WALK TO THE BEACH.
Come and enjoy our vacation rental short walk from a protected and private beach on the Delaware Bay. Spectacular views stretch from all sides of this modern beach house. Bay views to the east and Primehook Wildlife Sanctuary on the west.
The first floor has a full bathroom, additional private queen bedroom and large family/game room. A stacked washer and dryer is located on this level.
The second floor of this three-level house includes fully stocked modern kitchen with granite counters and brand new stainless steel appliances. This opens to a large dining room for family and friends to enjoy. French Doors open onto an outdoor screened in Porch for dining al fresco. A light and airy living room also leads to an oversized deck with views of Prime Hook and the natural setting that surrounds the home. You can step out through the French doors onto the private deck from the living room, to enjoy outdoor lounging and dining, both day and night. Additionally, a full bath and Queen bedroom is on this level.
The third floor offers 2 additional bedrooms. There is one bedroom with deck and access to beautiful bay views. The second bedroom on this level offers beautiful, unobstructed sunset views of the Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge.
This area offers an open view of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean, looking past the tip of Cape Henlopen. The property is ten miles to Lewes Delaware to ferry accessing Cape May, New Jersey and twelve miles to Rehoboth and Dewey Beach.
There are three television sets that have access to Cable and there is central air conditioning.
There is an outside shower and plenty off-street parking. If you want to keep in touch with the world we have free wireless internet and free local and long distance services.
We will consider pets on a case-by-case basis, however, an extra security deposit or charge may be required. No smoking is allowed on the premises.
Portable crib and high chair are available for your use.
Large Beautiful yard for bocce, relaxing or enjoy your privacy.

This home was quite a beautiful place to stay for our week's vacation. It is definitely off the beaten path, but yet only about a 15-20 minute drive to Lewes or Rehobeth Beach and many other area attractions along Coastal Hwy. The beach is somewhat secluded and only about a two minute walk away. For those who enjoy a degree of privacy, peace, quiet and friendly people I highly recommend it. Also, if your a dog owner, definitely bring them along, the area and house are very pet friendly. My dogs went into hibernation for two days after we got back, they were exhausted from having too good a time.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

We were alittle disappointed. Beach was further than 100 yds. away. House wasn't real clean, food left in cupboards that was open and left from last people that we had to clean up and throw away. Air conditioner stopped working in 90 degree weather.
Owner response:I received the call passed 5 :PM thursday evening as soon as I received the call that the air conditioning stopped working within the same minute I called the air conditioning company, the answering service took the info from me because the company was closed. Within 15 minutes I called my guest leting them know that I called the A/C and as soon as I get the feed back I would let them know. My guest called me back asking if I have done something about it and told them yes but feeling that they did not believe me I gave them the telephone number of the A/C company to check for themselves. Finaly the company called me to let me know that we were the 7th on the waiting list and let my guest aware of the status. the air conditioning was fixed the next morning. The cleaning crew does clean the house empties the refrigerator, freezer but did not check the cabinets they assume that the past guest would take their food with them. The new cleaning procedure would include the checking of all cabinets. The distance to the beach is approximate, it may be 110 yards I would personaly measure the distance and update the listing.

This place is terrific -- peaceful and quiet in a friendly neighborhood! Our dog even loved it. A short walk to an amazingly private beach – on a sunny Sunday in July, we were the only ones there for hours. Bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor gave us adequate privacy. Kitchen is well supplied. Nice home and great, quiet location. Wonderful, close beach. The home was dog friendly and so was the area. Excellent restaurant in Lewes, called Gilligan's that welcomes well-behaved dogs for outside dining. Thanks for a few days of true rest and relaxation!

Beautiful house with great amenities, roomy and comfortable, in a peaceful setting away from it all. Great for a large family, even for two families to settle down with each their own space. Beach is close, and very quiet, almost feels like you have the whole beach to yourself! Swimming on the Bay is safe, perfect for young children, though the water will not be as clear as on the ocean. Away from the hustle and bustle of Rehoboth, yet close enough (short car ride) to benefit from the shopping and dining, or for an excursion to the ocean beaches. Outlet shopping is great! Ocean beaches are nice, but be aware that Rehoboth can get awfully busy, and the main road leading to the beach can get seriously jammed. Dewey Beach is more accessible, but you should stay in peaceful Broadkill Beach on the weekend! Makes for a wonderfully quiet vacation when you need a break.
