We have the perfect 3/4 acre cul-de-sac location just off I-5 in South Oceanside and minutes to downtown Carlsbad Village! We are centrally located with short drive times to the San Diego Wild Animal Park (30 minutes), Legoland (8 minutes), San Diego Zoo (35 minutes), Sea World (30 minutes), Disneyland (45 minutes), and Knotts Berry Farm (55 minutes)! Have an RV? Park it in our long driveway and hook up! We’re close to everything you could need on vacation. Walk to restaurants, grocery store, and shopping. The Pacific Ocean is only one mile away! Walk, drive or bike--we have two adult bikes and two children’s bikes for your use! We also offer six beach chairs, four Boogie boards, a cooler, and lots of beach towels for a fun day at the beach!

But who needs the beach when you have a backyard like this to hang out in? Custom putting green, gigantic grassy play area for kids with double tower play fort, swings and trampoline! Tropical pool with 10-foot Shamu shelf, waterfalls and hotel-sized Jacuzzi, and it's gated so your little ones will be safe! Chaise lounges and umbrellas for your sunbathing pleasure! Outdoor living room with huge gas fireplace, cable TV, comfortable sofa, chairs and luxurious dining table/area for 10+ guests overlooking pool make this an entertainer's delight! If that's not enough, enjoy cooking your meals in the outdoor kitchen equipped with top-of-the-line gas barbecue, two side burners, sink/wet bar, refrigerator and lots of prep space! Your family will never forget this vacation!

Our two-story house offers 3,000 square feet of living space with hardwood floors, maple cabinetry and an open floor plan perfect for any family. The home features five beautifully appointed bedrooms and three bathrooms. Each room has been decorated with a theme to make your trip a true adventure! On the second floor, the Pirate and Princess rooms offer two twin beds each, the Aloha Room has a double bed, and these rooms share a spacious bathroon with double sink and separate toilet and shower/tub. Also, on the second floor, the Master Suite has a luxurious cal-king bed, and adjoining bathroom with jacuzzi tub! The room with the queen bed is on the first floor with a bathroom close by. Each room offers a TV and walk-in closet!

The gourmet kitchen includes all the utensils, cookware and place settings needed for 12 people. Our family-sized breakfast "nook" seats 8 comfortably and overlooks the lushly landscaped backyard! Family room has an entertainment center featuring a 50-inch plasma screen mounted over the fireplace, with digital cable, HDTV, DVD, VCR and surround sound stereo, and comfy denim sofas and chairs for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing or surfing! We offer wireless internet connection and unlimited local and long distance calls within the US.

HOW FAR TO BEACH? 1 mile to Cassidy Street Beach! You can walk or drive directly west to the public access at Cassidy Street. Cassidy street is the nearest cross street to Casa de Allegra! This is a wonderful beach for families, no rocks - plenty of sand and lots of public parking! Oceanside Pier and Carlsbad Beaches are about 2 miles away.

WHAT GOLF COURSES ARE CLOSE BY? Four Season Aviara Resort Golf Club - 10 minutes, The Crossings at Carlsbad - 10 minutes, Encinitas Ranch Golf Club - 15 minutes, La Costa Resort - 15 minutes, Torrey Pines Golf Course - 30 minutes!

HOW FAR TO GROCERY STORE? Just 6 houses down the street there is a private fire lane which provides pedestrian access to a shopping center which includes Stater Brothers, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Cost Plus, Sports Authority and more!

VRBO Bear stayed here - 10/29/2007 I decided to take a trip to San Diego, and boy am I glad I did! Our accommodations in Oceanside were outstanding. When we first arrived, we were treated to a grand tour – upon entering through the wrought iron gate, we were soothed with the sounds of the three tiered cascading fountain. The home was a delight, with a princess bedroom, pirate bedroom, Hawaiian bedroom and a most romantic master retreat, each complete with flat screen TVs. I appreciated the bright, happy colors throughout the house – no bland, boring hotel-type décor or cramped space but so much more than we imagined!

Out back was a full BBQ, a large, cozy fireplace and plenty of chairs for lounging. The cubbies enjoyed the pool and waterfall while I took advantage of the relaxing hot tub. When the cubs weren’t in the pool, they were jumping on the trampoline or playing on the swing set. There was so much space to play, even a putting green.

The beach was a only a mile away, and Disneyland was just an hour. We decided to visit the park during the week when lines were short. But best of all was coming back to relax and enjoy this exceptional home where everything you need is provided, from beach towels, boogie boards and bikes to the most comfortable pillow top beds. Our host even provides a special treat for all her guests. (Thank you, Carrie, for anticipating everything this furry guest and his cubs could need!)

  • Our family, ranging from 3 to 92 had a wonderful time in this amazing house. It was even nicer than depicted in the pictures. Everyothing anyone could want was provided. As the 6 year old said, "This house is awesome!" The house and grounds were immaculate. The kids, of course, loved the back yard, the princess room, the pirate room, all the games and movies provided and the bikes. The 92 year old enjoyed watching the children have fun without having to entertain them. After sending our friends pictures of our vacation, several asked what resort we went to. It is more than a house, it is an experience! One can tell the Wilhites care about their guests, providing only the very best. We hope this won't be our last time there.

We loved the pool, loved cooking out and especially loved sitting in front of the outdoor fireplace late at night after the kids had been put to bed.   • Wow! What a great house!! We were amazed from the minuet we pulled into the drive way. The house was beautiful from the inside out! Very, very clean and well kept! Beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable as the house was very welcoming! The back yard is paradise. The kids never wanted to leave the house! There were 2 families in our group. 8 people total and we were very comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone! I would highly recommend this house!! We hope to return soon!

Though we enjoyed many activities, the house was a tremendous place for our family and offered something for the 18 month old to the 12 year old to the young at heart.   • We had the most amazing family vacation at Casa de Allegra. We flew in from Michigan, Canada, and New Zealand. The five kids, 4 and under loved everything about the house. It was hard to get them to leave to go and explore what the surrounding area had to offer! The play area under the stairs, the pool, trampoline, play house, slide, and swings, etc, kept them entertained for hours. The owners really have thought of everything to make your stay a vacation to remember. Thank you!
