We spent a week at this beautiful, comfortable, well-maintained home at the shore. Wonderful location a short drive to Crane's Beach and half hour from Salisbury Beach. Numerous sliding doors provided cooling breezes. View from decks is spectacular. Very relaxing place to stay. Thoughtful, considerate owner called to make sure we were happy with the home.
Owner response:Thank you, Thank you! We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay.

This house was not toddler-friendly as advertised. There were no baby gates and there were two staircases (including a particularly dangerous spiral staircase). There are no doors on any of the bedrooms, so there is no privacy. The owner accused us of stealing her beer, and then backed down from the accusation without apologizing for making it in the first place. She also kept part of our security deposit for "excessive fingerprints" on the slide doors (she knew we had a toddler) and accused us of having excessive garbage in the garbage pails. There is a hot tub but its use is prohibited. The beach is not walking distance as advertised. The decor is not updated, and the furniture on the porch is in particularly bad condition. When we let the owner know of several small items that needed repairing, she accused us of causing the damage.
Owner response:I am sorry this family had such a negative experience. They seemed fine until I told them the cleaners were charging for excessive cleaning. There were dishes left in the sink, the refrigerator needed to be cleaned out, etc. It took the cleaners twice the amount of time than normal to clean before the next guests arrived. Yes, we do have baby gates, however, they may not have been set out in full view for their use. The spiral staircase has fencing around the top and yes, you do need to watch a toddler near any stairs. Most of our guests have blocked the staircase to keep small children away. As for updating, I'm not sure what she means. The whole house was completely gutted and transformed in 2003 to the latest available premium details. We try to keep the house in tip top condition however, some minor repairs are needed during the summer when guests come and go weekly. This house has an open floor plan which is mentioned in my description. Use of the hot tub was never advertised as stated in the contract due to liability issues. A ten minute walking distance is advertised which is easily achieved at a moderate pace following the directions left at the house. The home is professionally cleaned between rentals and inspected for damage. We have never had as many issues identified after a one week stay in the past, as evidenced by other reviews. We endeavor to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible.

Living on Great Neck was a "dream" as I was enjoying my youth in Ipswich. My dream was fulfilled this past summer when my wife and I rented this immaculate house. My in-laws joined us on the trip so we ventured out daily to introduce them to the treasures of the North Shore. The kitchen was wonderfull enabling us to cook fresh local seafood and garden produce every night. We will return!
Owner response:Thanks to great guests like these we continue to offer the best for our renters.

We stayed for two weeks in mid August. We had a wonderful time. The house has wonderful views and breezes. For us, the best part was the convenience to three great beaches. The two passes for both Crane and Clark beach are the key elements in making this house so enjoyable. The location was also very convenient to all the towns on the North Shore as well as to Boston. We hope to be back next year.
Owner response:We are so glad when our guests enjoy our home in Ipswich. We love it too. It is great when they can enjoy the area during any type of weather. There is so much to do in the area.

My family (two adults, one child) stayed for a week in mid July. We had a wonderful time. The views from the house are magnificent, and it is very convenient to Crane beach (fantastic beach, and pass was provided), and good for side trips to Salem, Rockport, and Boston. The house is very comfortable and has all the amenities--updated kitchen, wifi, cable tv and dvd. I highly recommend this property!
Owner response:We have been very lucky to have such nice guests at our home in Ipswich. They have been very respectful of our house and left the premisis as they found it, clean and ready for the next guests in a timely manner. We appreciate the quality of guests we have had in our home. Thank you

We had a great time this summer at this rental! The house was very clean, well-organized and had magnificent views. The wrap-around deck was beautiful, the sunsets stunning and the neighborhood quiet and nice for walking. Lovely garden and very nice neighbors! There is great beach access close by. A short drive away is Crane Beach, one of the nicest beaches on the eastern seaboard, and I've seen plenty of them! We really appreciated the beach sticker. Plum Island accessible via kayak from a nearby launch:the most amazing bird/wildlife sanctuary--beautiful surf and miles of shore.
