Rental is by owner, with our rates at a special discount. Approximately 15% savings over rates charged when rented through realtors. Our home is a cozy, one story Bayfront house, newly painted and roofed, on a large wooded 1.5 acre lot which offers privacy and a relaxing view across Apalachicola Bay. It is located in The Plantation, a private, gated community with lush native, tropical plantings. Our single story home overlooks the bay without having to walk to an upper level to see water, as one often must do in homes not directly on the water. 2 Queen bedrooms, 1 twin bed bedroom. One full bath, plus two additional bathrooms sharing a tub/shower room between them. Two air conditioners, allowing a different setting in two of the bedrooms from the rest of the house. Private dock with boat slip, circular driveway for boat/trailer. Additional outdoor hot/cold shower. Large, custom park style grill. WiFi. We love using our home ourselves, and keep it clean and well supplied.
House cleaners expected to be $140 in 2013. We had to slightly increase our price to help cover this. Cleaning is included in our listed price.

Kath, Thank you for sharing you wonderful home with us... we really had a lovely time the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking... we went to state park which was awesome for fishing in surf and NOT ANOTHER SOUL around!!! also, there was no oil sheen or anything on the water or beaches..in your little bit of heaven. thanks again, Janis A., July 2010
Kath,
Loving our stay here at Cypress Cove! The floor plan is very spacious, love the wood floors, screened porch and all the windows/doors. We are the only humans on the Bayview Drive this week. Even if the other houses on this block were rented this is still so private.
We've been coming here for years and this week is the clearest and cleanest waters I have seen with the prettiest turquoise color.
People don't know what they are missing.

The home was beautiful! It was just as it was described online and had all the comforts of home.location was so pretty & peaceful. Mrs.Kirn was very friendly & nice. She was very informative about anything we wanted to know, as so was her daughter. We loved it & had a great time. We took our dog & he had a wonderful yard to play out in. I would recommend this place to anyone I know. It was very clean, peaceful &we can not wait to go back! The beaches are beautiful and clean. Our Dalmatian Hunter love playing and swimming on the beach. The sunset on the bay was breathtaking & beautiful every day. The sunset was worth the trip down there . Have fun on the island !Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed our week at Bayview. The house was warm and charming and spotlessly clean. We so loved the screened porch, and it was terrific sitting out on the porch for our morning coffee, watching all of the birds. We enjoyed the best of all worlds--beautiful sunsets on the bay side and then able to walk across the road to the beach side. What a gorgeous beach and we took long walks every day with the dog. The whole area is very dog-friendly and we had no problems sitting outside on a patio with the dog. We wish we were fishermen as we saw lots of fish being caught during the week, right off of the shoreline, but that didn't stop us from having terrific fresh seafood dinners! Apalachicola is a charming town with cute stores and unique wares. It was refreshing to not shop in the same cookie-cutter storefronts available everywhere. And we thoroughly recommend the local bakery, Some like it Hot, on SGI, especially for the Thursday evening mixer.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We loved our week spent here. The pictures don't do the house justice-- it's much bigger and nicer in person. The dock was great and the view terrific. Bring your bikes or look into renting some because that was one of the highlights for us. The Blue Parrot restaurant can't be missed and Boss Oyster in Apalachicola has the best crab cakes ever. Also, the shopping in Apalachicola was great, too! Kathryn is a fantastic owner! I'd absolutely recommend this house!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our stay was the perfect hideaway. The cottage is surrounded by the nature of Florida. The view overlooking the bay is beautiful. The beach, pool, tennis courts, and fishing are only short walking distances. It is a great place for bikes. We loved the privacy.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We only stayed one night in this nice home due to Tropical Storm Debbie. We love St. George Island and vacation there each year and we were so disappointed to leave. However, Kathryn was very understanding and refunded our money due to the mandatory evacuation. Cypress Cove is beautiful and clean and roomy. I know we would have had a wonderful time and will certainly rent from this owner again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Cypress Cove, was so much more than we could have asked for. The accomodations were fantastic and the views amazing. If you have an opportunity to rent Cypress Cove, BOOK IT, as you will NOT BE disappointed. Also, for a fantastic Deep Sea fishing adventure, contact Journeys of St George and book a trip with Captain Clint. Between the Amber Jack, King Mackeral, Grouper, Sea Bass, and Snapper we have enough fish for a year and that was only after 2 1/2 hours........Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Hi Kath, It is Saturday evening, and we have been home several hours now. We had a great time on our visit to SGI. We were quite happy with Cypress Cove. We are already contemplating a revisit next year during the same time period. Perhaps I will send some of the pics I took to you later. For now I have another 298 email messages to answer.
