My husband and I just spent 10 nights at Charlotte's with our 6 year daughter. We loved every minute of our stay. The accommodations were better than we expected. The suite was clean, spacious and very well equipped. We were very pleasantly surprised with the 2nd bedroom set up that we had not expected. The pool was great and the location was very accessible to plenty of fantastic beaches, restaurants and shops within minutes and a reasonable drive into Waikiki for some night life or shopping. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and often the only sounds we could hear were the birds and our daughter (sorry Charlotte's, she does not have a quite little voice!). Thanks for the hospitality and Aloha spirit!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

After a week in downtown Honolulu, this was the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of downtown, nothing but the sounds of nature all around us. Very private, even thought he owners are right above. We were able to meet the entire family throughout our stay and all were very friendly and welcoming. I wan't sure how i felt about not having a stove accessible, but the meals we prepared we mostly made up of local fruits and produce that didn't need to be cooked and it worked out better that way. A coffee shop and grocery store and only a few minutes drive down the hill and so is the beach. It's a great location and we will definitely recommend it to our friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: It's always great to see people "unwind" here. They did it right by coming here after working in Honolulu for a week. Although some prefer not to cook while on vacation, we have everything you would need to do so. Just no oven. The kitchen is spacious, bright and fully equipped. Thank you Cesar! Hope we see you again when you can stay longer :-)

Our experience with the home in Pupukea was outstanding. Everything was great - the price, working with the owners, the accomodations, as well as the beautiful warm weather which we are sure they ordered for us. The accomodations were exactly as pictured, however there were hidden amenities such as coffee in the cabinet, catsup in the refrigerator, and even sunscreen and mosquito repellent in the bathroom cabinet. This property is located in the lower level of the owner's home. We would never had known that they were there (they were so quiet) if we hadn't met them when we first came. The whole family was lovely and very accomodating in sharing their little piece of heaven on earth. The apartment was large and clean. We ate breakfast and 4 dinners out of 7 at the apartment , so one could cook with the microwave, toaster oven and hot plate. We did find groceries very expensive (but that was not their fault)! If you want a quiet and serene place, with chirping birds in the mornings, and a beautiful pool and grounds, this is the place. A word to the wise, come in the daylight as it would be difficult but not impossible to find at night. Charlotte gave excellent turn by turn instructions as well as good advice of what to do in the area. It's about an hour or so (depending on the traffic) to Honolulu. However it is worth staying on the North Shore because of it's quaintness and small town atmosphere. Therefore we didn't mind the drive into the city to see the sites. Do spend some time checking out the small towns on the North Shore however. In Haleiwa, there are great places to eat and shop. The North Shore is lined with many beaches, all of which offer different scenery. We usually ended the day watching the sunset at a different beach. Ted's Bakery is a good place to get chocolate creme pie and plate lunches. Waimea Falls is very close and is a slow and gentle hike. We also had a blast watching the Pipe Pro Surfing competion on Sunset Beach. The waves on the North Shore in the winter months are very large (20-30ft) most days which does prevent a novice from swimming or surfing there. So a big thank you to Charlotte and Kevin for sharing their home with us. We highly recommend contacting them to see if your vacation could be as great as ours was.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Pupukea Pools is everthing it says it is and more. The property was clean, nicely furnished, well stocked and the garden was beautiful! Chacha was warm, friendly, and very attentive. The unit is on the lower level of their house but I never would have known it. The location is quiet but very close to the happenings of the North Shore and the view on the drive down to the Kam highway was awesome! That's where Foodland and Starbucks is, Pupukea Beach and Shark's Cove where you definitely want to go snorkeling. It's just a short drive to the historic town of Haleiwa one way and Sunset Beach/Pipeline for all the surfers the other way. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to do any of those things or anyone who just wants to chill and beach hop like I did. I will return!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I just spent there 10 days with my husband and we LOVED IT! The apartment is really charming and has everything you need. The property itself is beautiful and Charlotte is a really really nice host. It is in fact a special place, so quiet and peaceful and in our opinion one of the most beautiful spots on the island. The view out of the car driving down to the beaches is breath taking. We hope to be back soon... PS: As you are surrounded of this huge garden, you need to be relaxed concerning all kinds of insects. Well... but that's the country!;-) But don't worry, there are mosquito nets!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Everything about this place was wonderful! We had a wonderful stay there for our honeymoon. Charlotte was there to greet us when we arrived and after giving us a quick tour of the place and a warm aloha welcome she gave us our privacy and was so hospitable. We loved how the location was away from all the other tourists and it was incredibly quiet and we were so relaxed. The drive down the mountain to the beach and Kamehameha Hwy is beautiful! It's so close to Haleiwa, where you can see turtles, shop at the local shops, rent a boat and eat at Haleiwa Joes. It truly is a fabulous place to stay and we are grateful to Charlotte for being a wonderful hostess to us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is the most Romantic, spectacular and amazing place on earth. I didn't even know places like this existed. This was absolutely HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!! My husband and I spent our Honeymoon here . We got married on May 7th, 2010 and we left to go here for our honey moon on the 10th-20th. I feel so very lucky and blessed to of had the chance to Meet the Owner and to have had the chance to stay here. . She is the sweetest most thoughtful and kind hearted person you will ever meet. If you want privacy this is the place for you. I Recommend staying here if your on your honeymoon , anniversary, or just want a get away for 2. Lots of things are near bye too. When you decide to stay at this Tropical paradise Waimia Valley is up the road its a botanical garden with a waterfall you can swim in. lifeguards are on duty here in this 30 ft deep waterfall pool . If your a horse lover go up the road a little ways . Happy trails. is a wonderful place you can go horse back riding through Mt. Pupukea The views are Absolutely breath taking. The ocean is only 10 minutes away. You can watch the dolphins swim at sunset. Snorkeling is near here too. Do you wanna get out and see town make sure you take a G.P.S. go to Waikiki . Need to relax and get away from stress? How about a Thi massage on the 38th floor? Don't waste your money and stay in a hotel. Stay at Cha Cha's its like having your own vacation home. Dont just take my word for it. Take a vacation and stay here, find out for yourself, How amazing this private out of the city hustle and bustle Vacation home can be. THANK YOU SO INCREDIBLY MUCH CHA CHA FOR ALLOWING US TO STAY AT THIS TROPICAL PARADISE OF YOURS AND TREATING US LIKE FRIENDS. WE WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK. HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOME TIME SOON!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My wife and I just returned from a week at Chacha's rental home at the Pupukea location on the North Shore. We were very comfortable in the well supplied, extremely clean and very private accomodations. I highly recommend this rental for two that don't want to spend time in the hussle of Honolulu.
