This elegant little hideaway has one foot in Truman Annex and the other in Bahama Village. This great location, together with an interior by one of Key West's favorite designers and its exquisite deck surrounded by palms and orchids makes for a home run home base for your Key West get away.
We have a HD Plasma TV in the living room. The floors are travertine, the counter-tops granite. The furniture and art are truly beautiful. There is a table and chairs on the deck that you'll use often.
Through the front door is the Truman Annex, a stately gated community carved from the old Navy base.This path leads to the swimming pool, Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach and the Key West waterfront where the Sunset Celebration occurs nightly. You're also just two blocks from "lower Duval" where you'll find the wonderful Tropic Cinema showing indie and interesting films, Sloppy Joe's, Hog's Breath and other fun venues and of course, restaurants and shopping.
Through the garden gate, you'll find some incredible restaurants within a block- Santiago's Bodega and Blue Heaven are two. Also this way are the gay bars, some of which have very worthwhile drag shows. Petronia Street also has some very unique shops. Don't miss Besame Mucho! You'll love this rental!

I'm a "Freshwater Conch" who migrated in from Tyler, Texas 15 years ago and spent five years as an Innkeeper, co-owning and operating Thew Nassau House on Fleming Street. I adore Key West and it will always be a home to me.
