ABOUT THE CABIN: Enjoy all the comforts of home in our newly built 852 sq. ft. cabin. Surrounded by pine and aspen trees with spectacular 360 degree views. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all open and airy. Great gathering area. Master bedroom features a queen bed, night stands and dresser. The second bedroom has a bunkbed set and dressers. The entire house is decorated in the Colorado woodsy decor.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, utensils, pans and dishes. There is also a propane grill on the back deck for your outdoor grilling. Also a full size washer and dryer.

Why the Owner Chose Divide
I decided to buy this house because of the view. This area is rich in mining history. It is surounded by public lands. Dome Rock Wildlife area to the SW is a refuge to thousands of elk and big horn sheep. The summit of Pikes Peak is approx 8 miles to NE where America the Beautiful was written. Muller State Park is about 3 Miles north and has miles of hiking trails.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
There are all kinds of wildlife that visit the cabin. I have hung birdfeeders throughout the property, and there is a soothing buzz of hummingbirds zooming around. The house is set up to meet the needs of a honeymooning couple, or to accommodate a family up to 6. The central location of the house in the Pikes Peak Region means you are close to every activity. White Water Rafting is 1-1/2 hour away. High stakes gambling is 15 minutes away. The big city of Colorado Springs is about 45 minutes Away. Woodland Park has a Golf course at 8,700 ft, a Dinosaur Museum, and some of the best 4x4 roads in the nation.

Hi my name is Justin Haynes and I am a firefigher. I grew up in Teller County. I have worked for the Forest Service for many years. I strated working for the forest service in 2002 I was on one of many engines that responded to the Hayman fire a fire that burned 137,000 acres in 2002. I started working as a hotshot in 2004. I love my job and but wish I could spend my summers exploraing the area around the rainbow valley house.

Visited Garden of the Gods, Air Force Acedemy,Whitewater Rafting,Florissant Fossil Beds, Hiking in the woods. Vey Peaceful up here felt far removed from the crowds. We really loved the varied geography of Colorado.
