and I loved the apartment and our stay. The apartment has a great location close to everything. Beautiful quiet neighborhood, private entrance. Very clean everything was new and nicely decorated. Great place to stay we would definitely come back!

Staying in your unit was a pleasure. We enjoyed the bottle of wine and fresh flowers upon check in. Everything was first class and the island was a treat. We originally wanted to have a place with an ocean view, but didn't mind not having it since it was a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness taking long walks on the beach and collecting sand dollars. The next time we are in the area we will contact you to stay in the Beach Cottage again.

The central location of this suite made it ideal for our stay in San Diego. We could walk to restaurants or the beaches of Coronado. Some days we hopped on a bus or a ferry to downtown San Diego and Balboa Park. The Coronado area is great with all its expensive and funky little houses. The suite itself is very comfortable and offered everything we required including a full kitchen. Would recommend to our friends.
