  This home was absolutely amazing! We arrived for a nice 'couples' (2) weekend on Friday and stayed through Monday. The home was exactly as described, and actually offered more than I've seen in other vacation rentals. The house is simply stunning, warm, comfortable, and offers everything you need to enjoy a weekend away. Being able to walk a few steps to the beach, even in December, made the stay even better. All we could picture was bringing our children up for a stay in the summer and how convenient the proximity to the beach is. The property was clean, well-equipped with all kitchen and bath related items, and just felt like home. It was easy to find, even in its' remote location, and although we had to drive a bit to get into Harbor Springs, it is a beautiful, relaxing drive. Mackinac City is a little closer, and we spent one day exploring the few shops that remain open in the winter. The only downfall is that the famous Legs Inn was closed for the season----had it been open, the convenience of its location (only about 3 miles from the property) would have been quite nice. During the rental process, the owner was very helpful and answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. I really appreciated the ease in booking this reservation. I would most definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a getaway, regardless of the time of year!!

  The house is just as pictured, no disappointments. It is very well designed, nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. The deck is bordered by trees, which isolate the neighboring homes, but the view to the lake is unobstructed. The bathrooms were modern and clean. After staying at 2 other homes on Lake Michigan that were up on the bluff with over 100 stairs to the beach, it was a pleasure to walk down a few steps from the deck and be on the sand. The location is quite isolated, about a 30 minute drive to Harbor Springs or Mackinaw City. There are only about 3 restaurants within a 7 mile radius, so be prepared to cook or drive. We mostly used the grill and had great meals. Overall, it is a beautiful place for a weeks stay.

  I found this rental home to be unbelievable. Have stayed in area several times before but this was by far the BEST location,well appointed place I have ever rented. The pictures are right on, there are views from every room, kitchen is gourmet, great privacy- beautiful beach to walk and walk on. Plan on returning.

  My wife and I vacationed with our two young children in the fall of '10. The home is absolutely stunning not only in its location but also in its design and craftsmanship which is warm and charming. The views of Lake Michigan are magnificant and it was extremely nice to have the beach only a few steps from the deck. The kids also loved their "camp" in the loft area of the house and also being able to go across the street and climb the sand dune and run back down. The proximity to Mackinac Island and Harbor Springs/Bay Harbor/Petoskey/Charlevoix was very nice as well. Most of all we just truly enjoyed a week together with few distractions. We look forward to coming back again this year.

  My family rented this house for one week during June of 2010. The house is very new construction and has the benefits of a newly constructed home. High ceilings, great views and an ideal layout all contribute to a comfortable setting. The beach is mostly sand with small pebbles. Very comfortable and the surrounding area / beach is great for children of all ages. If possible, we would certainly rent this home again next year.

  My family has been here twice in the past, and plan on going up this summer. The location is very secluded, includes a private beach with sandy bottom for excellent swimming. The accomodations are spacious and meticulously maintained. Great for boating, hiking, golfing, visiting nearby towns like Harbor Springs and Petoskey, or for relaxing and enjoying a cool lake breeze and spectacular sunsets. I would recommnet this gem to anyone!
