  We spent 4 nights here between Christmas and New Years. Lewes is our favorite summer vacation spot with our extended family and usually stay in Cape Shores. We were looking for someplace smaller as it would only be 4 of us (me, husband, and 2 kids 13 and 10) and we wanted to bring Rosie, our Golden Retriever. Evelyn's place was perfect! The size was just right, the location was central to everything, the condo was clean and well-appointed and Rosie loved chasing the ducks that live on the pond out back. We'd never been to Lewes/Rehoboth in the winter and will not hesitate to return. We had wonderful meals at Agave in Lewes (minus the 3 hour wait you get in the summer), Big Fish and Henlopen City Oyster House. We walked the beach one day, found lots of cool shells and sea glass and Rosie enjoyed romping in the sand. We watched movies and played board games, both of which we brought with us but didn't need to since there were tons available at the condo. In all, had a wonderful time just relaxing as a family after a particularly busy and stressful year. We're already planning next winter's trip! Thanks!

  This condo is in a building just off of Route 1, and only about 10 minutes drive to Lewes Beach, 15 minutes to the beach at Cape Henlopen, and for those who have to shop, just minutes from a plethora of outlets as well. The parking is plentiful, and the condo entrance is only about 8 steps from the elevator (so easy to unpack after a long drive!). You enter into a vestibule complete with a boot tray for sandy or wet shoes, a coat closet, and a thoughtfully provided umbrella for rainy trips to the car. A few steps later is a bedroom on either side of the hallway, then a nice-sized bathroom on the left (which also has a connecting door to the bedroom on the left). To the right, the kitchen opens up with a peninsula dividing it from the open dining/ living area. The master bedroom, with a large adjoining bath, is on the left (we've previously rented places with bathrooms the size of the attached walk-in closet!). At the far end of the living room a tile-floored sunporch (accessed by a sliding glass/ screen door), with lots of windows, looks over a small pond. Both the sunporch and the master bedroom open up to a small balcony. All rooms are furnished comfortably and were very clean. I would have loved to sit on the sunporch and read, but it was just too chilly when we were there. :) The kitchen (there is a small and efficient laundry room across the hall) is bright and spacious and well-equipped. I would suggest to the Owner the addition of a set of mixing bowls for pancake batter, scrambling eggs, etc. but I found some serving bowls that did the job well enough. And I loved the small labels on cabinets describing their contents-- it not only appealed to the OCD in me, but made it very easy to maneuver around an unfamiliar kitchen while making meals. Television had lots of cable channels for my husband, and I enjoyed the fast wifi connection on my laptop. There is also a good selection of games and books. Our favorite restaurants in the area are Agave, Striper Bites, and an Italian trattoria across the street from Striper Bites, all located in Lewes. Go Brit, located near this condo, has good fish & chips. Cape Henlopen State Park has paved bike trails (and bike rentals, I think that they are free although we bring our own), a very interesting nature center, and awesome beaches and views of both the ocean and bay. This was a perfect condo AND area for us to stay in, and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

  We rented the unit because my husband was running the Dogfish Head 10K on Sunday and wanted to make a weekend of it without spending a fortune to get away for a few nights..we were so lucky to find Evelyn and her wonderful unit! The location was perfect, we explored Lewes and Rehoboth both in one day without wasting a lot of time driving. We zipped in and out of the outlet malls to look through the stores we were interested in, everything we needed was close by and convenient. The property was very clean, we felt safe being there, the unit was well stocked, beds comfy...we will be back again at least once a year to run, if not more and we hope to stay here on our visits! Thank you for helping make our weekend away a sucess!

  As noted by other reviewers, the pictures do not do justice to this lovely condo. We spent quite a bit of time in the sunroom playing games that were available. The house is stocked with so many extras - there was even a bike and a razor scooter in my daughter's room! Everything was very clean and comfortable. Communication with Evelyn was excellent. We won't even look at other places the next time we take a trip to the beach. I've already recommended it to everyone I've spoken to since returning!

  MY husband and I waited for our home to be complete in Magnolia.de. in this well located condo//owners were very accomidating to our needs and seemed to care about any problems that arose..we would definately recommend property to others//we enjoyed the sun on the deck all winter..we will be leaving here early may and will put this experience in our book of memories//thank you,evelyn!!!!!!!!!!!

  Recently stayed at the condo for a long weekend. The location is ideal. Enjoyed our wine on the porch and I enjoyed the sunroom for reading. Evelyn is a great host and very responsive to any questions. We enjoy the beach during the off season and hope to return soon.

  We took everyone on vacation, the kids, Mom-Mom and the dog. We had lot of room for everyone and more! The owners also thought of everything that we did not bring. There were even toys for my little one to play with! This is a great rental with lots of room in the middle of everything!

  We stayed at this unit for 5 months while our new home was being built nearby. Because of a time crunch, we had to book quickly and look for a place that would accept a cat. I had several callbacks but Evelyn was the first and the most gracious. Not only would she take us on such short notice, but gladly accepted our pet. My husband and I settled in for a long stretch while the new house was being completed. To say it became our real home is an understatement! Evelyn and Andrea outfitted this unit with everything imagineable for a comfortable stay, from all linens and a fully equipped kitchen to sporting needs for the beach or golf course. There are 4 TVs in the unit, a DVD player, and a stereo - including many movies, CDs, and box games. Location is perfect being halfway between Lewes and Rehoboth; the outlets are less than a mile away. Our favorite spot, however, was the balcony where we spent many quiet evenings listening to the frogs and watching the ducks. The second floor location of the unit has its advantages - no other guests walking by your space or intruding upon your privacy. Evelyn phoned us frequently to see how we were doing and to offer her advice on local attractions and such. Of course we were very happy when our new home was finally available but it was tinged with sadness that we had to leave our "home" of the past few months. It is a clean and well-thought out unit and we would highly recommend this unit to anyone! Thank you Andrea and Evelyn!

  Very nice home and amenities! The pictures really don't reflect the comfort. We felt at home right away and enjoyed our stay. Just about equi-distant to Henlopen State Park and Rehoboth Beach; also close to shopping, grocery, restaurants, etc. We would definitely recommend the place and stay here again. Thanks!

  This was such a fabulous place to stay that I wanted to tell everyone but then I thought "Maybe I just want to keep it all to myself so I won't have to compete with all of you for dates when I want to go again!" This was by far the cleanest, most well equipped, cared for property I've rented among the dozens & dozens of home rentals over the years. Charming, cared for, perfect! I stayed for 11 nites to enjoy the off-season at the beach while attending a conference in the area and it was close to everything I wanted, quiet, perfectly well equipped. I'll definitely stay again and will bring my husband for a summer time stay so we can enjoy all that the Delaware beaches offer.
