OUR CONDO: We bought this condo less than a year ago and immediately began redecorating it. Situated on the 21st floor in a modern high rise, you will find that this condo has all of the following NEW:

THE LOCATION:
We are located in the very center of Waikiki near the International Market Place, major hotels, and on the bus line. We are just a few steps from the beach. Our location is at Ala Wai and Walina, just steps from the only full size grocery store in Waikiki. This building is a favorite and has guests who book the same week every year.


OUR POLICIES:
Our condos are inspected monthly, updated yearly, and offer an excellent value for the quality and amenities offered. Both of our units were purchased within the past year. We have painted, scrubbed, and paid attention to every detail to get both of them ready for you.

We offer our guests a discount on repeat bookings and a gift certificate for referrals that result in a successful stay. You will not be able to find more for your money. Give us a try--you'll be glad you did.

CLEAN:
Clean seems to involve a judgment. Over the years I have learned that my clean and my neighbor's clean are different things. Obviously my clean and my children's clean are different----but my clean and my husband's clean are also different things. But spotless is an absolute. In our condo YOU are the judge. We leave the cleaning check list that we gave our cleaning staff inside the condo for our guests with a message: "This is the checklist that we left for our cleaning staff. We will call you shortly after your arrival to see if YOU are satisfied. We do not pay our cleaning staff until our condo meets your expectations!" Pretty simple concept!

THE PEOPLE:
Marie and Stan
We are retired educators. Marie [57 years old] was a middle school and high school counselor, and Stan [63 years old] was head of the Humanities Department at the local college. Retiring on the Outer Banks near our two grown children and three small grandchildren, we have lived and worked in North Carolina for 30 years. We will be glad to provide references upon request.

Year Purchased: 2007

Stan and I met at Kent State University and it was love at first site!! We have been married for over 40 years. Stan grew up in Boston and worked as head of the Humanities department at the community college. I grew up on a farm in Ohio and worked as a high school counselor. We have two grown children and six grandchildren under the age of six. We have retired on the Outer Banks of North Carolina

Why the Owner Chose Fairway Villa

We began traveling to Hawaii right after retirement. We went to all the islands for extended stays and decided we loved Oahu due to all of opportunities for seeing great classical music concerts. We began staying in different buldings and loved the Fairway Villa...After one stay there, the others just did not feel like home to us. The units that we rented were not as clean as we like or were they always on a high floor with great views. We decided that we wanted our own place so we could use it every year when we went back to the island.

The Unique Benefits of this Condo

There are so many things that sold us on this building: The location is wonderful. We like this part of Waikiki the very best. We also loved the roof top. Even though a few other buildings have a roof top, they are not as large, or as quiet. We wanted a full kitchen...not an under the counter refrigerator or a cook top. We wanted a washer/dryer in the unit, a lanai with rails not a brick enclosure. We wanted a view. We also like the keyed entry, parking stall, the friendly staff, and the festive ambience of the building. This building always felt like home from our very first stay.

    • We stayed in the Sunset Condo (2104) the month of November 2009 and had a wonderful time. This was the fourth time to stay in a condo on Waikiki. Stan and Marie’s was buy far the best and the most economical. The condo was clean and had excellent furnishings. Every morning we had coffee and read the newspaper on the lanai. Stan and Marie take excellent care of their condos, they painted the one we were in after we departed. Most owners would not have bothered to repaint. Several times we enjoyed just relaxing in their beautiful condo for the entire day. The Fairway Villa was quiet and always in great condition. There is 24/7 security and free covered parking space for the unit. We enjoyed the pool and sauna on the rooftop Great Condo - Great Location - Great Owners.

    • We stayed in the Sunrise Condo, #2207, for 40 days during the winter of 2009. It was our first time in the Fairway Villa, and we were very pleased. From the reservation stage to departure time, Marie was prompt, helpful & considerate. The condo was clean; washer/dryer were a bonus ! Security was great in the building, & we certainly enjoyed receiving the daily newspaper. Starter coffee, tea, laundry detergent, & spices were in the unit so that we did not have to buy these once we arrived. We look forward to spending time in Marie's unit again in 2010 !

    • We stayed in Stan and Marie's condo for about three weeks in December 2007 and loved it. My sister was coming for the holidays so Marie bought a couch with a fold out bed for the unit.Wow, now that is service! The condo was very clean and that is important to me. The view was great and the lanai where we sat often. The washer and dryer in the condo is so nice. We also like the building for the parking, security, and pool. The daily newspaper was also a bonus. Marie checked on us several times to be sure everything was fine. We communicate by email still. We keep trying to get back into her condo, but it is always full...but we will keep trying in the future. Great condo, great building, and great owners!

    • I stayed in 2 units in this building. Sunset Condo was by far the nicest. Marie kept in touch if I had any questions. There was a nice breeze from this side of the building and the air condition unit was on for only one of the nights I stayed. I loved the Wireless Internet service provided. There was a lovely thoughtfulness to the furnishings. I needed nothing! I adore this building. The Fairway Villa is a quiet building...always kept in wonderful condition. There is 24/7 security, a recreation/pool deck on the roof, a covered parking space (I only had a car for the last 4 days), a short walk to the shore and the bus stop. There is a small grocery store within 1 block.

    • We stayed in this condo for one month and just loved it. It was so clean, well maintained and close to everything -- grocery store, beach, international marketplace. The security people were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again sometime.

We ate breakfast every morning watching the sun dance on the mountains, and the golfers starting their day. The bed was brand new, thick and so comfortable that we slept many mornings later than we intended. The condo was located so convenient to everything that we only rented a car for a few days. Marie and Stan definately went the extra mile and provided us with so many perks which we appreciated. We had a daily newspaper delivered to our door, there was starter coffee, and laundry detergent in the condo, and so many spices that we didn't have to buy any once we arrived. We thought that we would go out every day, but we found that we loved the roof top pool. Many days we were the only one enjoying this wonderful spot. The views were unbelievable and we especially found it so romantic at night. We plan to stay again this coming year with Stan and Marie. They are amazing hosts.
