With 5 bedrooms, and two fireplaces, an airy living living room, dining room and wonderful screened porch, the house commands fabulous views of Squam Lake, White Oak Pond, the Rattlesnake mountains, the Squam range, Mt. Chocorua, and Red Hill. Red clay tennis court on property dates back to the 1920s. Access to a beach and swimming area on Squam lake a three minute drive from the house. Swimming area shared by handful of other houses on Shepherd Hill, but never particularly crowded. Great for kids. Terrific boating and fishing on Squam. Nearby marina and boat rental opportunities. Great hiking in the area, and the Whites are only an hour away. Challenging running up and down New Hampshire's hilly terrain. Good restaurants in Meredith, Holderness, Ashland, and Plymouth. Amusement parks, mini golf etc. in Laconia. Golf nearby. Science center in Holderness has great exhibits and programs for kids and adults.
